I don't think I'll be going back for free dining. Since we're going in Nov. Well, now that I think about it, this weekend when we were in San Antonio, my sister and her DBF said they wanted to go to WDW but not when we go in Nov because she can't get off work, so I'll ask her if they will want to go if FDP comes out!

Girl, I feel your pain. I had a very long discussion last night with a brick wall. He likes disney, but doesn't see why we should go more than once a year. What???? Anywho, he is VERY, FATALLY, DISGUSTINGLY, practical. . We have no car payments, no credit debt, we of course have a mortgage (god forbid) and college illinois for jul and retirement (which he maxes out every year). And he makes really good money. He has this ridiculous savings goal for 2007 and I really believe that after he reaches that, then he will just say, "now we pay off the house before we do anything else". Seriously. I am sorry, but is Jul going to be 6 forever? Is she going to be into princesses forever? I wish! When she is grown and gone, then what?

I told him that if any other guy he knows was in the room with us, they would have punched him. (For his negative outlook on his very postive situation.)

Whoa. I don't feel as better as I thought I would. I still think we need to disney while we have Jul.

Jenn - I hear you! Mike would be even worse than Sean - his motto is "we've been to Disney why would you need to go back"....that's why when free dining comes out & I SHOW him what a great deal it is, he caves....I pinch pennies from my "allowance" and save the spending money. ok ok, I know I get an allowance! hahaha But really I like it that way...every paycheck Iget X dollars transferred from our joint account to my account. Out of that money I pay for running the household - Not the mortgage, insurance, gas, lights etc...but grocery, target, dry cleaning, vet, etc....I get a good amount and typically have a few hundred left over every month. THAT money is what I use for all the extras - scrapbook, disney, great american, trips with the girls etc. Mike pays for all the skating - thank God, or I'd be seriously broke, but I pay for summer camps, dance etc...It works out really well for me, When I save money I KNOW it's going for something I want/need....

So when the Disney discussion rolls around...he'll typically say - ok, I'll give you X & you have to pay for the rest....! So with free dining & good planning, we can have a blast on a little bit of money!

I know what you mean. I think we are actually going to try that. So you save for disney out of the money he gives you, or out of the money you put away before he gives you money? KWIM? I need to just play around with the numbers and see where I can get myself.

My thing is that Jul is not going to be little forever. Soon enough she will close her door and turn up her music. And NOT want to go on vacay with mom and dad.

Plus, it really really bugs me that he doesn't see what a good situation we already have. His brother, for example, has gone thru bankruptcy, they did hormones twice for babies (have 3), the babies(twins) were born 2 months preemie with problems still. Then his wife has surgery. He is a bartender and his wife is the one who brings home the money. And she was off for MONTHS with the babies and then her surgery. (Alot unpaid b/c she used all her time off) They have bills on top of bills on top of bills. I think his brother would beat him up if he heard him.

Nuuu-uh!!!! He may not deserve it, although when it comes to Disney, Im not ashamed to admit Ive ho'd myself out, for it! Heck yeah!!! And once they say yes - it's yes!

A quick update to my original post. I read today that a lady who says she works for a company that Disney advertises with saw an upcoming ad proof that reads, "FREE DINING, it's delicious - don't believe us, ask the dishes." She said that it quotes a 5nt/6day package for $455 per adult based on double occupancy, with the offer being available most nights from 8/26-9/22. The date that bookings begin was not mentioned. I would expect that this would be a sample quote for a value resort. She also didn't mention what day this ad would run, so unfortunately it's all still rumor at this point. I hope that Disney does finally announce this officially very soon for those of you who are waiting

Disney Visa's free dining comes out a few days before the general public one.... if it's done like last year (and the year before)

Morning! i'm dyyyiiingggg today! i've been cramping, but the doc said to just relax! I asked if he knew my kids!!! Dh wants to come home, but i told him i would be fine. I have to just sit still for about an hour and then call the doc back. Sooo bad mommy me, put Cinderella on!

You could save more money by doing it Chris style and just take Jules solo. Honestly! so many people do it and then you are only paying for one adult AND there are soo many POPpers going that if you planned it out to go with someone else, it could be alot of fun! (ooo now i wanna go! hahah who wants to travel with a 7month pregnant woman! haha)
