:earseek: Our last two nights 6/12 & 6/13 we are trying the Yacht Club due to its proximity to Epcot. We've booked a standard room. Any hints on which rooms to request and why? Thanks!!

DH and I stayed at the YC for the first time last November. It's now our favorite resort! We booked a standard room at a great rate and requested a king room on a higher floor with a garden view on the lake side of the resort (we got the suggestions for requests from the Y&BC thread). We were given room #4148, which met all of our requests and more! The wedding gazebo and beautiful gardens were right below our balcony, and from the balcony, we even had a view across the lagoon to the BWI. It was really great and such a treat. Another bonus was the room's close proximity to the elevator - just around the corner.

Hope you enjoy your stay at the YC as much as we did :D!!

We have 4 in our party. Myself, DW, DD#1(12 going on twenty) and DD#2 ( 6 going on 16). Whats in a king room and could it work for us? The location sounds perfect for us!

King rooms are just what they say they are - one king size bed. Unless you all want to sleep in the same bed (doubtful) you'll have to go for 2 queens.

Enjoy!!

mom of 5,
When did you make your request? when you made your res. or at check in?We asked for a view of the epcot fireworks. I read somewhere that there are one or two standard rooms that you can see them from your bal. Thought that would be nice.

We were at BC in Jan, and our King room had a daybed. I don't know if it's the same at YC, but if not, you might want to switch to BC and request a room w/ a daybed.

It was a newly redone room, so maybe the daybeds are new additions. :)

No, I guess with four in your family, a king room wouldn't work for ya'll :( , but I'm sure there must be some queen rooms in that same area of the hotel. Hope you get a great room!!

Dalpal,

We made our room request when we made our reservation, which was about 4 our 4 1/2 months before our trip. We didn't fax - we just noted the requests on our reservation and hoped for the best. Good luck to you :D !
