***Summer Disney Pin Sent/Received***.....COMPLETED!!

...I'm confused - :confused3 isn't THAT 'Food Rocks'??

Food Rocks was an attraction at Epcot's The Land pavilion presented by Nestlé in the Walt Disney World Resort. It was a musical stage show, with audio-animatronic figures.

It replaced the older Kitchen Kabaret presented by Kraft when Nestle took over sponsorship in March 26, 1994 and was replaced by Soarin', an Epcot version of the Disney's California Adventure Park attraction in 2005.

The show was themed as a benefit concert for good nutrition hosted by Fud Wrapper. However, the show was continually interrupted by the Excess, a junk food heavy metal band that detests nutrition. In the end, Excess lost their power as Fud Wrapper exclaimed. "No power, you guys have been unplugged. There's plenty of foods out there that are good to eat, but remember, always eat with moderation".

The Audio-Animatronic characters were food items with human features. The music was based on popular songs by well-known performers, with lyrics adapted to the topic of nutrition. For example, "The Peach Boys", singing "Good Nutrition", was based on The Beach Boys' song "Good Vibrations". Five of these acts used the voices of the parodied musicians themselves: Tone Loc, Neil Sedaka, Little Richard, The Pointer Sisters, and Chubby Checker. Many of the characters returned for the finale.

Okay.......2 arrived for me today :yay: But not one from Donna :(

Okay, I'm officially disgusted with the post office!! I just cannot believe you didn't get my package yet. I mailed it using the automated postal machine. It didn't give me the option of DC either so I can't even track it. :sad2: My other recipient hasn't received hers yet either. I don't know what's up with that. Maybe Monday but it definitely should not be taking this long.

Donna

Have you used the automated before? Maybe for some reason there was a hold up with those packages since neither of the US ones you mailed has arrived :(
Hopefully Monday will be it.::yes::

I'm kind of partial to this one :teeth:

I loved that show! :woohoo:

Yes, I've used the automated one many times. I don't understand what has happened this time. :confused3 I wish I had been able to get DC on those packages. I'll probably not use the automated ones any more.

Our automated gives an option of Del Conf. However I did use it quite a bit before I noticed that feature.
One thing the automated centers will not do is international.
So far I have not had any issues with automated.
That being said occasionally I have had issues with the service, even with Del Conf.
Hopefully they will eventually turn up. They usually do. But I know how frustrating the wait is (for the sender). :headache:

When I've used a flat rate box in the past it has asked if I want delivery confirmation but with this small package (and I didn't think about this until later) it didn't ask me if I wanted DC. At least I didn't notice that as one of the questions/choices. Hopefully the new week will see two packages delivered to the recipients. :goodvibes

Maybe that is the case. I recall when first using it specifically looking for Del Conf and did not see it.
I can't recall if I used Del Conf w/o a Priority box.
I really don't use DC anything like I use to. Really just for my own curiosity and comfort.
Dc only "proves" (and I use the term lightly) the parcel was delivered. It doesn't prove by or to whom.
It had saved some grief on a few pin trades when the recipient claimed not to have rec'd a packet from me until I gave the delivery date and time. Then they miraculously found the packet. :rolleyes1
However say if you sent to me using DC, and I said I did not receive it, I would have to speak to my postmaster. Who in term would basically shrug their shoulders. (From my experience.)
If the package is not insured, or sent registered, there really is not much that can be done.
So with that I think DC is pretty much a waste of $. Although it did help a few times. But considering all the mailings I have done, and paid for DC, a few times really was not worth the $.

I DID receive an exchange today from Donna, DJT!!!!

I received adorable Peter Pan with a Hidden Mickey as well as one of the Squaws from Peter Pan with a Hidden Mickey.
They came on Dis green paint chips I also received a very cute Mickey bandana!!!!
Thank you Donna!
