Sept / Oct 2011

hey there
around 3 weeks or so.....just when you start to stress, it turns up in the mail box:lmao:

Oh good, thanks! I am a tiny bit nervous as I had it sent to our PO Box, our postie is just not trustworthy around here (we've had opened mail sitting in our box, neighbour's mail and mail from entirely different streets going to our address, etc) so I never send parcels to my home address, the PO Box is way more secure and trustworthy and I certainly didn't want to risk my CD going astray. I know it said no PO Boxes, but I figure that's in the US - it's not like they're sending them via courier to Australia.

They are huge mail delays Australia wide due to Australia Post lack of staffing. It's not common knowledge, but I have been told by insiders that containers of mail and parcels sit at the depot's for up to 2 weeks after arriving before they are processed, even though tracking says they have arrived weeks ago. So don't sweat, I find stuff from the UK is taking a month or longer to arrive, so the US may be the same.

Franrose mine arrived to my post box today which i am very happy about except i only got 2 disks and it says i have 3 so hopefully the other one is not to far away and the rest of my order.

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Um Thanks for that travelmum it seems i do have all my disks :rotfl2::rotfl2: when i removed the photopass brochure there it was :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Yep, I wondered if that would be the case for you but didn't want to point it out as I presumed you would have checked! :rotfl2: When I opened mine, the brochure blocking the disk moved a bit so I was able to see the disk behind it. :thumbsup2

oh sept/oct 2011....we miss you

Hello, it's so nice to see that you guys are all still talking and what a great thread I have read quite a bit of it already as we are planning a trip for September 2012.
I was wondering when you went how hot was it? We are from Brissie so we do have quite hot days but I guess when I read TR's of September as well as look at previous weather forecasts it says anywhere between mid-20's and mid 30's plus humidity. So I was just wondered how you Aussies coped and how you found it?
Thankyou so much!

September 2012 - you have a lot of catching up to do!!!

Jessiegirl - We were there September 16-24, and it was as hot as the sun! I had read a lot of reports and thought that they were just being "soft" and us Aussies would cope - the heat comes up through your shoes from the hot concrete.

The humidity was draining and I was really jetlagged as well, which didnt help. But there are plenty of air conditioned areas - a lot of the attractions are indoors or the queuing area is cooled by misting and fans- Drink plenty of water! (for me big cups of coke and ice helped!!)

The best plan is to hit the parks early and head back for a swim around lunchtime. Most days a storm would roll in after lunch and cool things down a bit.

Hey
Weather was 100% humidity (or felt like it)
We hung a round the resort and pool till around lunch, then hit the parks in the Arvo /night always picking EMH parks......
Got a great tan, husband was happy by the pool and we did the rides we wanted to at night......better than having DH melt down in the middle of it's a small world:rotfl:
We love traveling this time of year, less crowds, Halloween, and great off season prices( free dining for those of you staying onsite).

We do love this thread......

Thank you! Sorry, I meant 2013 whoops! We are actually getting married in September at Walt Disney World.
I have read a lot of trip reports and also weather websites and have heard it varies a lot, so I thought I would check with some other aussies!

Thank you, at least there is a plenty of air conditioned areas. We are having an afternoon wedding, so I hope the rain holds off for half an hour or so!

Thankyou!
