Cherie :banana::banana:Hey I have a new ptr going for the girls 16th birthday trip!!! I need you and DJay over there to pick on me cuz Marv , Glen and the rest of the boys need lessons :rotfl2::rotfl2:

She really could give lessons, she's a lot of fun.

Oh Cherie, there's a picture especially for you coming up in the next chapter. ;)

3 Judy's !!!!!

Correct (and late) as always Rosie. :)

Sorry Glen GREAT Update of TT !!I actually can handle that !!!!

I like Test Track too. I wouldn't mind if the whole thing was just flying around on that outside track though. That's the best!

Good morning Glen !!I am waiting for Marv and his appeal to the rules committe for the last Judy do!!!:rotfl2:I looked carefully and saw NO reflections or body parts but I am sure Marv will come up with something:rotfl2:

I'm sure his appeal is coming, he wouldn't want to let us down!

I just looked through again also, and I noticed a 2nd Glenn. Can anyone find it?

Woohoo! A new reader! :welcome: Mrs. Gumdrop!!! Wow, I love to read a post like that. :goodvibes You can post here any time!

I hope you stretched before that marathon and that there were water stations along the way. But seriously, that's a lot of reading, so thanks for taking the time.

Wow, planning your first trip. Wait, first-ever trip or first trip that long? You're obviously doing your homework, visiting the DIS, and I'm glad that you're finding some info. in here. Yes, if you like to try new foods (and soups  ) then you need to get yourself to Boma!

Hey, I see in your ticker that you'll be sailing on the Wonder. Is that your first Disney cruise? (I've never been on a Disney cruise.) A couple of my DIS-friends will be sailing on it also.

I am one of those poor blighted souls who were promised a trip to Disney World as a child that never came to fruition. In my late twenties I realized that if this dream was going to come true, I would have to make it happen for myself! So I started reading, planning and researching. My DH visited WDW twice as a kid but didn't really have the :lovestruc that I was developing, so we first dipped our collective toe in the Disney waters by sailing on DCL.

We sailed on the Magic doing the Western Caribbean in '08 and DH and I fell head over heels in love! The beautiful ship, the amazing CMs and the overall relaxing (and magical) environment won us over. :cloud9: I can't imagine we will ever sail with any other line. On that trip I first set foot on WDW property when we visited Downtown Disney and had lunch at Raglan Road.

Next we sailed again on the Magic for the April 2010 West-bound Transatlantic. We dragged my DSIL, DMIL and DFIL along this time. AND I finally made it to a WDW park! I spent one wonderful day at MK and I went prepared! I had been listening to podcasts, reading touring books and the DIS and signed up for a certain touring plans website so we took on MK like pros! :woohoo: In true commando style we tackled 12 attractions before 12:30 pm and with an ADR, enjoyed dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe (I really love WL) before making it back to MK for Wishes.

So now it is time for new adventures! I am currently planning our cruise to Alaska in August on the Wonder, and my first week-long trip to WDW for 2012 (to celebrate my college graduation). Honestly, I have been fixated on learning all there is to know about WDW for such a long time, I don't know what I would do with myself without a trip to plan! But seriously, I love learning more about the parks from veteran visitors and hearing about the experiences of WDW's guests.

Thanks again for the great TR, and sorry about the novel I just wrote!

I'm a bit more than half-way through your report but i just wanted to say how great it is that your wife is so great at Pchef that she won her family a trip! That is really cool. :thumbsup2
Great pictures, beautiful family!

Wait till Marv hears this !!!!!:lmao:I wonder what he will try to push past the Rules Committee!!!:rotfl2:

It's coming, I know it.

First, with writing like that, you need to think about writing a PTR about your upcoming trips my friend! And, in tackling 12 attractions before 12:30, we could learn a thing or two from you, that's for sure!

Isn't planning a trip the best?! Writing about a completed one ain't so bad either. ;)

We've only cruised once, on Royal Caribbean, and loved it. I'd like to try the Disney Cruise Line sometime, but wouldn't mind going on RC again. They (RC) have some cruises that depart from Baltimore on occasion, so that might be more likely than DCL for us.

