From 8 to 80!Seeing the Magic through a new set of eyes-Updated7/15-NEW TR LINK pg 28

OK, the last part of that update has me half in tears here at work. I so believe in your dream and just know that one day you will work for Disney!

OK, let's backtrack to the beginning of the update. I'm really glad you guys had a good lunch at Le Cellier. Small spoiler from the February trip but our meal there was AWFUL! It turned out to be the worse meal of our trip. If Mom and I hadn't gone the year before and loved it, I don't think I would concider going back it was that bad. Mom and I were so disappointed because that was the meal we were looking forward too the most. I think it was probably just an off night for them but it sure turned me off to the restaurant at the moment. :(

So neat that you got to do PFTH (not sure if that's the correct DIS abbreviation but I'm going with it) on the day it opened! I am so exited now that they are moving Anna and Elsa there but I feel bad that Snow and Aurora are getting the shaft but I think I remember reading that they moved somewhere else. Jim and I decided not to get a FP+ for them in May so we will be jogging there first thing in the morning so we don't have a long wait.

I think I might have to try the Wishes in NFL this next trip. I was thinking of skipping Wishes this time because Jim did not care for the crowds around the Hub. I think it's going to be even more of a mess now with all the construction going on. But hopefully it won't be as crowded back by BOG.

Oh man! You are almost wrapping this one up here. I was glad to see you note that you will start your December TR soon. I have not started one and don't want it to be lame since I may be forgetting some details since I didn't take great notes.

Ok, I have a lot of catching up to do here so going wayyy back...

Uhhhh seriously, you looked better than Tink at the MNSSHP. You looked awesome! What great interactions with Terrance and Tink!. Anne and your mom's costumes were awesome too. Your mom made her shoes? What were they made out of? You guys are very creative!

I enjoyed your trip video and the interaction with Rapunzel and Flynn.

That was cool that the park guests at the party interacted with each other and posed for photos with each other. That's perfect.

Well, now I've seen a first. Thanks for handing off your camera to get a glimpse inside the men's room at the Tangled restroom area. Why do they get frying pans and we get nothing? Wait, I suppose we get Rapunzel's paint supplies and hand mirror.

That was cool that you were able to meet Dani!

Great job with the details for the KTTK tour! I compared notes and it was pretty much the same spiel. I'm almost at that day in my August TR.

I ADORE Le Cellier's pretzel bread and soup. I haven't had the filet in a couple trips since now they serve the larger dinner size one and like you, I have a hard time finishing that. I'm glad that LC is a consistently great restaurant. I wonder if it's that Canadian charm? :)

Ok, I met my goal of successfully catching up here.

Haha thats totally fair! Originally in Feb Steven & I were only going for 3 days so I didn't take notes of anything, and when we ended up staying a full week I was sad I didn't have notes as it would've made an AWESOME TR! Lol

Ahahaha thank you!!! I am sad I'm not in her height range! Lol it would be awesome! Lol. I think Mom just took like, craft felt & glued them over her regular shoes? Something like that, by the end of the night and walking in some wet they were falling apart!

Thanks!! It's not great, but it's something! Hopefully the next one will be better! Having a Mac now should help hah!

I LOVE that part of MNSSHP, the interaction with the other guests is sometimes just seriously PERFECT and I love it!

I know right?!?! The boys get so much more in there hahah!

I was super glad we managed to run into them at the last minute! They're fantastic people!

Ah awesome!!!

Hahaha, probably is! And yes! I somehow didn't realize it was bigger til I was reading your TR! Glad that the next few times I'll be down there it'll be available ala food & wine booth so that'll be great! Hahaha

Awwe, yeah, it definitely had me in tears writing it lol!
Thank you, so much, it really does mean a lot, all the support I've gotten from the dis!

Aw man, that SUCKS royally! I'm sorry your LC meal was so bad!! I think sometimes resturants just have off days in total, sucks that what is usually agreat place had one for you guys!

Hahaha, yeah, that's the right one, and it was awesome to see! Aurora will be in the hall with the Frozen girls (the sisters will still meet together, in one spot, like they are now, with aurora on the other end) Snow goes back to Town Square for the daytime, and in the evening, Anna & Elsa go away, and Snow goes in there!

