I, we, don't know the first thing about parenting. At all. Have we done everything wrong? John and I think so.
We have a sassy kid, who is 5 but thinks she is Amber (my sis 23).
We have a wanna be....to that sassy kid.

my Geeks, I hope, will understand, how do I give my girls "everything" that I never had and still make them appreciate it?

Oh, you're not alone. We go through pretty much the same thing, except add a couple years to the girl's age. I feel guilty because I go to work. Horrible guilt. But the main thing is as long as all of you are happy. We have happy girls (spoiled) but the get along really well. Just have fun - life is too short!

Went to the HM movie yesterday afternoon. The 3D affects were actually pretty good. The bad part was the nearest theatre the movie was showing as at AMC Westgate. The drive is only 7 minutes, but Westgate is where the Super Bowl is being played!! It was crazy!!!

Has everyone finished their taxes yet?

I just completed and filed ours. Yea - done for another year

All this talk of taxes is making me very anxious. Since starting my practice and being on contract, they don't take taxes out of my pay. We wait until the very end to pay. The last two years have been VERY painful. We know we have to pay, but the amount is always surprising. This year became smart and started paying quarterly, but I am still afraid, very afraid.

oh my - last night they had a blurb on Chris Berman (love him) and it was a video clip of him being a HUGE DIVA on set.....really surprising to me. He has always seemed soooo darn cool and laid back, he hasn't doen ESPN weekend for the passed two years, but he was great in person.

V, you are way to hard on yourself. You and Johnny are doing a great job with those little girls!!

I am getting a little better at this. Nan you should try it on yours.

VA Tech won by 325 pins (boys)for 16 Baker games. Girls won by 611!

Now there is some type of play off starting for the top two girls teams and top two boys teams. It is best two of three. All the teams have long drives home.

This qualifies Tech for sectionals regionals nationals.

I am really not sure what all that means

V- we struggle with the same thing all the time. Especially with some of the skating stuff. She has no concept of how much this costs, she just loves it, but some of those girls put Diva's to shame and we don't want to create one of those.

Oh...yes....we have 2 dance companies, 1 drill team, 1 performing group, 1 voice lesson each week and then there are competitions.....costs for group numbers and Jamie's solo. Oh yeah....then there was the choreography fee for the solo and another costume that had to be made. Oh....and trips to perform at Disneyland, Japan and everywhere in between.

I think that is why I work (well, besides for my Disney addiction!)

In fact, that is why I was gone all day on Friday. Jamie's high school drill team came in first in region competition back in the middle of January and they were headed to state. So spent all day Friday at the college for the state competition. Jamie's school was thrilled to have taken first overall at region because their high school has only had the drill team back in place for three years. Anyway, about 25 high schools at state competition. We didn't think they had placed because they had a spot in the military piece that a girl was off on timing on the end. But, they ended up THIRD IN STATE! We were all thrilled! Here is a picture of Jamie:

Oh, and while I am bragging (sorry).....did I ever mention that she worked on this little tiny film here in Salt Lake City that was released on the Disney Channel? Oh......well, she hates when I mention it, because she is a teenager, but here are a few shots from that project (in case anyone happens to recognize it!) (and filming starts here mid April for the third installment which will be released to the big screen. Don't know with Jamie's schedule whether she will be auditioning for it or not)

Well, I'm an unproud member of the Scrapathy club! I have 7 rubbermaids full of scrapbooking stuff that we have saved from everywhere and everything! it is the winter project here... since all the stores have bathing suits and barbcue gear out now, I'm thinking maybe it will be the Summer project?

Only 7? I have a whole craft room downstairs completely full with scrapbook stuff. Have one of those 20 cubicle shelves from IKEA from floor to just about ceiling, all full. When I get a chance, I'll have to take a picture.....

OK, I have a confession to make, and I have to tell you guys as I try to catch up on 20 or so pages . . .

As we were on our way up to the Basketball game, I told Amy, I hope that we do not get into an accident. She asked me "Why, are you not wearing clean underwear"? (is that the first thing you all would have thought to say to your husbands too?)

I told her no honey, I was however in a real hurry when I took my shower this morning, and grabbed my clothes. I didn't notice this until I was changing my shirt to go to the game . . .

I AM WEARING THE BOXERS THAT SOPHIA BEDAZZLED ALONG THE HEM!

Plain white with multiple rhinestone colors all around.

No way was I going to go into a stall and drop those babies down to my ankles tonight!

Cavaliers won, and beat the Clippers - Sophia got to be a courtside kid and go down on the court before the game, and my bedazzled boxers stayed in my Levis!

Oh my!! You have me crying here this morning, John1. If you don't get the Dad of the Year Award there is just something wrong!!