I'm a bit more than half-way through your report but i just wanted to say how great it is that your wife is so great at Pchef that she won her family a trip! That is really cool. :thumbsup2
Great pictures, beautiful family!

:welcome: Queen2PrincessG!! Thanks for letting me know you're reading your way through. Feel free to post comments even on the older chapters if you like, I don't mind.

Thanks for the nice compliments. I happen to think my wife is pretty fantastic too!

Marlene matches-up pretty well with the “13-year-old girl”. Maybe that’s because she was thirteen?
I don't think any of my boys have matched up with the appropriate age figure yet..... :rolleyes1
James! What're you lookin' at?
Maybe he's still thinking about his little friends back at the Waste Management area. ;)
Oh, this reminds me of a joke (answer after the picture): "What's the last thing to go through a bug's mind when it hits the windshield?"

Answer: "its butt" :headache:
An oldie, but still a goodie!!! :thumbsup2
Whoo! That’s fast.
I ride it, but I still don't have TT too high on my list. Not sure how they could improve it though....
I’m not sure if Marlene could even see anything.

IMG_3722.jpg
Don't ever let that girl get a convertible!
The prospect of heading back to the resort caused James to start begging
1sm134plead.gif
that he wanted to stay with Judy and Lauren. He’d much rather go to Kidani’s Community Hall than the World Showcase.
Must be a guy thing. My boys are about the same....:confused3
Here, she’s doing her best Davy Crockett impression, although I don't think she's ever seen the Disney movies from the '50's.

IMG_3725.jpg
In this picture, the color of the hat and Marlene's hair are very close. At first glance it looks like one of those 70's hair-do's. DW has a picture when she was younger and her hair looks eerily similar...... well except for the raccoon head!

I just looked through again also, and I noticed a 2nd Glenn. Can anyone find it?

I'm first !!It is in the reflection I see your red shirt and sunglasses !!!:cloud9:

Yep! You win the bonus points! :cheer2:

Wait till Marv hears this !!!!!:lmao:I wonder what he will try to push past the Rules Committee!!!:rotfl2:

:cool2: Rosie- I scanned for reflective Judys but not reflective Glenns:sad2:

But in the Judy dept I am a :bride: :woohoo:

pug:
I peeked in here last night, and you were the last poster. I was like "do my eyes deceive me?"
omgblinky.gif
I haven't "seen" you for a looong while, Walking.

But a hearty :welcome: to the trip report! I hope you enjoy it. It's good to see you again!

:surfweb:Whew, I'm halfway thru.... so much has been happening here!:surfweb:
Yes, I've been away from the boards for a bit:
My Sep 09 WDW trip had a stay at YC that tore the Mickey-coloured glasses off (I hate when that happens), so I decided Sep 10 would not be WDW...
instead WalkingintheFog went over to the Dark Side: I'm morphing into RunningintheFog:tiptoe: (and sometimes I'm RunningintheFogwithaDog!:tiptoe::dog:). ( no, no change to the DisName)
So, it's a HalfMarathon and several 5ks later (and almost 40lbs less!), and the Mickey-coloured glasses are firmly in place again.:3dglasses

Loving the pics and comments so far
--Judy, if I haven't said it before, I love my PChef bar pans, gadgets, as well as the Rubs (Roasted cauliflower well seasoned with CreoleRub tonight).
--Loved the comments re DHS streetsmosphere players ie Liza Minelli's younger sister, as well as James' interaction with the dandy in the car (not to mention the interest of people looking at the 2 of them!

Dan & Candi, LOVE your brown/white matching outfit shirt/dress!(from the pics at the Hee Haw Meet (the energy that man has!))

The rest of you people, just know that thanks to most of you, I now try not to read DisBoard material without a clear piece of plastic over keyboard and laptop screen!
And, just as important, I'm learning not to eat muffins or cupcakes while reading, as it's very unladylike:snooty: to need to try to remove muffin snorted up one's nose due to laughter:rolleyes1:

Jeff informed me last night that the revenues from Davey Crockett paid for Disneyland. Now I can't find anything that actually substantiates that story but we did have fun chatting about Davey Crockett and signing the song (and kids looking at us like we were nuts).

