Congrats:cheer2: I'm sure you are enjoying a bit of a rest while they are out for dinner...but they'll be back, and I bet they're all pretty excited:) Glad you had a great day, wishing you another one tomorrow.

Thank you so much for the good wishes!! The kids are all coming in now....(7:38 EST)

Our basement has an air hockey table, pin ball machine and pool table. They have plenty to keep them busy as well as watching TV and movies!!

First I will admit -I have not read all 302 pages of this thread (Man you people talk a lot :scared1: ) so pardon me if this has been asked and answered.

My wife just informed me that she wants us to join in on the Bunko during the WB -- is this still going on? I was going to PM DisneyLover5 as stated at the beginning of this thread (Oh so many pages ago!) but they do not show up on the list???

If someone could PM me and let me know if this is still an option and who to contact my wife would be happy, and in turn that would make me happy :rolleyes1

BTW -- just made our final payment!!!! WE ARE REALLY GOING!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa (disneylover5) just posted right above you, she is still doing bunco. Try a pm from her post.

For all others with well wishes for my dd...thanks.
It's been a tough year. We thought she might have ADD, but luckily it's just some kind of adaptive issue. They attribute it to changing from 3rd to 4th grade (lots more work) and the change in her home life at her dads. She only see's her dad everyother weekend. BUT when you've had someone all to yourself for almost 10 years (and he dotes on her) it was hard to have to share. He did tell me that he was moving in before, but he was nervous( weird right?) about telling her. AND basically he was living with his GF before he officially moved in. Anyways, good thing in her testing was, she's at or above grade level in all subjects. So it's not a learning issue. Phew!

Thanks again for the thoughts. She's really a sweet girl who loves people. In fact, I told her about our mini girls meet in feb. and she is soo excited to meet the other girls in our area. She has a countdown going in her room!

Steph

My daughter is excited too! She has the date on her calendar as well. She has been telling me from time to time how many days are left until she meets some other cruise friends. My daughter is very kind and cares so much about her friends and she is so excited about meeting everyone and the cruise in general I worry about when she has to say goodbye to all her new best friends :sad1:

Hugs to your daughter. :grouphug: It is hard to share your Daddy with a new family. Hopefully he will make time for just her during her weekends with him. Alot will depend on GF's attitude about it.

I agree 100%. I hope her dad will see that he has to make special time for JUST her. I hope the GF will not be a roadblock in their daddy/daughter relationship.

Those are good!

DEB, there's a Tink one!

My GD Serenity went for her 4 month check up yesterday, she is already 16 lbs and 26" long! I sure do miss her. She is rolling around and also rotating herself around by kicking:angel: Her mom says she spins until she loses sight of her mom and then cries/fusses until she works her way around and can see her again :upsidedow

Kathe
wow - do you have any pics??! I bet she is soo cute!

My Haley will just not gain weight...she is 22lbs at 3! I am wondering what her ped will say at her well check up...probably not much, he maintains if they are eating???!!!

My DH went to the Nordstrom here and they said they would have to send it back to the store I bought it from because of all the fake bags out there. So I thought they would just confirm it wasn't fake, and take it back. We got a call from the Nordstrom at Mall of America and they said they were sending it back because it had been worn...which is true, but I have returned shoes that I have worn when they just end up killing my feet and there never has been a problem. I did assume they had the same cancellation, but I suppose I see where they are coming from. Maybe they thought I bought it to "borrow" it - but that wasn't the case. I honestly changed my mind....oh well. Lisa

Wow I would have never thought they could do that. I always feel free to spend money at Nordstroms knowing that if I find something a bad product or made poorly they will take it back. Heck everyone knows Nordstroms will take back ANYTHING. I wonder if you could complain and they would take it back. I mean cmon that is a huge part of what they are known for. Maybe tell Nordstroms customer service that you assumed they had the same policies being that they were under the same roof?

Got it -- thanks it seems to have worked this time.

I guess I was doing something wrong -- after all, I am only a guy....

We are so looking forward to seeing all of you on the cruise.

WOW guys!! My heart is really going out to ... so many of you ... today!!

My oldest Tiffany is "in remission" (and has been for 4 years) from Leukemia ... praise God!!

In addition to her 2.5 years of in-hospital treatments, we have struggled thru so many challenges ... medical, cancelled vacations, etc. ... that I am reading about. Please know that I am seriously praying that everyone's situation works out for the best (and I know that we do not always know what "the best" is, so I confidently leave it in hands much greater than mine). :cloud9:

I will say that we went our first DCL cruise as our celebration of her "end of treatment" and it was so truly WONDERful, we decided to book the MAGIC for 14days as a truly "once in a lifetime" family memory ... and it was!! :cheer2:

... well here we are ... everyone is still happy and healthy ... and we going again (even tho it means juggling our family finances and cutting back in other areas) because our priority right now is to share this time together before they are all off to college or whatever life may have in store.

I believe Family Vacations (and I am talking all families, in every shapes/sizes, whether blood related or friendships and everything in between), and making memories to last a lifetime, are so important!! (In fact, that is the name of my travel company)

I am sending some Pixie Dust to everyone that the challenges can be met ... or at least somewhat overcome. I am very much looking forward to seeing everyone onboard!! :grouphug:

:tinker: Karen

Very wise words. Thanks for sharing.

We're close enough that the girls will be able to keep in touch. :goodvibes

V-I have pics but still haven't gotten around to figuring out how to post! And yes, she is cute:angel: :cloud9:
Isn't it amazing how different babies and young children can be ? Main thing is that they're healthy of course, and Haley seems pretty healthy, right? Funny, if we're not worrying that they aren't gaining enough, then we worry they are gaining too much:upsidedow

Aren't ya freaked out about it? I'm too scared to watch it, it would haunt me on the ship.

and I have to say Samantha loves Titanic....last cruise though I could almost hear her thoughts at tha safety drill....

and yes, I suck as a mom......they watch things they shouldn't, but I was in that!! (anyone with red hair she thinks is me!! --- gotta make sure she only sees the pretty ones!)

before I catch up....we went out for seafood. A few minutes wait, enough for John to get a beer, a wine and two Shirley Temple's......they came in a GLASS. As of late the girls even request water in a glass.....the waitress came over and poured both into a plastic cup....neither of my girls said anything but their faces were so sad.....like their big girl status was taken away!

ok that is great. I have to remember to tell Molly to use that in her future life :lmao:

My kids watch much older movies too, I'd like to join the Bad Mama Club, or perhaps that is just a badge to earn in the Bad Girls Club???:lmao: :rolleyes1

that's sad :sad1:

If they are ok with a glass glass then let them use it. I figure if they earn the right then they have it for life..Molly uses plastic....
