It would be great if I could meet up with fellow DIS'ers since it is just going to be us.......:scared1: Dare I take the boys to WDW by myself :scared1:

Well be sure to keep in touch with us, because you never know. If we are there in 2009, we'd definitely love to meet up.

Also in the main planning section there's a thread somewhere for single DIS parents to meet up on vacation. Its kind of funny, because some of the folks post their pictures, and use it as a dating site! :rotfl2: Last thing on my mind when taking my DD to Disney is "hooking up".

Ohhh nooo, I hope that doesn't happen to him, I am hoping that since it is so small it might not matter, he said that it would be undetectable after it is covered by his own muscle but he just had surgery the week before school started and don't think that it will be covered by December. Then again he said that it could take up to 2 yrs to see any difference in his heart or it might not heal itself at all but at his 2 wk check up his heart had completely healed itself, only needed .2 to go.

Sounds like a scary experience for you. I'm so glad he's recovering well! :flower3:

We did have buttons one cruise with everyone's DIS name and real first name. It helped when we were meeting. We attached them to our lanyards.

Nametags are a great idea! How did you attach them? Did you just use a pin to pin them on, or clip them to the bottom?

:lmao: :rotfl: Now I thought you were suggesting the we paint Julie's DH's lime green! :lmao:

Ok, really... you guys are gonna scare him. :scared1:

He's being a party pooper about the whole thing. Saying he's not gonna wear the shirt or anything. But I'm the one packing the luggage. :rolleyes1

We can't let him know I've been talking about him... shhhh. :tiptoe:

Okay, I added a lime green Mickey that folks can use to make nametags to the blog in the DIS Meets section (now located at the top).

Also, I remembered that we do have room for a single person for our Brunch request at Palos. We are at 13, and the max is 14.

Marsha you are more than welcome, but also wanted to let anyone else who's willing to ditch their travelmate for brunch know that I have an opening!

We should hear something next week!!

So last night I asked DD if she wanted to go trick or treating with the neighbor kids, or help me pass out candy. Since we live in a neighborhood with lots of Americans, we get lots of American tricker treaters from both in and outside the neighborhood.

I told her if she wanted to dress up and pass out candy, that I'd buy her a bunch of candy next time we go to the commissary. She quickly agreed that this was a good idea. She gets to stay warm and dry on Halloween night and then gets to pick out her own candy!

Okay after all the MVMCP talk I decided to check on staying at WDW a couple nights after the cruise. Once I started thinking about it, I decided to add a night at the front end too! I called UA, and even though there was a 100 Euro/pp cost to change the flights, the new dates are priced lower so it came out almost even. It was like $4 per person to make the change!

So now I've got to find a place to stay on the 5th, 15th, and 16th. With the scheduled shuttle launch, I'm thinking of staying down in Cape Canaveral on the 5th and hoping the launch goes off as planned.

Hopefully I can get something with DVC on the 15th and 16th. I'm not picky at this point. I'm thinking we'd do EPCOT and CP on the 15th, and I just got the tix for the MVMCP on the 16th.

I hope the launch is delayed until we sail, like last year. We saw it from just offshore and it was Spectacular. The Captain hung around the Port for awhile, just so we could see it. But, you all knew that I bet? :confused3 :thumbsup2

Hi all!

Up with sleep troubles. Yawn! I hate when this happens, (every night). LOL. Usually only happens during certains times of the year. Especially October and May

:confused3

:grouphug: to all. TTYL !

That's what I've been hoping for too. To see the launch from onboard the Magic....wow!! But then I've also been thinking about that pre-launch traffic...yikes!

I figured there wasn't anything else I COULD change on this trip, but I guess I should never say never.

Also looks like it'll only be about $10 more to change our return transfer from 1 SUV limo to a towncar to WDW for DD and me, and a van to MCO for everyone else.

I've never done WDW after the cruise before. Where do the busses drop off? When we stayed at the Contemporary and Shades of Green, we had to take a taxi to the Poly.