I have an update on this question. I was just watching a show on PBS, "Pioneers of Television", and they were doing an episode on "westerns". They said that when Davy Crockett became a hit, the merchandising machine cranked-out over 3,000 different Davy Crockett items and in today's dollars earned Disney over half a billion dollars in revenue, almost overnight. They even flat-out said, "It earned Disney enough money to build Disneyland".

So, Jeff sure knows his stuff. :thumbsup2

I don't think any of my boys have matched up with the appropriate age figure yet..... :rolleyes1

Somebody's gotta be above average.

Maybe he's still thinking about his little friends back at the Waste Management area. ;)

You mean "What's your Problem", I think. Yeah, probably so.

An oldie, but still a goodie!!! :thumbsup2

Oh, you've heard it? Rats.

I ride it, but I still don't have TT too high on my list. Not sure how they could improve it though....

I like the fast outside part, but could do without the inside part. It's just what you have to sit through to get to the good part.

Don't ever let that girl get a convertible!

I'm thinking "or any motorized vehicle."

In this picture, the color of the hat and Marlene's hair are very close. At first glance it looks like one of those 70's hair-do's. DW has a picture when she was younger and her hair looks eerily similar...... well except for the raccoon head!

Okay, glad you added that last part "except for the raccoon head". I was going to say she should lighten up on the eye makeup. Those 70's do's were, ah, something!

:cool2: Rosie- I scanned for reflective Judys but not reflective Glenns:sad2:

But in the Judy dept I am a :bride: :woohoo:

Lucky for you we don't deduct for missing reflective Glenn's.

Halfway through's pretty good, I know it's a lot to read. Thanks again for reading.

Yes, I've been away from the boards for a bit:
My Sep 09 WDW trip had a stay at YC that tore the Mickey-coloured glasses off (I hate when that happens), so I decided Sep 10 would not be WDW...

Oh no. Well, a "less than magical" trip does happen from time to time. It's understandable to skip WDW for a while.

instead WalkingintheFog went over to the Dark Side: I'm morphing into RunningintheFog:tiptoe: (and sometimes I'm RunningintheFogwithaDog!:tiptoe::dog:). ( no, no change to the DisName)

That's great! Good for you...congratulations! I try to jog when the weather's better. I haven't been out since November or December :guilty: , so I'll be back to square 1 when I start back up.

I'm glad you're liking your PChef stuff. I'll pass your comments on to Judy.

We had a lot of fun with the streetmosphere people. That's one of those things you can't really "plan" for, which makes a memorable trip. pixiedust:

Dan & Candi, LOVE your brown/white matching outfit shirt/dress!(from the pics at the Hee Haw Meet (the energy that man has!))

I have to say, those were probably the nicest matching outfits I've ever seen. "Matching" can be a hard look to pull off, but they did it. And Yeehaa Bob is amazing!

The rest of you people, just know that thanks to most of you, I now try not to read DisBoard material without a clear piece of plastic over keyboard and laptop screen!

:yay: for snorted muffins! Mission accomplished! :thumbsup2

:sad2: nice effort but your judy count is wrong.;)

glenn there has been alot of talk about the reflective glenn and not seeing a reflective judy well look below everyone missed it.
Day 7 - Part 4

IMG_3719.jpg
-------------I----------

of course you can see the relctive glenn in this picture right front and center his glasses hanging from his neck bouncing of the ever so shiny service in front of him, but if you look directly above wher my said I is you will see the reflective judy

with reasoning, it is too far away from the reflective glenn to be a glenn part, and that is judys seat location in the group shot (photpass)that comes after the ride is over.

therefor all the points go to me for this round, and they are not to be raised to any power either.

I'm sure Marv would be proud of your effort, but I don't see anything that looks like Judy, just some areas of light on the plastic. Am I missing something?

While I'd have to go back and check what judy was wearing, I DO think, NO, I definitely see glasses around someone's neck. If Judy was in white with shades, then I'd have to say Dan is right. :confused3

No shades. What are you guys looking at? A reflection in the black bar?

Nope, I guess you're right. Judy wasn't wearing the shades, which I originally thought Dan was talkiing about. And I don't see any other reflection. Maybe if he puts a photoshopped arrow pointing to what he thinks he sees...???
