Lisa,

I told Amy I have never been so tired when not doing much. The stress really does wear on you. I also end up being the "point man" when Manuel's students and colleagues have questions, or just want to talk. It's really hard to go to sleep at night too with the phone there dreading a late-night phone call. I'm not complaining though - I feel much better being there as much as I can, and I would rather be doing this than any alternative. My routine is now a visit in the morning before work at 7:00, a visit over lunch and the evening after work. Not doing much for my exercise program.

Amy's boss actually sent her away from work today and to the hospital (it was her first full day back). I thought that was really nice, and put my mind at ease. Of course, I was at work all day.

I had a meeting all afternoon in Cleveland, drove back home and spent a few hours at the hospital. It was actually peaceful tonight though, as I sat and read my book in his room, and made small talk with the nurse about her family.

Going to try and go to bed. Good night everyone.

Oh John, I've done that ICU vigil! Yes, the stress really zaps one's energy. Your family is so lucky to have you. Take care of yourself!:flower3:

My friend just met her that night. He is one of those (like I think most of West Hollywood) that is in the business. He walked about Chateau Marmont like he owned the place! It was great. She came up to him and started chatting about his dogs. Later that evening, she came up again so he asked if she wouldn't mind coming by and saying hi to his out of town guests. It was really funny - we didn't quite know why she came over. She sat down, starting to chat about dogs and such. My sister said we were here to celebrate my 40th, and said "I understand you had your birthday last week-end" (she saw it in People on the flight). She then reported that she turned 33 - which was a little harsh after saying I was 40! But hey, she looked awesome so whatever. Then we chatted a little more and then out of the blue said "So you want to take my picture?" Luckily, I had my camera! After taking the two shots, the staff came over from the hotel and said no photos. I wanted to yell - she told me too! I was a little embarrassed.

The week-end was great.

It sounds really cool.

how do I save them to print????

right click on your mouse... click on save pictures, save it to your computer and then you can print it out from there or you can insert it into Word and play around with it or add something...

On that note of the transpacific...I checked my miles today...it's 70k for a RT to tokoyo. I only have enough for one...I should call and see if I can do one way.
Oh and if they go to alaska...do you think they'll leave out of LA or SF or Seattle...anyone willing to take a guess. I hope SF, cause I am lazy and w/o airfare I can afford to upgrade, but who knows...

Yeah... but Nan said I could come and stay on her couch!!!

Anyone think Vancouver for a jumping off point??? Anyway... I'm there..

I think they should do a Med cruise with one of the new ships before they bring it over.. .would get alot of us to go over for it...

Just a quick update on my brother . . .

He was supposed to have a CT scan today, but they pumped him so full of fluids to keep up his BP, that he is too big for the machine. For now the surgeon has decided that wait and see is the best thing to do. Still in ICU, still on a ventilator, but his vital signs seem to continue to improve.

I spent a couple of hours in his room reading tonight.

As someone said, where there is life, there is hope.

John... hope things are getting better... just remember to take a little time for you and Amy and the kids... even if it's just a few minutes each day... :grouphug:

Do twins run in the family?;)
No, just heard you have more a chance as you get older, and given I have 4 boys...twin boys sounds just like what God might do to show his sense of humor!

The week-end was great.

I have to confess that when I first read your post about your weekend, I thought what? The Duchess of York is way older than 33.

LOSER! I'm creeping up on 40 but have the lifestyle age of about 60. I finally realized which Fergie about 5 minutes later.

Sounds like you had a really great weekend, happy late bday!

Thought I share a post of me and my sister and friend during my b-day week-end...figure this will be not seen much since we are moving to another thread soon!

NO THONG UNDERWEAR for me EITHER!!!!!!!!

Sorry people... I just don't do wedgies!!!!

Let us know if they do have some special going for when we are there. That would be a good thing.

When I called for my room they had a 5 day for the price of 3 avail for $194... I will call tomorrow and check...

Yes, you will have one waiter. Yes it is a separate room. The table usually is five on each side and two at the head and foot. Race into the room ahead of everyone in your group to get the seats looking OUT the window....hehehe

Oh man! I was just looking at expedia today. Did you have to 'bid' for it...and did you bid on that hotel specifically? (Haven't used Priceline...not sure how it works.)

$45 I CAN AFFORD....all by my onesies as Capt Jack would say!

Hey Jackie...
