How efficient are they at getting the final confirmation out? We're less than two weeks from our trip and haven't received it yet (nor have we received our ME info, but that's a whole 'nother vent), but the programs my kids are registered for are closed/full. Should I be concerned or just pack my initial confirmation and assume all is well?

After reading the 250+ pages on this thread I can't remember the answer to this question.... so if anyone can help I would really appreciate it...

Do you have to purchase the park tickets at the time of registration? or can you do that at a later time?

Thank you....

There is a number on the website, I would be calling to double check all is okay.
No way, could I make it through the next 2 weeks waiting and stressing and then arriving to find out something was wrong.

Just call the YES number and ask. I don't remember when we got ours, but it seems like it was within a week of our class. I'm sure they won't have a problem giving you the details over the phone. What I got was similar to what I printed out after registration, except it had emergency contact numbers for YES for the class day.

Yes, you have to purchase tickets at the time of registration.

Can someone answer this question for me?

How do I pick up tickets or are they mailed to you? If your class isn't until say Thurs. and you arrive a few days early how do the tickets work out?

Thanks, I can't read the whole thread.

So, the week of Aug 6th is going to be crazy busy compared to the 20th, right?

I wanted to go as late in the month as possible to avoid crowds, but of course the classes they really want are offered at the beginning. If the difference is not hugely significant between weeks it would actually be easier for me to miss work at the beginning of the month and the kids would get to do the classes they really want. However, if the difference is significant, I know the kids will be thrilled to do any classes and we will all be much happier if there are way less people.

Any one with any experience to share? (We have never gone in the summer) Thanks!

I was able to get to the site this morning and it looks like the June classes are open for registration!

Edited - Oh never mind! I must have been seeing things! I swear I saw registration for June classes but it's definitely not there now! My mind is playing tricks on me!

I'm actually hoping they don't allow registration for June for a few more weeks ~ I don't want the classes to fill up before I get my tax return, LOL! :rotfl:

I check the individ. YES program website about everyday. I saw that while registration isn't open, the dates were given. YAYE!

Now, Im moving at like 100mph. By tonight our ourline tickets will be booked. And hopefully by tomorrow our townhome will be reserved. $237 a ticket from Chicago to Orlando. Not Bad. $78+tax a night for a 3 br/3bth townhome with a splash pool. Not bad at all.

There is only one class that is available for my son's age at the time we are going. However, I am not worried about it filling up, because I plan on continuing to check the site everyday. We will sign up for the class the day of and should be just fine.

SO excited!!

Previously threads have been closed after 250 pages. Does anyone think we need to link up a new thread in case they do that again?

RE:picking up tickets while at WDW: We went January 2011 and at that time you picked up tickets at a ticket window attached to DisneyQuest. (of course our instructions said "Downtown Disney" so we started at the wrong end (where the WOD store is.) However, if it's an issue of you plan to order tickets and register only a few days before your trip, I would not do that- classes do fill up. The one we wanted to do was in January and was sold out months ahead of time.

Maybe this has already been answered but the thread has gotten so long I can't find it. I'm having trouble finding the rules about the attendance of the class for individuals. We are in the process of scheduling a trip for October. I was trying to schedule a class that both my children could attend (DS10, DD6) The only class fitting those ages is not offered the week we are attending. There is a class at the Animal Kingdom that lists the age group starting at 7. If I sign my DS up for the class, I assume I will need to attend with him. But I have no place for my DD to go so she would need to come with me. Are there any rules against this?

She loves animals so I know she would enjoy tagging along...but will they even allow me to bring her?

I can't not speak to the reality of it and if exceptions are allowed. We are participating in our first class in June. However, I have combed over the rules, and they state that younger children cannot attend the class. Only students of the class, and one adult each.

I'm definitely going to call, then, because our classes are on days 3 & 7 of our trip so 'within a week' is cutting it way too close!

Does anyone know if they want proof of age for the programs?
Before you flame me, my dd will be 11 1/2 this summer and is in the gifted program at school. I'm not sure if she will get much out of a program geared for 6-11 or 8-11 year olds. I'd rather put her in one that is for 12+ with her sister.

I'd call. We missed our class last year. We didn't get a confirmation before we left. Our class was scheduled for near the end of our trip. I had DS at home checking my email, but he missed the confirmation because he didn't realize what it was (it didn't say "Disney" anywhere in the sent or subject columns, and that's what he was looking for). I had provided them with my phone number and thought they'd either email or call me, or both. They did email, but like I said, DS missed it. (The email came one week before our scheduled class.)

I didn't know if the class was cancelled or not, so I called them, on a Friday. I was told I needed to leave a voicemail for a particular person who was out of the office. I left a voicemail, and didn't get a return call. We left the room, and she called back while we were gone...around 4:00pm. By the time we got back to the room (about an hour later) the office was closed for the weekend (4:30 or 5:00pm, I can't remember). She did not leave the necessary information (where to meet, actually, she didn't even say if the class was even taking place or not) in her message, and our class was scheduled for Monday morning, so we missed it. :sad2:

Thanks for the FYI on the info about summer dates being posted, Now we need to decide if we are actually going to be able to do this or not! Eldest DS last chance at something like this as he is 17 so we are going to think seriously about it!!!:thumbsup2

I'm hoping for the same as our dates are not yet set in stone. We have a few things we have to get finalized before we can set a date!

A previous poster said they were adamant that she could NOT bring another child to the class.
