DDA Chapter 3

Tell Dana when HE is the one taking care of his sick mother THEN he can pick the ADRs. Until then he has to hush! ;)

:rotfl: Anne Marie, I'm glad the sickness seems to be gone from your house! I hope it stays that way!

the walk was good. they raised $181,000+. they were still counting the money. they also had a walk in the woodlands so that one gets added also.

Wow, that's great!

Hi guys,

I'm going to ask for lots of prayers and PD, and anything else you can throw this way.

I think I told you about my SIL, he has a deformity in his kidney that has caused a blockage, and consequently caused damage. He had a stint put in right after Thanksgiving, and had a renal scan done after six weeks. After viewing the results his doctor told him that he could repair the kidney and the surgery was set up for February 19th.

Through some very poor decisions on their part, my SIL has no insurance, and after paying what they can they are now totally broke. SIL's mother got it into her head that this surgery was too dangerous and they had to find someone who could do it laproscopically, well she found a doctor at Tulane University that could do it. After seeing him he told them that he would do what he could on the finance end, and the surgery was scheduled for the
13th. Well Tulane called yesterday and told them that they would have to have the fee $27,000.00 the day he entered the hospital, they don't have it, and have no idea how they could possibly get it. The mom, who insisted that he do this, made the comment, I knew that was going to happen, DON'T MAKE ME GO THERE!!!!!!!

So now my DD is a wreck, my SIL is having a lot of pain and doesn't have any idea what he is going to do. I told her that they needed to contact his original doctor and explain the circumstances, I just can't see him letting him continue to suffer. We can help them some, but not to the tune of $27,000.00.

Please add them to your prayer lists,

Debbie

Definitely, what a hard situation!

I will let you know. I initially thought it would not be a good deal for us, either, but then started to think more "outside the box" as to what we could have there with us. I think the idea that most sold me would be to have my own bed linens. I find I don't sleep the best at WDW, because 1) I'm grossed out at the thought of how many people have touched/slept under/done gosh knows what else :scared: on the comforters, and 2) WDW insists on not putting fitted sheets on the bottom, and thus they get ripped out, particularly with Jonathan thrashing about in a bed all night! To have my own sheets and a blanket of some sort would be pure heaven to me! Plus, I plan on leaving a full set of toiletries down there, so ideally, all I would need to pack is my clothes, and not all that other stuff.

Chuck's reading over my shoulder and saying did you tell them "I'd have to buy a robe, and slippers, and pajamas and I don't have any of those things". :lmao: I was telling him some of the things that others pack that would be nice to have down there. He said so you're telling me you want to spend more than $99 per year (we go more than once a year so would need the extra delivery) so I can go out and buy a bunch of extra stuff? I guess he doesn't get the convenience yet. I'll work on him more in the future.

Well, I guess that's why it just doesn't make that much sense for us as 2 people since i wouldn't bring anything big. I'm guessing maybe in a year or two, it will seem more worthwhile. I've always thought I pack a bit like Elizabeth (although I don't own 32 of any sort of bottoms, including all of my regular and maternity stuff -- at least not that I remotely like! :rotfl: ) Still, I pack a ton and it still doesn't bother me that much. We'll see!

Good afternoon! Well, an ear infection it is. After 20 minutes on hold, I got through and was told to bring her in as soon as we could get there. The office was CRAZY and we waited for however long Aladdin takes to go from the part where he finds the Genie until 3 minutes after it was over, then it was another 15-20 in the exam room. After 5 min with the doctor we left with a diagnosis of left ear infection and a scrip for some antibotic. Well, went to pick that up an hour ago and lo and behold it was $70 for the generic. Umm, I don't have that! He was going to give her amoxicillan (aka free or $4), but we asked if there was something else due to a flavor issue. He said sure, but I had no idea it was going to increase the price that much. Now, I'm just waiting for him to phone in the amoxicillian so that we can get it started. Yikes it has been a day!