Yes!! Definitely check them out from back there! By BOG, over by the Storybook Circus sign, and the tangled bathrooms are all great spots!!

Great pics! :)

thank you!!

Well, we had one last day in Disney, and there was no sleeping to be had! I had booked us in for a 9:00am reservation over at one of my favorite resorts, the Polynesian!! Specifically, at Kona! We got up, got ready, and packed up all the remaining stuff and threw our bags into luggage services and then made our way over to the bus stop one last time.

A bus ride, to Magic Kingdom, when not going to MK, is kinda painful.

BAHAHA!

But seriously, we bussed there, and then decided to take the boat over to the Poly, it did make me a little nervous time wise, as we stopped over at the Gflo first, but we made it in time, no worries!

Upon arrival I definitely noticed that Kona was definitely the least crowded, and mostly adults, so that was a nice change. I checked us in and the cast members ther were just kind of ….weird…rude…awkward…people that should not have been working in the service industry to say the least. Luckily that changed once we were seated and we had a fantastic server who was quick to get me some delicious juice!

LOVE THAT STUFF. Pretty sure it’s the same as the jungle juice over at Tusker House, but like, it’s delicious! We placed our orders and took some time admiring the décor around the place!

It was a smaller restaurant, but there seemed to be quite a bit of space, and it was super nice, not too loud, heck, you could hear the shenanigans over at Ohana louder than anything else. Our food arrived quickly, Mom & I both had the Tonga Toast:

While Anne opted for the omlete that came with breakfast potatoes and a biscuit!

The first thing we noticed was that the portions were freaking HUGE, the second thing was that they were DELICIOUS! I had the Tonga Toast room service style when I stayed at the Poly, and comparably, this one was more dried out, but the strawberry compote that come with it really helped! I did wish there was more banana or like, custard inside it to help with the bread, but it was still super tasty. I mainly ate the middle part, and Mom ate all of hers.

Anne enjoyed her omelet, and I ate a couple of the potatoes, which were super tasty as well! I’d say that it was a very successful breakfast! I also noted that I ordered the juice, and a coffee, but didn’t get charged for either of them? I know with the DDP at least one is included, but I think either Mom or Anne just had water, so the server was amazing enough to just “pretend” it was one of their drinks for me! YAY!

Service 4/5
-I have no memories of it minus my notes saying it was great, and I remember her being enjoyable, but not too overbearing, so that’s just lovely!
-I say 4 simply because of the rude/awkward seaters. I mean, they are the first thing you experience in a restaurant, they should be greeting with a smile and politeness.

Food 4/5
-Tonga toast was a bit drier today, probably due to the later hour in the day compared to alst time I had it, but still good
-Portions are huge! So nom!
-Juice was awesome, nice blend of everything

Ambiance 5/5
-The Poly is gorgeous, and Kona has big open walls/open air “windows” to look out into the resort and it’s gorgeous
-Lots of space without being a huge place
-Not too loud, even with the proxmimity to Ohana!

Would We Go Again: Yes, but not for a while! There are too many other places at resorts I want to try for breakfast!

Cost
$12.99 x 2 Tonga Toast
$11.49 Ham & Cheese Omlete w/potatoes & biscuit
$4.49 Liliko’I Juice
$2.29 x2 Coffee

Total: $46.54
We only paid the tip! Woohoo!!

Breakfast filling our bellies we thanked our server and headed up to the monorail, where we ventured past the Magic Kingdom. I had debated leaving Anne & Mom here & going to play again, as their flight was earlier than mine, BUT, I had said goodbye already, MK was not going to happen until next year (or so I thought…)

After discussing, we ended up taking the bus back to Riverside, and explored over there a bit. I did really like the resort, and ended up buying a few things in the gift shop, but I did prefer French Quarter. That is….until we took the boat back to FQ and saw the MANSIONS!! I know they’re more expensive, and they house the royal gust rooms, but holy cow those things are beyond gorgeous (and I will mention, I am beyond excited to get to stay in them in May!)

