You Know You Dis Too Much When......

MY DD now asks me before she eats, "is it okay to eat now, Dad, or do you need to take a picture first?"

My kids just told my mom over the holidays when we were in Vegas visiting, that I take pictures of food. My mom saw me on the DIS and laughed when I was looking at food pictures. I said - that is why I have to take pictures of food. I still don't think she got it - I think she thought I was nuts.

My kids and DH also make fun of me saying - do you have a board for that - go check your "insert something here" board. This stems from the time I was talking about checking the Sea World boards - they said - you have a board for that too????

I posted this once before, shopping with my sis, dealing with a rude shoe salesman and saying to her, "He wasn't the most helpful castmember!"

DH is convinced I have an illness. He just reminded me to post that the other day I took the laptop into the potty with me! So, what's so weird about that? :rotfl2:

"Hi, Mrs. Beans! Creepyhobbying?"
:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Here's my latest...
Over Christmas, your mom and dad mention in passing, and completely out of the blue, that he wants to take your sister and nephew to WDW sometime this year (would be nephew's first trip) and would like some help planning. You immediately (like within 30 seconds) whip out a copy of the 2009 Birnbaum's and start making him lists of all the info. you've learned on the Dis (not to mention the park maps you brought home with you) ... all while he looks at you like you just sprouted 3 heads... or mouse ears! :dance3:[/QUOTE]

It is amazing how we can all relate. I literally just spent the last two hours and change on a gigantic email to a friend with all the tips and suggestions I could muster for their upcoming first trip!!! And I loved every second of it. With my first email to her yesterday she said she blown away with my knowledge:rolleyes1 and did not want to bother me. I was like "what bother, this is fun for me!!".

Long live the DIS!

The hidden Mickey puppies name is actually Kenai from Brother Bear. Our other male puppy is named Koda (named by my DS9). We got Koda and our female (who my DS4 named Jasmine after his favorite princess:love: ) at the same time. We got Kenai a month later and my middle DS7 suggested we name him Kenai so we went along with it. I kinda wanted Mickey but I was overruled by the family. But their names went so well together I finally agreed.

... sick thing is that I noticed that Mickey head on that puppy IMMEDIATELY!!! :thumbsup2 I would have snagged him up, too!!! NO QUESTION!!

Oh yeah ... when I leave work I tell everyone to HAVE A MAGICAL DAY! ... and they don't think anything of it any more!!

Okay, pretty much full blown addiction here. I'll admit it. Too many hours spent here, too little getting done around the house.

I'm sure there's a treatment, but I'm not looking for it anytime soon! :lmao:

The DIS isn't my home page, but I ALWAYS have a browser window open with the DIS on it, ALWAYS. If I am forced to do something on my computer OTHER than browsing the DIS (and I try not to let that happen too often) I keep the DIS open on the right monitor, and do what ever else it is on the left monitor. On the really rare occasions that I need to use both monitors to work on something, I just minimize the browser window with the DIS on it.

Any time I see anything "alien green" I wonder if the owner is on the DIS. I wonder the same thing anytime I see a car with a WDW antenna topper, or sticker on it.

DD14 will spot ANYTHING WDW related from like 1/4 mile away, and DD20 is trained to spot alien green from a similar distance. Unfortunately, I don't think DW gets it, but I share my sickness with my DD's, and my mother sympathizes with me :rotfl:

Come back to me when your husband starts calling it your "creepy new hobby" and it gets shortened to creepyhobby and your teenage son's friend walks through and calls out, "Hi, Mrs. Beans! Creepyhobbying?"

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

this makes me laugh out loud every time I read it!!!
this thread is awesome!!

lol, yes. I've been sending out emails to my friends about our upcoming trip. They now refer to me as their "travel agent"

I also notice the license plate/acronyms. I saw CBR yesterday.

and DH refers to the dis as my boyfriend.

When you are pushing small innocent children out of the way to pin trade with the cast member who has that ONE Belle pin you cant find...

....oh wait ...is that just me???? :confused3 :rotfl:

I have one more symptom that I would like to add: when your friends want you to plan their WDW vacations, you can give them "quotes" out of thin air.

I know that I am here way too much when I was at Chemo Therapy and my nurse noticed my UG and Passporter and asked when I planned on going. I told her as soon as she said I was done with this! Then she asked me about the trip and said that she wanted to take her family but thought it was too expensive. I perceeded to tell her all about the ASMu Family Suites and about the parkhopper passes and dining plan. She was amazed and went to make arrangements with her DH. My DH, who had been listening to all this, said that Disney should be paying me for all the customers that I send them!!!!

I so totally can relate to this thread..I too have a problem and probably should go to a DIS support group. My DH totally thinks I need one..but, thankfully, as he puts it, I've finally brought him over to the "dark side"! :rotfl2: He loves WDW as much as I do now and was thankful for all the tips I've learned and still am learning because of the DIS board. We used alot of them on our trip this past October.

However, my sister in law's husband is a bigger Disney geek than I am and whenever we are together, the conversation always ends up being about Disney. My DH and his sister just sit there and roll their eyes..:lmao:

Those are great names! And Disney related, too. :thumbsup2

Ooh, and food porn! I'm guilty of viewing, taking, and talking about food porn. When my mom asked me what I was looking at on the computer & first heard me refer to it as that, she almost freaked out. "WHAT?!!??":rotfl: :lmao:

Freakin hilarious!!!!:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:
When all you can think about is WDW.
And the acronyms too!
SOOOO true!!!

LOL!! I can so relate to many of these posts!! I work at an elementary school and I help monitor breakfast. This morning, I realized that I was out of late passes right before I let the kids inside, so I ran to my office to grab some. As I was headed back through the work area, someone jammed the copy machine. I told her I was really sorry I couldn't help at the moment but I had to get these Fast Passes back and open up breakfast for the kids. I was halfway back to the cafeteria before I even realized what I had said. I'm sure she was like, Whaaaat?? :confused3

Adore hidden Mickey dog - what cuties!!!! :lovestruc :lovestruc
OMG!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Our previous car had WDR as it's last three digits on the number plate. We told our friends that it stood for Walt Disney Railroad and most of them believed us! :rotfl2: My DH told everyone that I bought the plate specifically - I didn't that's just the way it arrived from the manufacturer.

Count me in. Reading through everyone's responses only affirms that I have a problem since I relate to most. Wait isn't it only a problem if its a bad thing ? There is nothing bad about WDW!

I know I have a problem when we go to Disney and everyone gets there food and wants to eat it, then they say "oh man we have to wait for mommy to take a picture of it first for her Disboard"..

When there I take pictures and say that will post nice.....

I work at home depot and everytime I walk by the lime green Mickey Heads I think of the board, I tried to explain it to one of the paint associates and they looked at me like I had issues :rotfl:

You know you're obsessed with the the Dis/WDW when.....

You listen to MouseWorld Radio all day at work just to feel like you're in the parks.

You choose to write your college thesis on Main St. USA (guilty.... 'research' trip coming up in just 11 days!!!!)

Most of your t-shirts are custom DISigns.

You start to have dreams where you randomly meet Dis'ers (Cammie, this is you... I dreamt that I met you and your daughters at a mall food court!popcorn:: )

Everytime we visit our daughters we pull out our old Fast Pass. They live off of Soarin'
