I think I am finally catching up with things around here as of this afternoon. I got in late Wednesday evening and went to Alabama the next day, so things were still somewhat in disarray here. I am still catching up on my sleep, too, and you all know how that is when you return from Disney World - unless you are among those who like to sleep in and relax on your trips. I am getting better at that out of necessity, but a lot of my relaxing time is really just out of the park time, but I am still walking around at resorts. I did sit on the Beach Club balcony one afternoon for a while when Marc, Anita, Harper, and Kay went into town. That was very nice.
So, I'll tell you some of the things I did do on this trip:
-took about 2,500 pictures
-stayed at Beach Club and Pop Century
-visited Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo and Kidani), Wilderness Lodge, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans Riverside, Art of Animation
-rode by/into Fort Wilderness, Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, Treehouse Villas, and French Quarter either on bus or boat at some point during my journeys
-went to Downtown Disney twice
-ate at Cape May, Pecos Bill's, Be Our Guest, Cosmic Ray's, Electric Umbrella, Sunshine Seasons, Restaurantosaurus, and ABC Commissary in the parks, and Captain Cook's, Mara, Roaring Fork, Landscapes of Flavor, and Everything Pop in resorts
-didn't ride too many rides or see too many shows, but did enough to make me happy and enough for Kay to be able to hit her favorites
-got to meet up with some of our wonderful DIStown families
All in all, I had a nice time. I picked the perfect time to go to avoid the crummy that my friends were not enjoying here. I definitely missed my best Disney running buddy and my little girls, and we are already talking about dates for next spring break. I will still get two weeks, so Jill is going to try to work out adding a few days to a weekend. I told her maybe Bella and I can go on a few days ahead, and she can come when Brooklynn gets out; then we'll all return together.
Tomorrow begins full re-entry into the school world, but it should not be awful, considering we have only this one last short block of time until we are out. I believe there are only eight weeks left.
Thanks for joining me through the pictures here and on FB. And now, it's time to get back to the October report.....after I figure out where I left off!