We made it back to French Quarter with just enough time to spare that Mom & Anne could grab their luggage and head for the Not-So-Magical Express. And here was another moment that I felt the need to just be staying in Floridia. I said good bye to them, and sent them on their way, wishing them a safe flight and thanking them for such a magical trip. And as I turned away with only my purse, and waved goodbye to the bus, I simply felt that I should have been walking out to my car and driving the like, 10 minutes to home so that I could prepare for a magical shift at work the next day.

Sadly, I was turning back to pick up my carry on bag from luggage services so I’d have my laptop for the next few hours. I spent them organizing and uploading photos and editing the photopass pictures, as well as emailing photopass about the NUMEROUS missing photos from my account. BOO.

The not so sad thing? Well, with the DDP including TS meals, we had a TON of counter service credits leftover…and you know what THAT MEANS

ALL OF THE UNCRUSTABBBBLLLEEEESSSS.

Seriously.

I got a kids grilled cheese meal to eat then, and like, a good 7 Uncrustable meals for the way home/first couple of days before they went bad. Lol. And that, ladies and gents, is all I got.

Stay tuned for one, FINAL wrap up and reviews! (and also more updates as I'm tacking on some quick October links on here too!)

Alright, so for the final wrap up, I’m just going to start out by saying THANK YOU

Each and everyone of you that read along, whether from the day I started this, halfway through, from the very first trip report, or whether you just decided to start now. Whether you commented on every update (thank you Rob!) or just lurked around reading the adventures we had, I thank and love each and every single one of you.

Without the people on the Disboards, life would be a heck of a lot different. Well, I’d be sitting here talking to myself for one thing, bahha! But seriously, Dis people get it, they get each other, they understand the urge to suddenly hop on a plane and go “home”. They know how to say “stand clear of the doors” in Spanish, they know what a dole whip and a fast pass is, and they don’t look at you weird when you get super excited to meet a mouse.

I really do appreciate every single one of you, you’ve been so supportive, encouraging and amazing, especially when it comes to my dreams. So many of you have become such good friends, even if maybe we don’t talk daily, or haven’t actually met in real life, know that these friendships mean the WORLD to me, and if we currently aren’t facebook friends, I’m more than okay with being so, and if we haven’t had the chance to meet, believe me, we will. I really do hope the day comes that you hear that Move It Shake It music start and I get to jump up and down and wave insanely excited to your beautiful face from Main Street.

Now, onto the trip itself, each and every trip is absolutely amazing, magical and incredible, but it is amplified even more with a first timer, and with your parents. Being the age I am is wonderful as I get along with my Mom again (you know…teen years…eck) and I am so blessed to get to experience such magical things with her. I am SO lucky and glad that she got to come to Disney with me, and that she liked it! Mom puts up with me wanting to eat with the princesses, getting flustered over a certain prince, wanting to go meet Tigger three times, and of course, sitting through Festival of the Lion King four times in one trip….not that I think she minded that.

Having Anne with her was an experience I will never forget, it was truly getting to see her become a kid again, she went along with everything we had planned, she was into it all, she enjoyed it all, and I will NEVER FORGET the moment we were in line for Cruella at MNSSHP and she turned around, squealed, and jumped up and down just like a 6 year old. Disney is for the kid in all of us! I also got a laugh out of my Mom telling me that when the two of them were talking about the trip with their gymnastics team that Anne exclaimed “the FIRST DAY WAS 16 HOURS STRAIGHT” like…#whoops didn’t think of that, ahahaha, thank you EMH.

Now, onto some actual reviews that may help you book trips and stuff in the future!

