So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

Welcome back, MeMom!! Sounds like you had a fabulous time!! And yay for getting to see your girls.

What a kind gesture picking up something for the Disney store employee...that little bit of WDW magic will likely make her day! pixiedust:

Try to get some rest and enjoy your time with the girls!

Welcome back Memom. :wave2:

Happy Easter to you and the family.

Really enjoyed seeing the photos Scott put on for us all to see.

Back at home.

I suppose I will have to make my own food today. Music will not accompany me 24/7 and change as I move from place to place. No aroma of barbeque or funnel cakes or chocolate chip cookies wafting in the air. No balloons swaying in the wind. No one to drive me wherever I choose to go by bus or boat or train or monorail.

And, don't forget the thing I always find must annoying - now you have to flush your own toilet. :rotfl2:

Welcome back MeMom. Sounds like you had a wonderful time. :thumbsup2

Welcome back Memom. Looks like a great trip even if it did cool down a little at the end. Have a great Easter weekend with your family. Looks like we will have to hide the Easter eggs in the house this year for the grandkids. There's still way too much snow on the ground. :( Highs in the 40's the last couple days so hopefully it will melt soon.

Glad you're home safely - and if you have to leave WDW, at least you get to come home for a family holiday weekend! Enjoy!

Happy Easter!

Welcome back MeMom. I am sure you had a wonderful time.

Scott, thanks for all the FB pictures, I just don't get over there too often.

Happy Easter !!!!

Welcome home MeMom! I'm glad you had a magical time! It's so nice of you to bring some of the magic back for the CM at the Disney Store!:thumbsup2

Happy Easter Everyone!:goodvibes

I came to Alabama yesterday afternoon. We went to Five Guys for dinner - my first time to ever eat there, although I have heard much about it. I can only go by the one burger I had, but I have definitely had better burgers in my days. It wasn't bad, but it certainly was nowhere near the best, in my opinion.

Today, the big girls stayed home with me. I bought them a World Showcase Easter Egg Hunt map while in Epcot, since that activity will be gone when they get there. We watched a video of some people walking through WS finding them, and I stopped the video at each so that they could find the proper egg for each country. They enjoyed doing that. We also made a cake and decorated it with springtime sprinkles. Jill was able to leave work early, and when she got home we had lunch. After that, she and I hid Disney Easter eggs in the backyard, and the girls hunted those. When all the eggs were found, we stayed outside for a while on the swingset, since it was a pretty afternoon.

Tonight, Jill and John went out to eat and to shop while I hung out with the girls. Sophie has been asleep the whole time, and Bella fell asleep about twenty minutes ago. Brooklynn is watching a movie, and I am trying to get started on getting caught up on what has happened in DIStown since I have been gone.

I will be going back home tomorrow. I have much to do to be ready to get back to school on Monday. I got home one night and left the next day, so you can imagine what kind of unpacking and putting away I need to do.

I also got a special treat yesterday when Trent called and asked what I was doing. I told him I was on my way to the mall to drop off the WDW gift for the Disney Store friend. He said he and Brandi were also on their way to the mall to see a movie. They met me at Rainforest Cafe, and then Trent said he would treat us to lunch at Claim Jumpers. I had never eaten there, either, so that was nice. Now, if I can manage a meal with Drew this weekend at some new place, I will have enjoyed all my children and set some kind of record for eating out at new places. :) (That probably won't happen, however, so I am guessing the record will wait for another time.)

I will pick back up on the trip pictures tomorrow, if possible. Our family wishes all of you a beautiful weekend filled with family, friends, and fun!

You have made a great start to the end of your Spring break. Fun times with the ones you love and I bet alot of fun hugs and suger kisses from the big girls and one special little one. May the rest of your break be filled with Easter blessings.

Welcome back Memom!!! It was good "seeing" you on FB!!!! :lmao: Can't wait to hear about your trip!!!

Happy Easter everyone!!! Hope you a have a great day with family and friends!!!:)

What a fun idea to bring that Easter egg hunt home for the girls. I'm sure they had a blast finding them!

