We Be Trippin': The Great DIS-nee Road Trip

Disneyfalcon:

Wow!:thumbsup2

Wow!:woohoo:

Wow!:yay:

Everything is so beautiful...I just HAVE to go to Colorado!

And that Beau Joe's crust - it looks really soft and yummy - just perfect for honey! But the pizza part looks really nice, too!

Thanks for the wonderful tour!

Ya'll are very welcome!! I'm glad I could give you some idea of how beautiful Colorado is!!

Tomorrow I'll be done and we can head west again!

Good morning!! Let’s visit a few more places!

First let’s catch the train in Durango for some beautiful views:

We’re not too far from the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde National Park:

We can also hit the Great Sand Dunes National Park on our way out:

Finally let’s stop at the Royal Gorge, the world’s largest suspension bridge over water. We could do a little white water rafting, or in special circumstances they’ll allow us to bungee jump!! Cat are you with me?:cool1: :

Well that’s at least a taste of beautiful Colorado. I have enjoyed having you all and I hope you all come back when you can stay longer!!!

I feel like I've been breathing beautiful mountain air on a fantastic vacation - thanks Disneyfalcon!! I think I even got a little sunburned!

I am in the middle of an intense house project and am trying to keep my trip report current. Is there anyone I can pass the travel baton to for the time being? I am looking forward to hosting you all here in Seattle, but my plate is really full right now.

DisneyFalcon -- not sure if I said it but thanks so much for the wonderful scenery!! It was an awesome tour with beautiful mountain views (and sand, too!)

Can't wait to see who's next...popcorn::

Thanks Marshay! Love your countdown by the way!:)

Thanks! It's fun to read. I've definitely felt her kick a few times already! Need to go out and buy some maternity clothes soon ... this pregnancy is kind of opposite my DD3 so I have lots of short-sleeved shirts but only 2 long-sleeved shirts and no sweaters...and all my colors are bright pink and green -- great spring colors!

Did the bus run out of gas? Are we going to head back up to Seattle now or down to So. California??

Maybe it's time we get a new ride....

OH, that's a great new vehicle to have!!! In fact, it's so cool that I'm going to offer up my spot to someone else!!:rotfl:

Seattle reporting in. My life is so crammed full right now that it would be great if we could go to another stop now. I'm looking forward to hosting everyone, but would do much better to have it be a little later in time.
Is the U.K. still on our tour plan? We could fly over the Pole and then back if our vehicle is anything like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!

If we don't get a volunteer, I could bring us through Austin this weekend. I am so slow on my two trip reports, I don't think I could get to this before Saturday, but I am willing to volunteer. Let me know!

Oh, but Marshay didn't you notice- we have a handicap parking pass, so you won't have to walk far when we stop at all the tourist sites! And with winter approaching it appears we have a travel chimney as well. Plus I thought with the economy we should cut back and save some money :lmao:

DSNY4ever - The pictures of Desolation Wilderness, Eagle Lake, Velma Lakes, Taylor Creek, & Calawee Cove were totally amazing! Most people don't realize that there's more to California then the big cities and Hollywood actors. Thanks for the beautiful tour thru California. :thumbsup2

Disneyfalcon - The tour thru Colorado was amazing, especially Pike's Peak! The Broadmoor was definitely "High-Class."

The tour of the Air Force Academy was outstanding as well. This picture of the airplane over the academy was breathtaking.

This picture was absolutely hillarious!!!:lmao: :lmao:

I can understand why this is called the Garden of the Gods.

The visits to Denver, Idaho Springs, Rocky Mountain National Park, Aspen, Vail, Ouray, Telluride, Mesa Verde National Park,
Great Sand Dunes National Park were amazing as well! We have the Smokey Mountains in our backyard, but I don't think
they can compare to the Rockies.

Thanks for taking us on such a great trip!

Thanks MadBrad! I'm glad everyone else gets as much of a kick of the "chest bump" picture as I do.

The Rockies are incredible. I encourage everyone to go see them at least once in their lifetime.

I'd say you would probably be safe to go ahead and take us thru Austin.

Accoriding to our VIRTUAL ROAD-TRIP ITINERARY, these are the people/places we have left to visit:
  • circusgirl (Seattle, WA)
  • wotruba-disney/Mr. Autotopia (Bremerton, WA)
  • CalDisneyFamily (California)
  • Disneyland (Anaheim, CA)
  • Miss Stitch (Leeds, England)
  • disneyhockeymad (Kent, England)
  • Disneyland Resort Paris

For those of you that might have been skipped, were busy when it was your turn, or that might just be lurking, feel free to take us on our next journey.

You know, those are all just even more valid reasons why I'll so graciously volunteer my seat! :rotfl2:

Thanks Susan!! I'd love to visit Austin...I forget...are you going to cover Hippie Hollow?? I went to them by accident one time:rotfl: ...needless to say, the people at the ticket booth told me what it was and let me turn around.

I remember going to a restaurant set on the side of Lake Travis ...maybe the Oasis?? Is that still around?
