Black friday buddies 2010 unite! BACK FROM THE TRENCHES POST YOUR WAR STORIES!

Thanks for this! I just got one. Also found a code for free shipping, no minimum, contactfr. My total with tax was 37.97. Minus the $15 rebate and it will be $22.97. That is better than any of the doorbuster prices I've seen and this has better reviews than the Coby one advertised everywhere!

THANKS AGAIN!

Oh thank you so much for the free shipping, it made it good enough for me to buy.

Any idea on how to do the rebate?

On the website under customer service, there is a tab "rebates". Just click on that and a bunch of rebates come up. Make sure you get the correct one for the frame. It looks like there are several that require a purchase date before yesterday/today. That made me nervous at first, but if you keep scrolling you will find the correct one. All you need is a copy of the receipt, the upc and the rebate form.

I didn't think Michaels would be such a huge draw at 5:30 am, but it was insane!!!! Two women got into a fist fight over the last Cricut that was on sale. And these were not young girls, either...the women were in their middle to late 40's-I don't want something that bad to get in a fist fight over it.

After that, I didn't stay to browse the store...got my items and got out. I got the rolling carts that were on sale for 20 dollars(regularly 50 dollars) and bought three(2 for me and 1 for my mom to keep her sewing stuff in). Got to the check out and cashier tried to tell me it was limit one per customer, whipped out my ad, and showed her the ad had no limits and there were no signs on the rack where they were displayed, so I got my three. But...while I was paying for my purchases, a manager was putting up a sign that it was limit one per customer, so I squeaked by with a major score on that front.

Well, my friends came through.. they snagged for me the following from best buy: (2) hp desktops w/ 23" led monitors + free wireless printers, (1) hp laptop.. going to resell certain things and keep others

My sister and I spent nearly 7 hours in line at Target to get a TV and keyboard, got both! Then my mom joined us and we went to Kohls, Bed bath and beyond, Burnham Shoes ($50 off Uggs!), and Michael's (where I got the best deal on baskets that were regularly $10-$20 and rang up for one penny), and did Best Buy online.

So there were some great deals to be had and for my family it has been another successful black friday! I hope everyone got all the deals they were looking for and had fun doing it.

I just scored the Western Digital 2 TB external hard drive at Target. they were all gone by the time I got there at 9:30. But someone had picked it up and dumped it in sporting goods where I found it abandoned on a shelf at 10:30. Target even gave me a $10 discount since I missed the 10:00 AM deadline for the free giftcard since they were all gone. So, I ended up paying $59 for a 2TB drive. Not too shabby!

Jealous!! This was the one thing we wanted that we didn't get.

Congrats and enjoy!

We got ourstuff, scored madden 11, ds games, zhu pets, color wonder set, playdoh pack, leapter, leapster games, paper jams, sleep pants, pjs, jeans, hand mixer, crockpot, dvds, comforter set, luggage set, bath and body works haul......home by 730 am

Yeah there are a few Walmarts in the same city as the Target. I didn't ask anyone though, I just went to the cashier and showed her the Target ad, and she did the price adjustment without any problems, but maybe she wasn't supposed to:confused3 I'm glad you got what you wanted though.

my price match went thru fine on tag reading books- kmart had them for 7.99 and walmart matched price good thing cause at was at opening of kmart and they were already out- walmart matched price at midnight sale and kmart did not open til 5 am :cool1:

I got most of the things online. But where I live someone had set fire to a huge mall a few months ago. So I went there @ 3 am and found out most of the store that said they were opening at 4 were already open. They took on the over load from the other mall. But all in all I finished my shopping and was home by 5:30. The lines in Kohls were awful. You had no Idea where they began and where they ended. I hope you all enjoy what you got.

I feel horrible! I got the 2tb WD drive at Target and took it home all thrilled.

Husband looks at it and says I have the wrong one. We need firewire and I got USB.

Turns out, that's all they sold.

I got some other deals at Target, but now what do I do? Return it and make someone's day?

Thanks to whomever posted the Kohl's code for 20% off. I was sitting here with the kids checking in to see what people got so I bumped over to Kohls.com and the early bird specials were still going on. I got 4 T-shirts for DH, 2 travel coffee mugs, 8 dishtowels (exciting I know but since I don't really have any "wants" this year I guess my mom is giving me what I need this year) a tablecloth and some gloves for $75 shipped. Plus I was able to tie in thru ebates so i'll be getting an extra $3 in cashback plus my 1% discover cashback - I love stacking discounts. :thumbsup2

I always forget about ebates!

I got most of my stuff from Kohls online after dinner. They didn't have the color of boots my daughter wanted, $5 barbies or picture frames.

Our TRU opened at 12 and since I wasn't getting any big items I felt safe going around 11:30. Got in the store around 12:45 - they were only letting people in 25 at a time when people left. Was out by 1:30 and at Kohls by 1:40.

Stood with some really nice people until the store opened at 3. Got my barbies, picture frames, Kitchenaid mixer and DD boots and was out by 3:15.

I sat in the parking lot and kept refreshing my phone until the leapster 2 were $25 at Walmart and was on my way home at 3:45.

I went to Macys.com and ordered the red enameled cast iron pot for 19.99 w/ $5 shipping - so worth it not having to go over.

Thanks for all the tips I've been reading over the past few weeks!!:goodvibes

Well it was a busy successful shopping trip. Got almost everything I wanted. I missed out on the Buzz at toysrus. But other than that got everything with some great bonuses.
I was able to get 2 $10 target gift cards- with dh with me. And then $50 in shopping dollars from Delia. So while successful today- I'll have some more bonus time to spend in December. Oh yeah and gymbucks too. Oh and the free Vera Bradley tote(very nice!!) And the Sephora Black reusable bag. That is also a cute one- not as nice as the vera one but still a nice freebie!

Good positive experience today- no terrible lines and checkouts went smooth. Huge Chunk of shopping out of the way!

I finally settled on Target and was miserable waiting in line in the cold for over an hour. I know it's not cold here like some other areas but I hate it!

I got the video games and blue ray I wanted so money-wise it was definitely worth it. I'm glad it's over though.

Now what about Cyber Monday....

My adult daughter stopped BF shopping with me, years ago, after a woman had a melt down in line insisting that someone had cut in front of her. That was at about 6:00 am so I can't imagine how the rest of her day went!!! But DD said 'this isn't fun any more' and I was a lone BF shopper from then on. :guilty:

The day is almost over....is everyone shopped out now?? ;)

We're down in the Bay Area and heard all about that when it happened! I wondered how it went there today. Glad it wasn't too bad!

I ended up staying home and shopping online. The high yesterday was 80-today it was 40ish. That usually doesn't happen without storms, and we had several roll through last night. I didn't want to brave it, so I got online at 2am and ordered most of what I wanted.

I know cops were called to one area Walmart after a fight broke out, and my SIL was at another Walmart and said nothing was where it was supposed to be (according to the map). When the baby is older, I may venture out again. But for the last 3 yrs now online has been a pretty good substitute!