I hope Terra is feeling better soon, and that the medicine isn't too yucky! :goodvibes

Jennifer,
I could not touch my fingers around my belly.

But you were so cute! And just think how much bigger you would have been in 10 more weeks! ;) Not that you wouldn't have done it for the babies' sake, but I can't imagine how uncomfortable it would have been! But look at those beautiful babies, and beautiful 8 years olds :lovestruc It was always so amazing to me to watch the NICU babies born at 26, 27 weeks etc (or 28.5 as triplets!) make it at all. Modern medicine truly helps provide a route for some miracles! Still, I think I'll see what I can do to keep mine in a bit longer. I appreciate your support! :goodvibes

The International Gateway, please...

Ahh, yes - great idea, Elin!

Bob's birthday!

So, what does he prefer? ;)

Dana just took my MIL home..Whew... I Lysoled the whole playroom & washed all the linens (where she was sleeping) & have had the window open all day to air the room out. She said I was the best daughter in law in the whole world to have taken such good care of her. She said my other SIL would have thrown her out!

Seems like we are all back to normal as far as the sickies are concerned. Hopefully that will be it for this winter.

I was working on my Aug ADR's & thought I had a plan...Then Dana mentions that he liked HDDR & we should do that! Back to the drawing board!!!!
YAY for the brownie points!

Oh Debbie. This is so sad. I'm sure your dd is a wreck with worry. :wizard: and prayers that they can do something, and soon!!!

Denise - those are some pictures of you and the figs! Love the new hair too!!

Ahh, yes - great idea, Elin!

So, what does he prefer? ;)

I just asked him and he says you need one of each! pirate: princess:

ETA: Mr. Talkative has just named them for you too! Stefan and Sharon... who is this man in the living room tonight????

not mean... out of character, but not mean! :rotfl:

If I continue to read and no one has explained what happened I will tell the story.

Yes, after I read what it was about, I remembered the out of character post. I wouldn't have called it "evil" though. :lmao: That is what threw me.

Today. I chopped 5 inches off my hair 2 weeks ago (it was all one length and below my shoulders). I'm still not used to it.
Nice cut! And those 3 tiny babies have come a long way in 8 years!

The International Gateway, please...
If she brings you home that can I move in with you?

I'm still working on the schedule, but I think the morning of the 5th will work for us. We leave early that evening. I could do either, but am leaning most toward the Tusker House one, just since I haven't done that one yet! (I also love me some Donald Duck! :goodvibes )

Now, why in the world would she say that?????

I hope both you and Joe get to feeling better! :wizard: :wizard:
Tusker House was good. You might have to show Daisy some love too as Emma certainly won't.:rotfl: Well....she might stand next to her with her safari suit on. She wouldn't go near the "regular" Minnie in August but she did get her photo taken with Safari Minnie. She's never seen Daisy.

I guess my sister didn't like my cold voice. She can't really call me old as she's 7 1/2 years older than me. My kids don't like my voice either. It sounds like I'm mad at them no matter what I say.

Thanks for the well wishes. My drugs are wearing off so I think I should go take the nighttime stuff and go to bed.

Do we have until 250 pages?? I thought it was 3500 posts...
I thought it was 3,750.

I just counted my shorts. It was bothering me. I actually have more than 32 pairs so I wouldn't HAVE to do laundry if I didn't want to. But I like some of my shorts better than others and I definitely don't have 32 pairs that I really, really like. Hmm. Laundry or shopping? Tough call.
How can one accumulate 32 pairs of shorts!? ;)

Yes, after I read what it was about, I remembered the out of character post. I wouldn't have called it "evil" though. :lmao: That is what threw me.

well, actually it is listed on the smiley site under their "evil" link... it just never occurred to me that was a literal meaning!

Chuck is driving me crazy. He is watching Lost on his computer catching up on the epsiodes that he missed. However, what he really wants is some personal attention from me. He keeps looking over at me and blowing kisses.