Port Orleans, French Quarter
10/10
Just FREAKING DO IT.
-Unlike the other moderates, the resort has one bus stop for everything, all busses, and they only share busses during the random middle of the day times
-Interior and exterior of the resort is gorgeous, all Mardi Gras and New Orleans themed and it’s wonderful! Anne was quick to comment that it did really feel like actually being there
-It’s beautiful
-Great selections of food
-Amazing cast members, always, everywhere, service here was amazing. Clearly quite a few CP’s in the food court, and they always had smiles on their faces and were more than happy to help.
-Never used the pool, but it was big enough, never seemed crowded and looked awesome
-Mom & Anne enjoyed the pool bar though! BAHA! The bartender there (also Shelly, not to be confused with my Shelly) was beyond amazing and friendly!
-Rooms are large, and beautifully decorated, the purple bedspreads really made it awesome
-You’re super close to transport wherever in the resort you are
-The boat ride over to Riverside/DTD is super lovely
-Awesome that you can use both Riverside & FQ’s pools, busses, foodcourts, etc
-Our room location was amazing!
-Never waited that long for a bus at park closing/opening, nor did we have that big of bus crowds
-The food court & gift shops were open later than other moderates which was fantastic so we could shop or eat after being in the parks later!
-I would DEFINITELY stay there again, new favorite resort (minus the fact that I’ve discovered DVC renting…whooooops)

Time of Year-September
-Amazing
-If you can do it, do it
-Seriously
-MNSSHP and the fall decorations are beyond amazing and fantastic and really theme everything into play
-Crowds are light, they have picked up since my first Sept trip (in 2011) as have the prices (we each paid $880 for everything that first trip, like, flight ,park tickets, hotel and free ddp…#WINNING. We paid a lot more than that this time, but that was an upgrade in hotel, and higher costs for flights)
-The weather is hot, and humid, and it will rain
-I love all of those things, so it works for me, but do take pool breaks, shade breaks, air conditioning breaks, etc

Disney Dining Plan
-I at this point, will only do it when it’s free, OR if we have one TS per day booked, having done the math for our upcoming May trip, we found with only 2 sit down meals (and one being the HDDR) it turned out to be cheaper to just pay OOP.
-This trip however was WELL worth it, we would have spent around a grand total of $1000.00 total on food for the week for the four of us. Thanks to the DDP, that was all free (and since the DDP was free, I REALLY MEAN FREE)
-Felt okay picking more expensive items on the menu, IE; Le Cellier especially, those filet’s are super pricey, but being on the DDP makes it feel more justifiable

MNSSHP
Yup, this one gets its own review segment
-Guys, if you’re there during Sept/Oct ever, you need to take just one night and DO IT JUST FREAKING DO IT
-Seriously
-The option to actually get to dress up, as an adult, in the parks, doesn’t come around often, so it’s amazing to get to have fun, and see all the other costumes people come up with
-Special characters, including PRINCES, it results in way better interaction from the princesses as they have someone else to work off of instead of just talking with you, better interactions, better conversations, awesome stories to tell!
-Boo To You is hands down my favorite parade on property, guys, it’s up there with Festival of the Lion King, if you had to ask me to choose one, I wouldn’t be able to (okay, now THAT’S A LIE, but it’s an insanely super close second)
-Hallowishes are my favorite, and that’s no lie, they are far superior to Wishes IN MY OPINION. I knew I loved them, I knew that, but I will always remember turning to my Mom and Anne and squealing during the show we all saw together and that just solidified how much I love them
-It’s Halloween, in Disney, nuff said!

Highlights of the Trip
-Amazing and delicious food ALL week long from seriously everywhere!
-Getting to meet some amazing Disboarders like Jen, Dani & Matt, Courtney & Chris and Susie, all for the first time
-Getting to see some old friends in Brian and Shelly and actually spend some time with them on this trip
-Watching Wishes from New Fantasyland
-Getting to see some of my favorite performer friends, and getting to see them in different roles than normal. Not to mention having them cheer me on when it comes to auditions ;)
-Anne meeting Cruella during MNSSHP
-Mom’s experience meeting Peter Pan, and getting to crow with him. Both the fact that he made her do it, and that she was actually awesome enough to do it!
-Halloween parade and fireworks being pricelessly amazing
-The entire KTTK tour, and getting to see the backstage stuff, the parade/entertainment area mainly!
-It was super nice to take it slow and at a different pace than usual, saw some great stuff wouldn’t normally see, and do some stuff I’d never done before
-Seeing Anne really like Animal Kingdom. Seriously no one ever gives it love, and to see someone like it as much as she did was awesome, as it’s my second home!
-Festival of the Lion King so many times ! (4? 5? I honestly can’t remember now, bu hey, I thought it would be my last time, I had to get in there!)

