Dairy Farmers Wife IS going to Disney in March/April!

We are home!!! We had an amazing vacation with ups and downs.

One major down was I lost my cellphone yesterday at Epcot. I thought I had it in my pocket and couldn't find it. My mom and dad had stayed in the car for a bit before coming in...because I guess rain makes you melt....and I happened to be lucky enough to run into them as I was heading back to the car to see if it was there. They had no clue if it was or not, and we let it go. Mom handed me her cellphone so I could call her and dad on his when/if needed. At 9:30 I got back to the van to find my phone was NOT there and I called it to find it go straight to voicemail...which meant it was turned off. I started crying. I felt awful and I was tired after a long week and the tears just poured out. I made my way back to the front of Epcot to find a security guard and ask what to do. He directed me to guest services and said that since it was droid...don't expect it to be turned in. They are hot items and most who lose those and iphones never get them back. That made me feel worse of course, but he did say it in a nice way and was just trying to forwarn me.
I went to guest services and the most wonder CM went back to look and found it!!! I told him I could kiss him I was so happy. It had been found in the parking lot. Which means I pretty much lost it the minute I stepped out of the van and someone must've found it about 3 minutes later. I am so happy that guest was kind enough to turn it in!

Ok, thats the only sneak peak of the week.

We had a fabulous time. The cruise was so awesome and I can't wait to get back on another one. When they say DCL is superior...they are saying the truth. It was so much fun. If I had a choice of Disney or a DCL cruise next, I would chose the cruise!!!!

I took a zillion pictures. So it will take me awhile to get things sorted out.
I am now going to bed. I have had very little sleep this past week, and I am dead tired. I'll do responses later!

What a HUGE relief they found your phone!

We lost a small point & shoot camera in DHS once. We made a cursory check in lost & found, thoroughly NOT expecting to find it. But when we walked up they handed it to us before we could ask! They had reviewed the pictures and had been looking for us!

One thing I do now is take a picture on all of my memory cards, and protect it from erasing. It has my name and number in case I lose it.

What a great consolation prize for having to leave..... you got your phone back!

I can't wait to see more pictures!

So get your nap, catch up on some laundry.......... and we can expect a bunch of photos by what........... dinner time???

OMG, you lost your Droid?? I'd have had a heart attack! But how wonderful that they recovered it and there was at least one honest person in the parking lot who returned it. Great news!

My DD7 has the exact same Ariel PJs from the Disney Store!! She got them on Christmas Eve.
Don't worry!! It will all go well and you'll have a FABULOUS time!!

She got those for her b-day from my Aunt and Uncle. She really likes them too. We had a great time

Aw, I love the pictures of your mom and dad! I'm so glad they can go with you! The picture of your mom with the ears on is priceless!

I originally took a pic of Claire and mom and sent it out via text, and my uncle wrote back that they need ears, so we fished Claires ears out and mom put them on. Ironically that is the only time the ears got worn this trip.

Aw thanks. I have a lot of features in me from both sides of the family. Unfortunately I got my Dads moms side's lower half. The big rear and thighs.

I'm so glad you made it in safe and sound. I heard about the tornados in central FL and wondered where you were in relation to that.

Have and awesome time! I'm guessing the great part about a cruise is that you can find time to relax if you didn't sleep well heading into it. If you were heading into a Disney park, it would be entirely different.

You would've thought it would be relaxing, but there was so much going on. I was up early each day and up later each night..for the most part. And my body was so sore after the first day. I recommend practicing walking up and down stairs before a cruise. We tried the stairs a lot and going up, Claire would bounce right up, while my mom and I about passed out each time. So we did take the elevator if the climb was more than two flights going up. Going down was easy though.

Sorry for all the drama but... YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY!!!!!!! Guess it's a really good thing you flew in the day before! Always a good idea to give yourself that extra time. I am so excited for you guys!

I totally recommened always flying in a day early. As you know, I have had a dealy of some sort before every cruise I have been on now. I don't think it would be worth it to chance going down the same day anymore at this point and time.

I was Ok with the delay. Of course we were anxious, but I wasn't in panic mode or anything. We made it and it was so worth the wait.

Sorry about the rough start! I was watching the weather there on tv too.

Our vacation got off to a rough start last time too but everything went great after we woke up on our first day. I hope you have a magical trip!

I figured we would have some rain, but the storms took me a bit by surprise. The boarding day rained all day for the most part and we never even went up on the outside decks till late that evening. But we still had plenty of thingsto occupy us.

I know what you mean! We use to cruise every year, until we had the little guy. Just went once since he was born. But going on a Disney cruise was so much nicer than a resort stay. All of our cruises except one, we booked just an outside cabin on a lower level. The last cruise, we did a verandah room on the 6th floor, and I was hooked!!!! I think it would be hard to stay in a room without a verandah. It was wonderful!! The service on the boat is amazing. I am glad you had such a wonderful time! How did you mom like the cruise? How are things going with your parents on land?

no nap for Claire, though she dozed on the way over from the ship to Pop. The veranda is so nice. I never thought I would like it as much as I did. The service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

You NEED to give this a try. I know you have debated it, but I just know your family would enjoy it. Something different, but still in the Disney theme. John would have plenty of places to catch a nap too.

I can see how that could happen. I think the ship's named Dream for a reason!

That is so true. Honestly, I didn;t think I would be so hooked on it. I thought it would be ok to do other lines after...and we still may, but I know it will always be compared to Disney.

Aw....thanks. I really liked the tyedye shirts too. My mom even wore Skips shirt. She just mostly refused to have her picture taken.

Thats a good idea. I actually misplaced a card on this trip too. I really had problems a lot like that this trip. I kept misplacing or leaving stuff. I really would'vew been upset if it didn;t come back. I was crying and probably looked like a fool to the CM's, but it was just to that point where I had very little sleep and even though the trip was fantastic...my dad was a little annoying at times, and he wasn't being compassionate about it. He was worried how fast we would be getting back to the hotel...which I basically told him he could walk..

There was some drama....but not bad. The most was my dad. My mom is a Saint to live with hi,m. LOL! He is just set in his ways, and I had to remind him several times I was NOT leaving a park early. Also I swear he is going deaf, as we had to repeat stuff to him a few trimes and by the 5th time we would yell at him and he would be mad we were yelling at him.

Thanks. I bought the CD on the ship. I had a lot of pics taken and it was really worth it.

I did freak about the phone. My mom said as they were waiting in the van, they all prayed it would turn up, and told Claire to be prepared for me to come back crying and sad.

We are talking about looking into the Alaska Disney cruise and today they came out with the new ports and Hawaii is one of them! they also have one coming to Galveston (so close to home)! that would be an adventure for us in 2012 or 2013...

I had herard about the new ports of call a few weeks ago as a rumor. It will be exciting to see how they do.
The dream and Fantasy have like a 15 year contract to Port Canerval, if I remember right, so I think the Magic is the one doing all those ports. Sadly none of those ports are any closer to me....boo hoo!

I saw NYC and I got all excited but then quickly realized that Mel will be 8 months pregnant at that point and they aren't letting her on a cruise ship!

Hopefully this will happen every year and is not a 1 time experiment. I am VERY interested!
