Thank you! I mean really, I know it's a great idea, but some more peer pressure certainly validates it even more! I like the photos I've seen of the new BC rooms, but I am sad that I couldn't get the rundisney discount at YC. I'd have liked to stay in those rooms once more before they remodeled. My first YC stay I had a water view on the first floor looking at the boat dock. I was there for the 5k, but I was able to see the wine & dine half runners run right past my room, which is exactly what made me want to run distance. It is all thanks to the YC!!
I had 1 queen bed and a curtain separating the bed from the couch area. It was a perfect room for a solo. Anyone know if BC also has a similar set up??[/QUOTE]
Not sure if there is a similar set up at BC- There may be some king bed rooms like that. I think that might be the best way to try to request a room like that. "Solo traveler. Only one bed required"
We plan on taking the bus to MK even though we will be driving down from Ohio. Looks like the most efficient way to make an early morning ADR at Crystal Palace. Best thing about BC is not even having to worry about buses for Epcot and HS...and we have our car for AK, water parks, DTD. All the info on the buses has been great! Thanks everyone!!
One question: if you take the monorail back to Epcot from MK and Epcot is closed you can't walk to BC from the monorail exit, right? Guess you'd have to ride a bus then....
We took the monorail from MK to Epcot when Epcot had closed and they let us walk through the park to get to the BC, but that was years ago. I don't know if they will still let you walk through.
That is a good question. I think whether you would be permitted to walk through would be based on the CMs who were working that night. I wouldn't want to count on it since there are no buses that run from the front of EP to the Beach Club, so you could be stuck taking a taxi if you got there after EPCOT closes.
I'll be at the Beach Club May 14-20, 2015 for my first solo trip. I'm very excited!!
I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1.
I posted this on another forum...so I thought I'd post here too since many have talked about waiting for the discounts.
Here's the details on the VISA cardholders special offer for the summer:

I'm waiting to book air fare in case our dates change for our fall trip....so we're waiting for the NEXT set of promotions....
I have seen conflicting information on complimentary transfer of baggage from Swan/Dolphin to BC/YC. Realizing that the Swan and Dolphin are not Disney properties,
I understand that it's not official policy. Has anyone had any experience of it being done as a courtesy?
What about bringing a small rollaboard bag on the boat between the resorts?
I have heard you can't bring luggage onto the boats or buses. I am not positive about a small rolling bag, but I don't think they are allowed at the parks either (are they?). If not, then they probably can't be brought aboard.
I have had my bags transferred from the Dolphin to the Boardwalk at least twice and also done the reverse from Beach Club over to the Dolphin. IME they do transfer luggage between the Disney resorts and the Swan & Dolphin.
It can take all day however so plan accordingly!
Thanks for posting this info!
I can't remember if you have posted here before, but just in case you haven't
Only on page 71. At the rate I am reading this thread, I will never catch up! Think I need to put it in high gear.
Blah, Blah, Blah- when will the BC renovations be done?
We don't know.
There! You are caught up.

So...very happy belated birthday Dee.
Thank you so much. This one was one of those pesky milestone ones.
So excited..... We just purchased our flights for our October Beach Club stay!! I think we got a pretty good deal
. Only 209 more days to go.
Great news!
Update: I just booked the Yacht Club for 07/27/15. Please add me to the Be Our Guest list. I'm only staying one night, because after that I switch to a hotel near the Orange County Convention Center to volunteer at Geekycon (formerly known as Leakycon).
Natebenma, thank you SOOOOO much for mentioning the discount. If I had waited, I might have been out of luck. BCV is sold out for that night, and all they had for Beach Club was club level, which is out of my price range.
I am so glad you saw the message and you were able to get a deal!
I'll add you to the list.
I think I have your email address kicking around- you will have to fill me in on Geekycon! Is it all
or is there other stuff too?
Just witnessed my first pool hoppers near the gateway at Hurricane Hanna's. The adult male was a YC/BC guest who wanted to bring friends to the pool. The young woman at the gate was pleasant but firm and the guy was starting to get rude. I had to chime in and say that they make it pretty obvious that the pool is guest only.... I just couldn't help myself, Lol! I felt so sorry for that poor young woman but she handled herself really well.
We are packing (sadly) before heading off to O'hana for a last night dinner and a few last hours at MK. I. DON'T. WANT. TO. LEAVE........EVER!
Thanks for sharing that story. I can't believe people are still attempting to pool hop at SAB!
So glad you enjoyed your stay and thanks for taking us along.
So I switched to BC mainly to be closer to Studios for SWW but following along I am getting very excited for the resort too!! Glad I built in the resort change day as a down day so we can explore the resort
