These are NOT the rooms that I paid for! 3 Resorts in 10 days - Trivia Answers 9/3

I've really enjoyed living vicariously through you and Emily! And I've decided that the trip report board is THE place to hang out. Everyone is significantly happier and more positive here than on the general theme park board.

Can't wait to read your next report!! I did the afternoon tea @ the GF in 2009 and I plan on doing it again when I go in February. It's one of my absolute favorite things ever!

We're going to be in Disney at the same time! I'll be there from the 16th to the 25th, staying offsite (we're doing SeaWorld's parks in addition to the Disney parks) and I am SO excited! As far as water parks, I love Typhoon Lagoon. There is one big slide at 60 feet, but that's only half the size of Blizzard Beach's biggest slide  I love TL because most of the slides are more twists and turns than straight drops, and Shark Reef was one of the coolest Disney experiences I've had! I hope you guys have a blast!

I'm so sad your TR is over, but am already looking forward to the next one. Your resort plans look awesome, and I can't wait to read about your tours, tea, and other plans.

We have only been to typhoon lagoon. I thought it was really lovely and tropical. I don't really care for water slides with big drops so I avoided blizzard beach, but found plenty to do at typhoon lagoon.

Great wrap up Brenda! I was sad to see this TR come to an end, it's been such an enjoyable read. :thumbsup2 The good news is we all have a new TR to look forward to as your next trip is only 5 days away! :cool1: Love the resorts you've chosen for your next stay. I've never had the pleasure of staying in any of them so I'm happy to live vicariously through your TR's, lol!

Have a wonderful trip, safe travels and I look forward to reading all about it!

I really want to meet Merida! Everyone always seems to have the best interactions with her. She's also my favourite princess!
I'm with Rob -- wish Canadians could use the resort airline check in. So jealous! But glad it went smoothly for you.
Sounds like you made the most of your last day. And had a smooth journey home. :thumbsup2
WOW I can't believe you're already so close to your next trip! Great timing, so glad I don't have to go too long without an emmysmommy trip report! :thumbsup2 Your plans look amazing, I can't believe how many awesome resorts in one trip! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Thank you so much for sharing your trip with everyone, I absolutely loved reading along. :flower3:

Finally all caught up on your trip, Brenda!

Hard to believe the weather was so cold at the end of your trip! Good thing you were both prepared.

All in all, it sounds like a great trip. I loved seeing all the different resorts you stayed at (especially your YC upgrade) and hearing your and Em's thoughts on all the different places you dined. Can't wait to read about your future Disney adventures! :cool1:

Great end to a great TR!! Hope you have a blast with the upcoming trip and I can't wait to hear about the Sunrise Safari and Key to the Kingdom Tour! We as a family is still several years away before both kids are old enough for those tours.

I loved the bears!! They were so cute!! And when I met Merida in July last year I was first in line so I got to wake them up! Also, I’m in love with Merida’s cloak and I just really want one…

One of the things I will definitely want to do this next trip is see the Trolley show and the citizens of Main Street!! Always miss them! ACK! MARY IN HER RED COAT! Like, I just want to see that someday in person! I love the Jolly Holiday and all, but the red coat is something completely different!

Looks like a pretty good meal at the Plaza, I will definitely be trying there one day, it looks/sounds awesome!

A lovely little ending, of course you guys were already plotting the next trip out! Heck, there’s a picture of me from Sept ’11 waiting for the ME to show up and I’ve got the Unofficial Guide open, like, already planning next year!

So...About Those Plans.....

Since there is no big revel to our plans because I’ve been talking about it enough….here's where we will be staying and some highlights of how we plan to occupy our 15 days at WDW:

8/24-8/30: Bay Lake Tower – 1 bedroom Lake View x 6 nites - My all time favorite villa!

You will be at WDW the same time as we will be!!! I will keep an eye out for you. Maybe we can meet someplace. We will be at Art of Animation Nemo suites from 8/25-8/29 then moving over to AKL until the 1st of Sept.
And as for water parks, depends on what you are more crazy for... Blizzard Beach has the best slides, but Typhoon Lagoon has the best wave pool (and you can swim with the sharks over there as well). I think Blizzard Beach is a bit better themed and maybe slightly nicer over all.

