I was super thrilled that I was able to see the video finally! I do enjoy being able to jump into a car at the airport and getting to the resort in 20 mins..it's a toss up!

Hi Dis!!!

Sorry for the delay, work has been pretty crazy the past week!

I hope all is with you you!

I got my Praxis scores back this past week (a week early) and failed by 4 points. I knew if I failed, I'd be devastated and of course it was after a 3 hour staff meeting which already had a sour taste in my mouth and then I got the test bad news and I literally got a shower and cried myself to sleep at 9pm last Tues.
I'm going to retake the test again in June and go from there. I guess I jinxed myself when I said it wouldn't be bad to be in Pre-K for another year and save money and see what happens next year.


Now happy news!!! I MIGHT BE GOING BACK TO WDW IN MAY!!! Don't hate My Dbro applied for the WDW CP last Tues and hopefully he finds out this week. Pretty much though, I'm going to go!! I'm looking at the 3rd weekend in May. If Dbro gets accepted he is hoping for the 5/19 move in date which means I'd drive down with him, work, and fly back on 5/19 after he checks in. If not, I'll go for a short weekend and go back in Aug to finish my 40 hours.

DAY 2:

MARCH 18, 2010


When we left off, Dbro and I were sleeping soundly in our beds at All Star Sports..or were we?? He was, I was not. I don't know what it is with me and the first night of sleep. You'd think I'd be exhausted. I was up at 5:50am, worked a full day, drove an hour to the airport and had 4+ hours of travel plus a bus to WDW and made it to bed by 2am. You'd think..
I did my usual first night sleep..toss and turn and toss and turn.
I messed with the pillows for a bit and they seemed to be too lumpy then too soft. That all seemed to be mixed with a lovely migraine that I acquired from MCO. I couldn't take my migraine medicine because I had no food to take with it so I suffered...and fought with more pillows.

Finally, at 4am'ish, I got and forgot I had motrin in my bag and was able to take that without food. I also decided to steal a pillow from Dbro's bed since it seemed "fuller". After those 2 things, I was out in 5 mins..thank goodness!


At 6:30am the alarm went off. I was so sad I forgot to call for Stitch to wake us up..oh well!
I got ready and then Dbro got ready and as we did Stacy was on the TV of course. Just for the record we HATE HER NEW SHOW!!!!!!! Thank goodness for You Tube right?!

After a 1/2 hr of getting ready we hauled our bags back to the lobby to get a cab to POP.

It was still dark out!
(sorry for the blurry pics, we were walking and I didn't want to stop since there was a huge group of baseball players behind us!)

As we were rolling our bags to the lobby, I noticed once again that my bag seemed hard to pull and was heavy but we forged on and made it to the lobby. I stood in a zero line to show them my ID..after the horrors of the night before. I was called over right away as Dbro went to get a cab, and told the CM (very nice lady!) that I was showing my ID. She pulled up the room info and said they had it on file via the fax I sent for when Dbro checked in. I did not need to show it
You've got to be kidding me is all I said. She apologized and asked if I wanted to report the CM from the night before and I said no, that's okay if they could pass along the info to the MOD (manager on duty). We said our goodbyes and the taxi was outside waiting for me!

After a quick trip to POP we finally made it and $10.45 later. I computed it online and it was $8 something so I"m not sure why it was more? I thought it was based on miles but Dbro said it's wait time at the traffic lights too?! We tipped our driver $6 and we were on our way!

We didn't walk 5 feet and a CM was already walking towards us to store our bags. We stored our bags outside and ventured in to check-in.

We waited one person and it was our turn

The very sleepy CP CM checked us in and she too did not need to see my ID and I had not faxed that one in. She informed us that the room was not ready but told us (without asking) that we were in building 6 floor 6


DO YOU KNOW WHAT BUILDING 6 MEANS??!!!


WE GOT A REFURBISHED ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I gave my cell phone number for the room ready text, thanked the CM , and made small talk about her CP and we were headed to Everything POP (EP) for breakfast!!

EP was not too busy for it being nearly 8am. Dbro and I both settled on the breakfast croissant-bacon for me and sausage for him. We also got a fruit bowl and headed to check out and bought 2 mickey straws!!!

Sorry no food pics for this, we were in a hurry!!

After our breakfast and looking through the folder (and thankful I had a drawstring backpack to carry it in!) we headed outside for our first bus adventure and headed to AK!!!!!!!

HI Dis!!!

I hope everyone had a great week!! Things have been crazy at school. One of our teachers left for another job and another is leaving next weeks so this past week, I have been working a ton of AM OT for the teacher that left which left me dead tired by the end of the day! Finally I'm able to update!!

3/18/10

AK

When I left off, Dbro and I were enjoying breakfast after checking into POP and then heading for AK.

When we got done we headed outside for the bus. I warned Dbro that the buses can tend to line up and it might take some time but I guess the bus fairy was with us and we had great bus luck the whole time we were at WDW!!

Not 10 mins had gone by and the AK bus came.

