2015 FREE DINING THREAD _ All Questions HERE!!

POP standard and preferred open 11/14-11/22, we've had standard here since the morning of release.... I've been eyeing a moderate just to see what the price difference would be... Since I upgraded dining. Still no luck with moderates for that week. So glad everyone is getting what they've needed!!!

I hope my stubborness of being determined to stay at POR for my week will bring me a room only Discount.
Seriously the temptation to switch over to POP or another Mod for FD but I know the kind of vacation options I want this time....can't do it.

I really think Disney doesn't release everything at once. That's a long window of a promotion to have everything sell out in the first couple days. I'm sure there are some that look for a specific arrangement the first days but once they get what they want, they decide to stay. OR they just don't bother to go back and look for other options. So the trickle of other releases gives the determined people the option to move around and then they get a feel for the real reality. LOL Ya I'm way over thinking this.

Anyway, this also is probably why they hold off on RO discounts. Cause they don't really know which resorts will have what % of rooms for RO.
Well that's what I'm telling myself anyway.

I mean to the vacationer the FD can be a better deal out of your pocket, but I can't help but wonder the profits on both.

Oh well doesn't matter. What matters is a vacation that is magical.

my pathology report came back today and I am cancer free and I got the CRT reservation I had been looking for! It's a good day!!

Thanks for all of the well wishes everyone! On a side note here, I just checked my flight that is booked with Southwest and the price went down for our return flight. I know you don't get a refund but, you do get a credit for the difference. DH and I are both getting $50.99 each. If you have booked Southwest go and see if your prices went down and grab that credit if they did!

Persistence people - it pays! Went online today and saw under the FD special offer that Pop had stnd rooms available (I had preferred pool booked) and then I noticed CB had standard rooms with FD available. Because I have 2 rooms/2 reservations I was afraid to try to switch one and then not be able to go and switch the other so I quickly called. I was able to modify from Pop preferred pool 2 rooms/w FD (had upgraded from QS to regular) to CB which comes with regular free dining, 2 standard rooms with request for connecting for roughly $120 more. If I had not been able to upgrade to CB I would have tried for standard rooms at Pop to save a few bucks. I am thrilled!!!! My husband will do so much better with a queen bed versus a double and I am so excited for my kids to see the resort and pool. YAY YAY YAY - this was the hotel I wanted from the beginning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I win!!! Previously I could only book for 2 nights longer than our desired stay at CBR (king bed 9/24-9/30 but we wanted standard 9/24-9/28) and low and behold, it opened up today. Called and booked. Woop Woop! I am actually booking for friends meeting us down there but I was worried she would miss out if availability opened up since she is much busier than I am. Thank goodness we booked bounceback last year for ourselves although the stress of finding our friends rooms was just as bad as if it were mine

I'm goin' to Disney! With friends!

Dying here, just found free dining for the dates I have been looking for. I am booked with a TA with a lot of money down. I left her a message and emailed her but being Saturday who knows when she will get my messages. Should I just book it myself and transfer it to her later? Is that rude?

I'm so jealous. I've been stalking for CBR to open up standard or water view but nothing. I did see preferred pop up this morning, but we have 2 rooms, so it would add $800

TONS of availability opened up! Our week 9/27-10/03 had NOTHING for days and now the rest of my group was able to secure FD!!

Ok so I booked free dining at CBR for 11/10-11/17, soooo excited. I already have pop booked with my TA with a lot of money down. I was afraid she would not get my messages in time to grab it for me. Hoping someone will tell me this won't be too much of a pain for her to cancel my old, move my new one to her, and transfer the money over.

Well if it wasn't for the close to $1200 savings, it wouldn't be worth it but i am back to my original resort we wanted when free dining came out. Only downfall was we had to go from AKL to CBR but money really does matter in the whole situation. Now i just hope not to regret my decision later on.

So here's how I think of it. If you were checking in to AKL , and a someone walked up to you with $1200 and said "I will give you this money to stay at Caribbean Beach". Would you take it?
I just felt winth a similar dilemma with the Poly.

I helped my friend book POP for 11/14-11/21/15 on April 27th. end of that week her SIL decided they want to go too, no Values were available. Last Thursday ASmu had rooms for those dates and today POP, ASmu, ASsp all have FD rooms. My friends SIL is on the phone with Disney now booking the FD deal. sure seems like more rooms were released for FD.

Yay!!!! I finally got it! I hadn't checked since last night until right now because I felt like I was making myself crazy! I'm so glad I didn't miss it! Just saved $456 downgrading from Pirate water view to standard at CBR! Good luck to everyone still waiting!

My vote is for CBR. We stayed at POFQ for one night is all though. I don't think DH ever wants to stay anywhere except CBR ever again. lol It really is awesome there! DH loves the beach and DS fell in love with the pool. You will have a blast no matter where you stay though. It's all in personal preference. Yea for your mom!!!

We got it!!! CBR 10/31-11/8!!!! I can't believe it, been refreshing the iPad so much that when it actually appeared I thought I had lost my mind! Only preferred was available, but trading in our 2 standard pool view rooms at POP (and our upgraded TS dining plan) will save us $550!!! I'll keep checking for a standard room, but I am so happy I might just leave it all alone for awhile

Same here. I've been checking several times a day since I booked FD, never any CBR rooms available for anytime around my dates in Nov. When I just looked now I thought I must've done something wrong since standard and other rooms were showing available for different dates all week. I was able to change my dates back to what I wanted originally (had to change for FD) and dropped to a standard view for $400 less. Woo-hoo!

Got what I've been waiting for, AofA Cars Suite 15th to the 21st! I learned from experience not to wait for my TA, so I booked a new one and will be canceling the res with her if she doesn't get to adding it before it sells out again. Such a shame that Disney makes it so hard for TA's.