Have a safe and fabulous trip! Can't wait to read the next report. Please take lots of pics of WL. I love that place!

Have you ever considered coming in October for the Food and Wine Festival? It's my favorite time of year to visit WD. The Fall and Halloween decorations and F&W are fantastic.

I've only recently discovered DisBoards, and yours was the first trip report I started. I'm so glad I did. The report was so much fun, and I can't wait to hear about your next trip.

NOOOOO you can't be done! I have absolutely loved your TR! Your upcoming plans sound great, can't wait to read about it! One question, when you go it doesn't bother you to change resorts that many times? I have been thinking about a split stay, but not sure if I would like packing and changing rooms.

Hi Brenda! It's been a busy week, but I just wanted to check in from our plane. We'll be in WDW tomorrow!

As for your plans, all I can say is wow - 4 resorts! And I hope you can make it to a water park. If you're picking based on atmosphere, I'd go for Typhoon Lagoon - it's absolutely gorgeous, and there's nothing like chilling in the wave pool there. But overall, both water parks are great (and I'm sure they'll be extra enjoyable since we have waterproof MagicBands now). :goodvibes

So sorry to see your awesome TR come to a close, but yeah for a trip just days away! :cool1: Seriously, what could be better?

I love how you closed out your last day. So many great pictures of the two of you. I just have to say that Merida's hair looks a little out of control. Does humidity do that to Disney wigs? I hate to see her in the summer. :rotfl2:

I often need therapy when I come home too. It's always so hard to have to come home and clean up. yuck.

49.8 lbs. :rotfl2: Phew, I thought I was cutting it close with 49.5 last October.

As far as your new plans - I love that you stay at so many resorts during your stay. It really makes things interesting. We are staying at BWV, SSR, and AKL in October. I thought it was one resort too many, but it should be fine. You are also so fortunate to get to take such a nice long trip. So jealous.

Denny and I tried Typhoon Lagoon in June and we really enjoyed it. We did a few slides, but really enjoyed the lazy river. I could have sat in one of those lounge chairs all afternoon, but we had an appointment with our DVC guide.

Looking forward to hearing about your new adventure. Have a great time!

Hi, great end to your trip report. I also love breakfast at CRT, although this time we are trying lunch. We are also giving a waterpark a try this trip and keep going back and forth on which one to go to, I am thinking it will end up being a last minute decision. I hope we run into you guys while you are at the Yacht Club, if you see a little girl around 6 trying to strike up a converstion with everyone thats us :goodvibes

Great report Brenda! Thk u

Your itinerary sounds awesome, so many great resorts and club level too..love it. Can't wait to hear all about it, especially the tours you are doing.

We loved blizzard beach better than typhoon...fun theming...although the big slide definitely will make you bottoms be gone. If you take the gondola up go on the raft down very nice. Either way though they are both fun parks.

Enjoy your trip!

I'll only get to a few comments before I have to head off to work....I'll be back later to update and comment.

I so need to meet Merida. You know... redheads and all.

I so wish we Canucks could use that airline check in.

I absolutely do believe that a moment of silence was observed upon your exit. No doubt in my mind at all.

See now, normally I'm always sad when everyone reaches departure day on their TR, but since you're heading back in just a few days AND then heading back just a few months later, I'll reserve my tears until then. :)

I know it wasn't a big reveal, but I don't think I was aware (or just forgot) that you'd be there for 15 days. WOW!!! You know you'll be missed. :sad1:

I assume the December trip is still on as well? I'm so hoping to book for that time as well, just have to figure some things out. It was intended to be the parent trip, but my father's not sure he'll feel up to it. If not, I may just have to go solo again.

Hi Rob!
Speaking of redheads... Ariel (WITH FINS) says hi!! We were hanging with her and her friends yesterday. :)

IMG_0056.jpg

And yes, you would love Merida - such a charming Scottish accent!

