Mr. Enna did the work, so I can't really take much credit beyond the fact that I must have whined enough to get him to fix it. I'm pretty sure Mr. Enna found exact directions for the project online. If you want more info, I can check with him.

Now, the notebook geek in the cartoon is more like me than Mr. Enna. I'm the one who will see a bird or flower or other natural phenomena and feel at a total loss because I can't look up more information about it immediately.

I think I'd be AFRAID of getting more info... <chuckles> ... but I do appreciate your offer. It was a ton of work to break down the notebook computer. I have photos and it was litterially EVERY SCREW being removed to dissassemble it - and we didn't really fix anything. I am using it as is now with the cut corner of a credit card used to provide physical support and stability so I can plug a power plug in...

So - I'll keep ya in mind! Thanks again for the offer...

Wow, I am amazed that someone else knows about this! This was one of the things we learned about when #2 was going through all of his problems (it took months before they figured out what was wrong with him). Matt doesn't have a lot of the other signs (chest, pinkie/thumb measurements), but because he is so tall and is a competitive swimmer, the doctor recommended having his heart checked when he is in HS. We will also have to watch his eyes as he is very near-sighted and this could lead to detached retinas.

How did they diagnose your brother? We were told it is a genetic condition. My husband, his sister, and her son are very tall, but they all stopped growing. My other two sons are about 6'1.5". We think the meds messed with James' growth, and Eric may still grow as he is only 15.

My brother went through extensive testing before the diagnosis was confirmed. But because of so many other issues with him it wasn't diagnosed until 4 or 5 years ago. He doesn't have the chest but does have the thumb/pinkie. They have tried him on numerous med's but he continues to grow. At this point his heart is really bad and they don't think that he would survive the heart surgery. Because of some other mental issues (he is considered boarderline retarded and is bi-polar amongst other things) he is in a supportive living home, which takes some of the pressure off of my mom, but of course doesn't lessen the guilt.

Crash, you are just too, too much!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Why thank You Andy...

... but you have not seen the back yard yet, have you?

We break ground on expanding the skinny lap pool into a proper lake tomorrow at 9AM! We ought to be done by 5PM again!!!!

<soft snickerring>

And here i thought i was the only one who had to resort to such tactics...

I asked for hooks to be put up in our closet over a week ago...Still no hooks...

i hate flipping out cause then my blood pressure goes up but sometimes it's like he never listens.....

Is there a particular reason why a woman can't pick up a screwdriver and install the hooks herself? ;)

SWMBO and I are looking for new cars. She was excited that one had tire pressure sensors since it meant I'd stop yelling at her to check the tire pressure.

Thank you, it's never to late to share, especially when there are blessings involved!!! :goodvibes

6' 3" in 8th grade, WOW!!!

Sometimes I feel sorry for him; he looks so out of place!

Your Angelina is your blessing; I love all the pictures you post of her. She is so beautiful and looks so happy. You and Hazel have three angels, and she is the one here on earth.

Okay, so I left here last night at around page 1815 and now we're at something like 1900!!! I can't read it all, well not tonight at any rate. But I just tried skimming some pages and found something very different here today friends...........

I am used to all the joking and laughing and teasing here, but I ran across some heart-wenching stuff here and try as I might, I may not be able to get to it all tonight, but for those who shared their innermost feelings and heartache, Bless You. I feel honored that you would share your sorrow and struggles with us. Thank you!

I found a pirate sign in San Francisco that said "What happens onboard, STAYS onboard". Was I smart enough to buy it when I first saw it? Noooo....I thought I'd get it on the way back. Guess what? We didn't go that way on the way back! :headache:

Do you remember where it was? Maybe I could venture over and get some.

We had given up all hope of adopting after we lost BJ, the pain was just too much, I went into a 15 month depression and had nearly given up on life, one week later, we got the call about Angelina. I learned my lesson then about never giving up. I wish you all the best with your adoption!!! :goodvibes

Stories like yours make me realize how truly blessed we all are. No matter how much our kids drive us nuts, we wouldn't trade them for all the Mickey bars in the world. I don't know how you and your wife made it through -- I don't know that I would have had the strength to make it, but there was a good reason you did. Thank you for sharing your story.