.
I will be going back home tomorrow. I have much to do to be ready to get back to school on Monday.

Has it been two weeks already?!?! Oy time sure is flying. I told my mom about your two weeks for spring break and how next year you're getting two for fall break and spring break, and she says they're probably starting to switch you to a year round schedule.

Glad you had a good time on your trip. I'm dying to go back. After having free run of the parks anytime I wanted for 7 months really spoiled me. And now that I live further away from the world, but see more Disney commercials than I did living in FL, it just kills me to not be able to go. October can't get here soon enough!!! Hopefully everything works out and we're still able to go then. If not it will be December.

If you had to come home, I'm glad you made it safe and sound. An early Easter celebration with the girls had to be a great way to finish off your break. It's been fun texting with Trent during the basketball tourney. He had our Shockers doing well in his bracket, so we've been discussing their successes.
We took the kids to an Easter Egg hunt at my mom's today. Harper and Hunter wanted nothing to do with their Easter Bunny, Jace got left on her lap. He didn't seem to mind too much....

I think I am finally catching up with things around here as of this afternoon. I got in late Wednesday evening and went to Alabama the next day, so things were still somewhat in disarray here. I am still catching up on my sleep, too, and you all know how that is when you return from Disney World - unless you are among those who like to sleep in and relax on your trips. I am getting better at that out of necessity, but a lot of my relaxing time is really just out of the park time, but I am still walking around at resorts. I did sit on the Beach Club balcony one afternoon for a while when Marc, Anita, Harper, and Kay went into town. That was very nice. :)

So, I'll tell you some of the things I did do on this trip:
-took about 2,500 pictures
-stayed at Beach Club and Pop Century
-visited Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo and Kidani), Wilderness Lodge, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans Riverside, Art of Animation
-rode by/into Fort Wilderness, Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, Treehouse Villas, and French Quarter either on bus or boat at some point during my journeys
-went to Downtown Disney twice
-ate at Cape May, Pecos Bill's, Be Our Guest, Cosmic Ray's, Electric Umbrella, Sunshine Seasons, Restaurantosaurus, and ABC Commissary in the parks, and Captain Cook's, Mara, Roaring Fork, Landscapes of Flavor, and Everything Pop in resorts
-didn't ride too many rides or see too many shows, but did enough to make me happy and enough for Kay to be able to hit her favorites
-got to meet up with some of our wonderful DIStown families :thumbsup2

All in all, I had a nice time. I picked the perfect time to go to avoid the crummy that my friends were not enjoying here. I definitely missed my best Disney running buddy and my little girls, and we are already talking about dates for next spring break. I will still get two weeks, so Jill is going to try to work out adding a few days to a weekend. I told her maybe Bella and I can go on a few days ahead, and she can come when Brooklynn gets out; then we'll all return together.

Tomorrow begins full re-entry into the school world, but it should not be awful, considering we have only this one last short block of time until we are out. I believe there are only eight weeks left. :goodvibes

Thanks for joining me through the pictures here and on FB. And now, it's time to get back to the October report.....after I figure out where I left off! :scratchin

I think we left off with our cousin time at Kali. After that, Brooklynn and I went back to Pop for some rest.

Later, on our way out to Magic Kingdom, we stopped by Fast Forward Arcade to see a church/school friend who was working the College Program.

Jill had made the AK day a short one with plenty of rest time in the afternoon, because that night we were going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!

There is such an exciting feel to Magic Kingdom as the specially-costumed castmembers appear.

This picture makes me smile. My big girl who was just weeks before in a hospital bed unable to move was back to annihilating aliens with the best of them! :woohoo:

After just a few minutes of light rain, the night was beautiful. It was filled with trick-or-treating and dance parties and riding rides - just a wonderful night of fun!

I did not ride this on the March trip. I couldn't do this or things like Peter Pan, Carrousel, or Dumbo without the girls.

Things to buy - or just look at.