I forgot that the airline bag check is not Canuck friendly. Boo!

Ha ha! You're funny! I'm already feeling like I'm going to be left behind with your TRs being gone so long. I usually just peek in a time or two to the Disboards. Reserve a big space in your TRs for my comments when I return!! At least I've seen your TR title reveal - so precious!

YES - you MUST book any dates between Dec. 5th and 13th and you would see us. (And at least one other TR board person here - Rachel.) I would be HONORED to meet you.

How exciting to be doing split stays! I would love to stay at Yacht Club and BLT! It's my ultimate dream to stay in a 1 bedroom at BLT and hoping we can next year if I can talk my sister in law in staying there. :)

Hi there! If talking doesn't work with your SIL - then bribe her! :lmao: I hope that works out but honestly there are so many wonderful resorts that you can't go wrong.

Ahhh thanks!! I've heard stories about the theme park boards so I don't go there often. I agree, there's a lot of happy people here.

I've heard so many positive reports from the GF tea so I'm looking forward to that. I've been meaning to book it for the last couple trips but it always gets overlooked.

We're going to be in Disney at the same time! I'll be there from the 16th to the 25th, staying offsite (we're doing SeaWorld's parks in addition to the Disney parks) and I am SO excited! I hope you guys have a blast!

If you run into us in any of the parks be sure and say hi!! :wave2:

Thanks for the water parks advice. If we have time to visit both we may but I think we'll only see one thus the question about which is "better". We may do bus roulette and hop on the first bus that would go to a water park. :confused3

Hi Ashley. Awww thanks!

I love the tropical feel since that reminds me of the Caribbean. But is sounds like BB is more Disney themed?? I just don't think I would do the huge plunge so I won't pick a park based on that.

Great wrap up Brenda! I was sad to see this TR come to an end, it's been such an enjoyable read. :thumbsup2 The good news is we all have a new TR to look forward to as your next trip is only 5 days away! :cool1: Love the resorts you've chosen for your next stay. Hi Carol! Thanks for reading along! :) I'm looking forward to WL which is new to us but the others are so nice that I couldn't decide thus the split-split-split stay!

Thanks for the warm greeting!

Take care! :goodvibes

I really want to meet Merida! Everyone always seems to have the best interactions with her. She's also my favourite princess!
I'm with Rob -- wish Canadians could use the resort airline check in. So jealous! But glad it went smoothly for you.

Hi Wendy! I think I see a Merida meeting in your future in October! Interactions with her have been great!

Ha! Yeah, the timing for finishing this up and heading out worked perfectly. ::yes:: I remember when you were choosing your resorts I was thinking YES - AKL is awesome.

Thanks again for reading Wendy! I still need to get caught up with your latest post and photo tips!

:cool1:

Hi Emily! I'm like a boy scout (except being a boy and a scout) with that Be Prepared motto and all!! Even if I didn't need a jacket I was bringing one.

Thanks - it was a great trip. I'm looking forward to sharing the next one son.

Take care!

Great end to a great TR!! Hope you have a blast with the upcoming trip and I can't wait to hear about the Sunrise Safari and Key to the Kingdom Tour! We as a family is still several years away before both kids are old enough for those tours.

Thanks Dave! I had to wait until Em was 16 for KTTK and then we didn't fit it in until now so I can understand the kids age limit giving you a few years before that is viable. You'll have many years of Disney trips with your family by then! :)

Hi Kat! I'm glad someone else remembers the bears but to "wake them up" how awesome is that? Disney does such a great job with the details. :thumbsup2

With it so cold so many characters were in their winter-wear! Not sure if I will see Mary in her red coat again but that was cool.

If you like Disney fries you must try Plaza Restaurant! They're the best!

That's funny... plotting and planning the next trip before you have even boarded the bus... that's my type of gal!! :lmao:

Yayayay!! Another TR! I can't believe 4 resorts!

I really enjoyed this whole trip... You and Em sure fit a lot into your trips!