Not So Great Moments
-Honestly, there was still SO MUCH I wanted to do that didn’t get done, but hey, that’s why you go back, right?
-No boat in Fantasmic
-Not getting to see Illuminations, it’s been a year, actually, the last time I watched it was with Mom, and it would have been nice to see it again!
-I would have liked to get in another MNSSHP, ahahaha (little did I KNOW)
-Feeling super sick/gross on our DHS day!
-The not so great character interactions during my first MNSSHP
-The photopass plus problems. Eck.

Photopass Plus
-Won’t get it again, plain and simple
-The photos were good, there was a variety of them and in different places
-Some of them were crooked, off centered, and just not taken by very good photographers
-The extra money was not worth it for the plus with who I was with. I figure come Sept, our super long trip, we will do Attractions+ (if that’s still an option) to get ride photos but who cares about the meal photos. Meh. Not I.
-Photographers seemed less and more spread apart, none in world showcase, but 10 on Main St kinda thing
-Missing photos was a MAJOR problem, even with specific days, places, even set times, and pictures from my camera provided, none of my missing pictures were found
-We did not use PP at all in Oct and that was fine, though some cm’s were snarky about it and would not let you walk away without scanning your band, and would refuse to just take pics with just your phone/camera
-In Dec we used PP again and had no problems, and had some great photographers, so I hope things are looking up!

Now, I have one more update of simply dining reviews left for you, this way, they’re all in one place. However, I’m going to copy and paste right from my “notes” that I have and maybe do a little bit of editing so I can’t promise that they’ll be fantastic.

But, don’t you fret, for over the next couple of days, I have some MORE FUN. I ended up taking a very sporadic and spontaneous trip down to Disney the last week of October, for literally, 3 days, and since it’s only 3 days, I don’t have a lot of notes, or pictures, I’m going to tack it on to the end of this trip report.

It includes a best friend, a brand new friend, a week of Disney World and 2 MNSSHP crammed into 2.5 days, a stay in a SUITE, some insane character interactions, and some priceless stories, so be sure not to miss it!

Thanks for the great report, and wonderful review. Here's to believing that "all your wishes will come true"!!!

Aww Katt, thank for the shout out. :flower3:

Oh God "I really do hope the day comes that you hear that Move It Shake It music start and I get to jump up and down and wave insanely excited to your beautiful face from Main Street." That legit brought a little tear to my eye. :sad1:

I have no doubt this trip was extremely special and it realy showed. To show it off to Mom and espeically first timer Anne (like, I still can't get my head around her being 80). Hearing about her experience really hits home and makes me realize that when (God willing) I'm that age I will act the same way. It's really inspiring.

Port Orleans is looking like the go to for me for May 2015. Yes, I hope to get back before that (hello September?) but I'm already looking ahead to next year too.

Honestly Katt, I don't know how you keep it all straight especially having so many excursions since this Sept trip. Glad to hear that those moments will not be missed. :goodvibes

Wow, that last post choked me up a bit. Its wonderful to read your trip reports; it lets me live vicariously through you and has made me want to get on the Cultural Rep program even more than I did previously. I hope that when I get onto it I can wave back at you from the pavement of Main Street. I can't wait to hear more of your fabulous adventures.

As usual, really, really GREAT TR Katt!! :thumbsup2
I'm looking forward to your October visit report too. Don't tell me you were there from 10/19-10/27 and we didn't get to meet you!!

And that wraps up another great TR!!! Thanks for letting me tag along with you Katt!!!

My oldest is headed off to college in August and the two younger kids want to do Universal this fall... So once again, no Disney for me...

Good thing you go "home" all the time so I can get my Disney fix!!! :rotfl2:

Great wrap up! I really need to stay at POFQ! It's the only moderate I haven't stayed at. Well POR was a long time ago but I will be staying there in May. Mom wants to go as cheap as possible in October but I may just have to sneak in a surprise upgrade if there are any good deals for POFQ.

