Magic Kingdom Sketch Swap~CLOSED

mine was the Priority Large Regional Box - B and everything fit fine!

Our post office runs out of stuff non-stop that is why I went with a non-USPS box....

Jennifer, Buffy is sliding 6 extra dollars in here box for my postage just incase you need it.. but if Lisa got hers in a box, then mine will fit and the postage i sent should cover... :) {got a little panicky last night when we spoke so I asked her to send a few extra for me}

No worries. I'll see what is the cheapest. I have some flat rate boxes (and the regional rate ones too, so I'll figure out which is the cheapest - I don't see any need to give the USPS more than necessary).

I've just resat at my scrap spot. I'm about fine snow white. I had to change a few things as I didn't like some of the colors. Then I will be doing the others too. Hopefully I will be postal by the end of the week. I'm trying... really trying.

On a side note, anyone home schooled their kids? I'm being put in a hard place by the girls school. They already determined that one of the girls will stay in grade 1 while the other 2 will move on to grade 2 ( and be in the same class) in September. This will be the destruction of her self estime. I can't do that to her. how can they determine in February that someone who has 58% will not have a 60% by June.

Oh Sandy, that sucks. Is it something you can work with her on nights and weekends? Get her up to speed? I can't imagine they know that she's not going to "get it" by June already.

As for homeschooling...I don't have the patience, I bow down to anyone who can do it!

I do not homeschool; but am in awe of those who can...

I do NOT agree with the fact that she can NOT make up that 2% by June... I would call in and ask them what supplemental programs/worksheets they can give you to review with her at home.. There is no way in the world I would split my 3 girls up grade levels (now I would ask for different classrooms, but that is just me.) I honestly believe that she can make that 2% up in no time.. Especially since you know now and can be working outside of class to make these points up..

Jacksmomma, (Brandi), does homeschool her son and I'm sure she would be an abudance of information.
Is there a place you can get her some tutoring afterschool?

I don't think it's beyond your rights to ask that they move her forward, saying that you will work hard with her over the weekends and summer to get her there.

Crappy photo, but here's my final for the Railroad. All the items on the left page will be unattached.

Jennifer, love it.

Sandy, I'm not sure about where you are but here they cannot hold a child back without parental permission, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Most elementary children pick up things at different rates so I am not sure why they are suggusting she repeat when there is still time for her to catch up. Good luck!

Awesome Jennifer!!
Loved the RR new LO... (like the old one too but the new one really pops now).

Yeah, it needed something. I was going to throw some Mickey ears on there, but decided to play with my new toy instead :) I bought a Cameo! There was an awesome special on Overstock with a cover, glitter, sticky paper, $35 in download cards, and the machine, of course. It cuts like buttah! :lovestruc

I've been putting it off forever. I got my 'year end' bonus in January and was able to pay for my weekend away in April and then had plenty left over for the Cameo. Finally bit the bullet!

Congrats Jen. I've been thinking about selling my Cricut and cartridges. I could probably get enoug from all of it to cover the cameo. Have you tried to cut anything intricute? I hate cutting some stuff with the cricut as you need to redo it several times to get it perfect.

I just did the train, but I was able to make the shadow on my own after only two tries. :lmao: I'm hoping to play some more tomorrow. I'd like to try one of the fine lined titles. I do have to say that it cut amazingly. The negative space lifted right off perfectly.

I'm too invested to not have a Cricut, but I may sell my old Expression (which hasn't been updated so if someone has SCAL2, it would work with it). I got the E2 last year and I'm getting used to it.
