Howdy all! :wave2:

Unfortunately, this is just a drive-by post tonight. I wanted to stop in to say hello and give an extremely brief update.

My trip went well to Atlanta, loved the onion rings at the Varsity. :thumbsup2 I dealt with the earthquake over the telephone and everything was just fine in the end. I ended up leaving to return to NY on Friday instead of Sat due to the storm. That was a good choice as the airports all closed down on Sat and I would have been stranded there.

I had the knee surgery this morning. Everything seemed to go extremely well. I have been very sluggish from the drugs today and am about to pass out again LOL.

Tomorrow I will go back to page 68 and start to catch up. I will try to hop over to the end every now and then just to see what is going on. I expect to be on here a lot over the next few days and will gladly fill you all in on what else has been happening. Hopefully I did not miss anything important. I will speak with you all tomorrow! :goodvibes
Oh. My. F=Goodness. You TOTALLY missed the great and interesting stuff that happened while you were gone! Even more than what *I* missed while we were out in the PNW for 2 weeks! I would suggest that you take the time to read each and every post thoroughly and completely before you even TRY to make any more posts! You missed so much that you just might as well cancel the cruise and let somebody get their wait list wish come true. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Oh yeah, we missed you too. :goodvibes Glad to hear that the surgery went well and that you are doing well enough to post! At least the drugs are allowing you to be at least semi-lucid! :thumbsup2

Play nice with them. I completely understand why they need a slower paced thread. Most of the time folks post on here, then a Pirate hunt breaks out, followed by the Congrats. Then by the time someone who knows the answer finally posts a response, we are 5 pages from the original post. I can see people getting lost in all the chatter.

Not saying one is better than the other, just different strokes for different folks.
John! You said that they are slow! That isn't quite true. They just don't seem to think and/or read and/or respond this fast.

Actually, for information, both threads seem to move about the same as you just said, only this one has more fun stuff in between question and answer, while they just seem to have time in between.

The sheer amount of information put forth, help for almost anything, and friendliness here is unrivaled, IMHO.

Hey Dan/Sue,

I know y'all are still trying to catch up at work, but when you get caught up our plans have changed for the Illuminations boat ride. I think we previously had 3 seats reserved. As it turns out our older daughter, Caitlyn will be staying longer than thought (a wedding she was to be in, got called off, after she bought the maid's dress).

Anyway she will be able to babysit Laran for us. That will free up a seat allowing another couple to join us. Also, Lara wanted to make sure that we will be able to do it without purchasing entry into EPCOT.

Thanks

Glad you are home safe and that surgery went well! I'm praying that you heal up quickly and are 100% by Disney time!

I'll play nice, but I did think a few of the posts over there were a bit rude. I get wanting a slower, more informative thread, but some of the comments over there were very curmudgeony.

I don't think they like us over there  :sad1:
We are so lovable though :confused3
