I was wondering when Erich starts at Disney? DH and I will be there for a week in September. It would be fun to go see him where he works.

It looks like KatMark and I will be there the same week. DH and I are even staying at CSR!!!

He starts sometime in June. We don't know yet what position he will be working or where. He will be doing two different jobs down there, they will move him to a new job after three months. I think it will be hilarious if he gets recognized while down there.

Anybody else having troubles with the Dis? I couldn't log in using Firefox so I had to open up Google Chrome to log in and even once I logged in everything looks messed up, broken image links everywhere????

Just so you know any problems you may be having with the dis are most likely due to the switch over to the new servers.

May 24th continued

Back at the hotel we all did our own thing for the afternoon. I decided that a nap was in order, the boys wanted to play on their game systems and Mom hit the pool and wandered around the resorts.

The nap was great, I felt a little bit better afterwards. Mom didn't understand why we were all hanging out in the hotel room when we could be at the pool instead.

Around 7pm we drove over to the Poly. The plan was to get dinner at Captain Cooks and watch Wishes from the beach.

It took forever to get our food at Captain Cooks as they were fairly busy and it was just our luck that we got in line behind a lady who was trying to make the life of the cashier as complicated as possible by using 3 different cards and then saying that the cashier rang it up wrong. So the cashier had to reverse everything and then do it again. The cashier apologized to me when I finally got up to her. Wasn't her fault, the obnoxious guest should have been the one apologizing!

It was a lovely night so we ate our dinner outside. There were a bunch of ducks hanging around, this one gave me a laugh.

There were also some baby ducks in the area and some kids from another table were chasing them around. The parents said nothing.

I'm sorry, but I'd grab my kiddos up by the scruff and knock some sense into them if they were chasing around some baby ducks. (Okay, so maybe I wouldn't be THAT harsh about it, but you better believe my kids wouldn't dream of doing such a thing ... and if they did, they'd understand quickly that it's WRONG.) I'm kind of surprised mommy-duck didn't teach those brats a lesson!

Dinner at Captain Cook's before Wishes sounds great. I love the Polynesian so much (don't think I've ever said that before on here, haha!).

We arrived at Typhoon Lagoon before opening and had to wait in line with the other park guests. In line in front of us was an obese man in a pair of teeny tiny Speedos. It was not a pretty sight. You are probably thinking I should not judge and in some ways you are right, however, I do believe you should dress for your body type. You don't see me prancing around in a bikini do you? That would be horrifying and I would never inflict that on the unsuspecting public! The teeny tiny Speedo's are not something that is appealing even on somebody with a good body let alone somebody who definitely does not have the body for it. Luckily we did not have the visual for long as the park opened and we all made our way in.

We didn't stay at the water park too long that day. I hung out in the wave pool for a bit and then I just lay out in the sun on one of the loungers as I was feeling sick to my stomach in the pool. The boys went off and swam through Shark Reef snorkel lagoon again and once they got back we left.

I've been reading from the last post to the middle, trying to catch up.

I felt bad for leaving Typhoon Lagoon last year after the Shark Reef Tank, and one spin around the Lazy River. Sorry you weren't feeling good.

Going back further to read about your brother working at WDW. The suspense is killing me. Is he on the CP program? or is he going to be a regular CM? Can't wait to find out.

It is not the traditional college program. It is an "Internship", I think it is a cross between the college program and their International Program. He will be taking classes and earning credit with a Florida University while working at Disney.

Yeah, some of the parenting I see really scares me. What are these parents teaching their kids about being respectful of life? I know it is "just ducks" but if they let their kids run crazy like that and harass ducks what else are they slacking on in their parenting? I know, easy enough for me to judge since I am not a parent.