Kona for breakfast looks wonderful! Too bad I can't eat heavy breakfasts like that. :( I think Mom and I are going to try O'Hana for breakfast in October, I'll just have to watch what I eat but at least I'll get to see my Pluto!

Can't wait to read about the October trip.

Thanks for the great report, and wonderful review. Here's to believing that "all your wishes will come true"!!!

Thank you very much for joining along with us and I hope to see you again in future trips! Lol. Glad that you enjoyed and thank you!!

You have been here so long that I feel like if I didn't give you a shoutout the Disney gods would be very mad at me!! Lol!!

Awwwee!! Well hopefully it will be true sometime, and sometime soon!!

Hhaha, FQ is hands down one of my favorite resorts! I *think* I might like OKW better, and with dvc point renting it's about the same price, but hey, I'd definitely return to FQ!! And YES! SEPTEMBER!!

Ahahaha, LOTS AND LOTS OF NOTE TAKING!! Seriously. There were times in the Dec report writing process that I was all
wait…when was this interaction again?" but since I had notes, it works out!!

Awwe!

Thank you so much!! I am very glad to have had you along for the journey and appreciate every moment of it! Hahah! DO IT!! I just applied earlier in the week for the cultural rep program, I have no idea how they work their hiring (if they do everyone at once, or like, twice or three times a year, or whenever people apply kind of thing) but I'm hoping to hear back and move down soon if entertainment doesn't work out!! And yes!!! I will obvs be posting a link for Dec, and there is more to come here! Lol.

As usual, really, really GREAT TR Katt!! :thumbsup2
I'm looking forward to your October visit report too. Don't tell me you were there from 10/19-10/27 and we didn't get to meet you!!

Thank you so much!! Glad you enjoyed and were along for the ride!!

Ahahaha, we were definitely there the 27th to 30th. Although we arrived in the late afternoon on the 27th and SPED away for MNSSHP!!

And that wraps up another great TR!!! Thanks for letting me tag along with you Katt!!!

Thank YOU for joining along!!! I'm very glad you've been here and been reading along and enjoyed! Without readers, trip reports would be pretty boring!!

Awwe!! Lol. Universal can be fun too, right? Lol. I'm headed over there for the first time in Sept and it'll be interesting lol. Glad I can help with your fix for now haha!

Another great report...now just have to wait for the "report" from the Feb trip!

Hahaha! It won't be long! Thank you for joining!!

Hey All!! So I was looking through that last update, and realized I’d said I would do a quick “all” dining review, so here goes nothing!!

Chef Mickey’s- Dinner
-Overall score 4/5
-Would return simply for the food, quality and quantity was great, delicious options
-Character interaction was meh from most, but we were a table of all adults
-Service was not great, would ask for bill at the beginning of the meal next time

Cosmic Rays-Lunch
-Overall score 4/5
-Lots of seating, tons of choices for food
-Sandwiches (especially when on DDP) are big enough portions to share between 2 adults
-Sonny was good entertainment
-If you don’t want to split up & someone wants chicken nuggets, order the kids size, you can get kids meals at all the “bays”
-Mango Gelato was PERFECT, later rated “food of the day” not too sugary or sweet, actually tasted like mangoes

Be Our Guest-Dinner
Overall score: 5/5
-Request Shelly as your server if you can, she is perfect, tell her you’re a friend of mine, lol!
-Food is always great, lamb was new to the menu, it was cooked PERFECTLY, and was super delicious, subbed out the celery root for the mac & cheese to get exactly what I wanted
-Too many delicious desserts, every one of them was amazing
-Service has always been less than great for me unless Shelly was serving us, and I’m not kidding, everything seems to take a little while
-I prefer sitting in the ballroom to west wing, it’s more regal feeling
-Loved that the Beast danced with me after dinner
-Would DEFINITELY return

Flame Tree BBQ- Lunch
Overall: 5/5
-Food quantity is HUGE there
-Ribs were fall off the bone good
-Too smoky tasting for Anne’s liking, but Mom & I loved our meals
-No indoor seating can be a little problem on hotter days
-Salad was large & filling & lots more than just veggies in it
-FANTASTIC cm’s that morning!
-Safari Amber beer was DELICIOUS!

