This was precious and it touched my heart.

such a sweet girl you have there. If you dont mind can you tell me where to find it and how much it cost. My oldest has a half sister in PA who he only sees a couple times in the summer so I think something lilke that would be good for him to bring her

Ohhh, I know the situation with the names and name-based memorabilia. Both of our girls have unique names so neither of them can ever find their names on stuff. I was very happy to find an old Chinese street vendor in Chinatown SF who had a HUGE book of names with translations and had both of their names done in Chinese characters

That was SO COOL of Belle to do that for her little sis!!! And you did a fantastic job of catching the moment of her giving it to Tink – that was awesome and very touching

Yes, sisters may be at each other's throats a good percentage of the time, but it is nice to see those loving moments shine through

May not seem like a big deal to some of you but Belle spent half of her spending money on it and after that purchase she had nothing left. I was so proud of her for thinking of her sister over herself. It did my mommy-heart good!

Thank you! We got it in the store on the lower level of the lobby. It had all sorts of clothing in there. I think it was about $10-12. If his sister is anything like most little girls - she will love something like that!

I know several people who have done the chinese characters with the kids names. I think it is very cool and an excellent solution to the "nothing with my name" problem!

It was one of those "she really does love her" moments that I will never forget.

Chapter 27 - One Of My Favourite Moments


So when I last left you we had just finished our mission to Mars and had made HG try on the silly hat.

Now it was time to head to the monorail and start making our way to dinner....

Where were we going?

Well, does this picture give you a hint?




Yep, that’s right - we are at the Poly! Ohana’s it is!

But this post isn’t about that. The next one will be but not yet....

We were going to go for a walk around to enjoy the grounds but as soon as we got there the skies opened up and the rain came pouring down. Figures.

Oh well.

Headed inside and wandered around and looked in the shops to pass the time until our ADR.

One thing that you should know about Tink is that she has an unusual name. Well, not really but she has a name that you never find on any of the personalized pens, pencils, necklaces.....that kind of stuff.
Belle has a name that you can find everywhere.

It can be an issue between them.

Anyways.....while we were looking in one of the stores in the Poly we found a necklace with Tink’s name on it!

And even better - it had Tinkerbelle on it!

I was going to get it for her but Belle was in a loving mood towards her sister and came up to me and whispered in my ear that she wanted to buy it for Tink with her own money.

I took her aside and asked her if she was sure because it would use up the rest of her spending money.....

Yes, she was sure.....

So, HG took Tink out of the store and Belle got it for her.

Packaged it up and hid it away for now. Belle wanted to wait for the perfect moment to give her sister her gift....

Headed back up stairs and checked in at Ohana’s. We were told to have a seat and so we did....

Belle couldn’t wait any longer and wanted to give Tink her gift.

I agree that Disney brings out the best in people! What a very sweet thing that Belle did!!! Will you be giving clues as to when you are going closer to the day?? Do the kids know? We are going August 29-September 7 this year. Staying at Pop again and planning on attending the glow party this time around

Oh Sarah, I too am all teary eyed just thinking about the kind of values you are teaching your girls! It just makes my heart all warm and fuzzy. There aren't a lot of Mom's like you who teach their girls those special values and morals like the ones you have!!!

Those pictures are wonderful! My sister and I have always gotten along but I have heard of some people who have a terrible relationship with their siblings. Glad your girls aren't like that!