We got on and were at the gates by 8:45, perfect since that is when they let you in the gate!

Here is where the nerves set in. They don't scan your CM ID at the resorts, they simply just verify the year on it and apply the discount so this was the test, would my ID work...



IT DID!!!!

I gave Dbro his paper copy of his ticket which was scanned and he was given a paper ticket from the machine so we were good to go! I was looking forward to hopefully seeing some of my Core Team Managers from my PI at AK for the Bug Parade right as the park opens but we got through the gate and were greeted by:

I was super confused after that. Never in the 7 months that I worked at AK have they canceled the Bug Parade and had the Rope Drop right when you walk in. I'm not sure if it was just a special thing that day or if it's an every day thing now. Needless to say, there were no bug boxes and no Education Presenters.

We stood and watched the show and were beside a family standing with their stroller (over by stroller rentals). A man and his "double wide" were trying to get behind us and bumped the grandma standing there watching the show and she turned around and had MANY not Disney Like words and then she attempted to kick the man with the double wide and the Gma's son had to hold her back and told her to calm down. After that Dbro and I decided to stay out of her way lol.

And that was the start of our vacation at The Happiest Place on Earth!

When the show ended, we made our way towards the TOL and made a right heading towards EE.

We typically get a FP and then ride the ride twice or three times and use the FP later but we wanted to get to Epcot ASAP so we just decided to wait in the line. It was still before 9am so the line began to grew as it normally does.

9am goes by and we wait and wait and wait. No announcement or anything.

9:15 goes by and we wait and wait.

9:20 and finally there is movement but not us. A huge group of military personnel were getting to ride the ride first. Everyone stood and cheered for them!

9:30 goes by and the ride is moving with empty cars. 9:30 and finally the military group is onthe ride. By 9:40 we finally get on the ride! We decided to not even try and ride it again and made our way over to Dinoland.

We rode Dinosaur once with a 20 min wait and debated about riding KS and decided to head to Epcot instead!

I have some GREAT NEWS!!!!

I'M GOING BACK TO WDW IN 24 DAYS!!!!!

I'm debating about doing a TR or not?? This trip will be for work and not very much play. Long story short, Dbro has had his CP interview and is still waiting to hear if he's in or not and 5/19 is the first move-in day which is what he is hoping for and since I have to work a day before 5/20 (so I don't have to be retrained), I've kind of planned a trip and took the days off!!

Oh heck, I'll probably start a TR, why not right?!

Now for the TR!


3/18/10

Epcot and FPs!!


After we were done at AK, we hopped a bus to Epcot. We assumed that POP would be texting us soon about the room being ready but headed over anyways. We got there just after 11:30 and by that point it was after 11:30 and we had only rode 2 rides

As soon as we got there we headed over to see what Soarin' FP we might be able to get...We were in luck! They still had FPs left!!

We went in and got in the FP line to get the tickets. Our time was for around 4-5pm. We were able to get another FP after 1pm. After that we jumped in the line for Livin' With the Land and stood in 20 mins of the line and got on the ride

After the ride we walked outside and stood there and thought hm what now. Nemo-no, Figment-not right now, TT/MS-too long of lines. Oh well, we were getting hungry so we headed to WS to chow!!

On the way we decided to get some pics of the Flower and Garden Festival.

UK!!! FISH AND CHIPS!!!!!

This was our first "$25.99 a day DDP" meal!! Let's just say that it pays for it's self in the end! I stood in the HUGE line for the food while Dbro stood with me and began to look for seats as I got closer. He came back with no seats but he said he knew a 'HIDDEN SPOT!'

I got up and ordered:
2 Fish and Chips
1 Sweet Tea
1 Hot Tea (was still chilly in the day low 60s)
2 Shortbread cookies

=$25.82

I am my father's daughter because I want to know how much I saved a day with the DDP. I really tried to keep track of the totals to see how much we saved each day. I think I just didn't care after awhile and stopped doing it as it was very easy to eat $25.99 with just one sit-down meal.

Dbro's "SECRET SPOT"...behind the gift shops where the Beetles band plays. We were able to spread out on a bench and be bird free

The inexcusable part was the attempt at kicking the guy!!!! Geez...I can see saying excuse me you bumped into me...but physical interaction is not necessary!

He got Fall 2010 Attractions!!

He called because he wanted FA and to move in May or June but they are full so he is moving in Aug 9th

Now the waiting game will be what attractions he will get. I hope he gets a good one..even if it's not Jungle Cruise or Haunted Mansion which are the 2 he said in his interview!

I will be driving him down in Aug. I'm going to take 4 days off work and work 2 or 3 days before he moves in. We'll see how it all plays out! I guess he didn't know our PA house was pending the final inspection..mom was waiting to tell him after he heard back from disney, why..I don't know???!!!
So now he's mad bc I knew and didn't tell him and Dm is mad bc I told him and Dad is whatever and is glad we can get out of the 1br apt that we share haha.

Anyways with the drama at home and crazy kid days at work this week, I'm ready for WDW in 22 days!!!