POFQ Food Court
-4/5
-Options were great, kids meals delicious and perfectly portioned
-Staff always friendly and awesome
-Never that crowded, always had seats to pick from
-Only wish that Disney would get some brown sugar and milk instead of creamers for coffee

Caseys-Dinner/snacks
-4/5
-Great food, LOVE the corn dog nuggets
-Wish there was more seating inside (think there is now with the refurb done?)
-Quick service, experienced friendly cm’s!

Starring Rolls-Breakfast
4/5
-Needs more space, both inside restaurant and for seating
-Line moves efficiently
-Cupcakes and treats all AMAZINGLY delicious
-Will definitely return
-Be aware it closes early, and is SUPER crowded at peak times!

Sci Fi Drive In-Lunch

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen! So, as the September Saga of this trip report come to a close, don’t fret! There’s a WHOLE SECOND PART TO IT!! I’m not joking folks! I’m not going to put a whole lot of detail into it as I don’t have a lot, if any notes from it, so I’m going strictly off pictures! Whoot! Lol. So, let’s get moving, shall we?

As you all know, I have a HUGE LOVE for EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING Halloween, especially Disney Halloween. I woke up one morning after a night out after work and listened to Boo To You, and watched some Disney youtube videos. In that moment that I was watching the first segment of the video I’d made from September, I had the DYING NEED to be on Main Street once again, and I didn’t want to wait. I quickly pulled up the Disneyworld website to see if the week I was thinking of going had tickets available for MNSSHP. Lo and behold, it did…AND THERE WAS A PARTY ON THE SUNDAY TOO!! #dying.

I priced it out and figured that I could afford to go no problem, now, who would come with me? Well, who was the bff that was absolutely heartbroken she had gone in August (with her now ex boyfriend….) instead of waiting til September…why, PAIGE OF COURSE! I texted her and asked if she was interested in going to a Halloween party, it was out of town, so it’d take a couple days, but it’d be worth it. When she asked who’s, I simply said “Mickey’s!” and that it was my treat!

Naturally, she freaked out, oh, and I don’t think I mentioned, but there was TWO WEEKS until we were leaving!! After a confirmed yes from Paige I went online to book the hotel, and surprise, surprise, the site wasn’t working properly. It wouldn’t get me book a Little Mermaid Room at AoA, it wouldn’t process properly. I took this as a sign, and said to myself “I’ll open up the Lion King Suite in another tab and if it goes through, it goes through! Well, IT WENT THROGUH. COMMENCE THE FREAK OUT WE WERE GONNA STAY IN A SUITE!!

Fast forward to the Friday before we leave, and Steven, a new very good friend from work was asking “when are we gonna go to Disney World together?!” To which my reply was “What’re you doing on Sunday?...”

And there ya have it! We were headed to Disney World!!

Sunday October 27 to Wednseday October 30th!

Staying at: Art Of Animation, in a Lion King Suite!

With: a two day Park Hopper, and Two days of MNSSHP!! We quickly threw together costumes and a quick Disneybound or two for the few days we were there, and I threw down the plans! I ALSO got the lovely email saying that WE WERE GETTING MAGIC BANDS! Up until this point, I’d been pretty anti-magic band, but it was something exciting and I was up for the challenge!

You ready??

We sure are!!!

Yeah, me again. :wave2:

God this trip still blows my mind. "Wanna go to a Halloween Party Out of town???", lol.

Ahh I wish I could pack up and do a trip AND gather a crew that quickly. But I know it's gonna be a good one! Happy ME pictures do not lie.

I definitely plan to apply, no worries on that front! I just have to finish my degree first...a year and a couple of moths to go. Great start on the October TR! Wish I could be so spontaneous! :thumbsup2

Oh man, I wish I could do something that spontanious. If I went on all the Disney trips I plan in my head I think I would be there always!

I can't wait to read all about this one!
