“Dreams Come True Momma!” A 2 year old’s first trip ~ May 2015~Complete {NEW TR LINK!}

Alright, I am trying to work on our plans for our trip in March and need some help.

DH and I have got 2 of our 3 fps locked down and decided but are having trouble deciding on the third. For an extra bonus point....

Peter Pan , Pirates , or Haunted Mansion.

PP or HM. Pirates has never seemed to have much of a line unless you are trying to ride at noon or something.

You can wait for Pirates. Sometimes there's no line at all.
HM is a fast loader. Same there.

Or.... you can wait for 90+ minutes at PP.

That's funny that Little Miss like Beverly. With taste buds like that, time to push all the veggies!

I love eating around the world at Food and Wine Festival. The spring one looks pretty good, too.

I'll guess Magic Kingdom with an arrival of 7:45 and Buzz as your first ride.

Go with Peter Pan for the spring trip. You shouldn't have to wait as long for the other two.

While we were in line the nice couple behind us gave Little Miss a cute little dinosaur that was great for keeping her entertained in line throughout our morning. Such a small little gesture but it meant a lot to Little Miss.
Aw, nice bit of pixie dust!

From there we headed into Frontierland for a meet and greet with Chip and Dale.
Super cute meet! They sure know how to win over the toddlers, it seems.

While we were on it we saw that Stitch was just starting to meet and had an empty line. He must have heard DH and I tell Little Miss because he looked up to us and waved and blew Little Miss a kiss.
So sweet! :stitch:

The Manager explained that the tracking for the buses only tracks whether a bus gets sent to POR not whether it makes it to all of the depots. When the bus gets full and skips the south depot the bus drivers don’t call in that they had to skip a stop and they don’t send another bus to finish the route. So in good faith for us the manager gave us Taxi vouchers to Magic Kingdom for every trip there we planned on going. DH forgot about our nap so only got enough for one round trip. While it was nice of them to do that and solved our issues for the short term it certainly didn’t put faith in them fixing the issue in the long term. Also with the RFID technology present in the magic bands there really is no excuse for this to be an issue. It left DH and I seriously considering if it was worth it to stay on property when one of the biggest perks to do can’t be trusted for its reliability. And while we love POR as a resort this issue made us doubt whether we would ever want to bother staying there again.
Hmmm, good to know!

However, when she tried it she ended up nonchalantly drinking the whole thing! :rolleyes2 (Only my kid! :rotfl2:)
:rotfl:

My main item here I was excited to try was the Frushi. I had heard so much about it I was very excited to try it. I ended up a tad disappointed. We found that it lacked in a whole lot of flavor.
I guess it helped that I didn't really have any expectations for it, so it was fairly enjoyable. Not like my favorite thing ever, but good enough.

Gorgeous photo!

Looks like she's not too broken up about missing out on Soarin'. :thumbsup2

Where do we go in the morning?

What time do we get there?

What’s our first ride?
MK, 7:30am, Buzz

I always choose Peter Pan (which is why I still have not seen the "new" queue).

Yea... Rapid Fire Updates! :)

This t-shirt that your DH has on -- Indiana Jones meets Han Solo in carbonite -- is totally awesome! MY DH's birthday is next month and he would absolute love this ... do you recall where you guys picked it up?

I've fallen a tad behind, but first wanted to say a big CONGRATULATIONS! for the new home and just having that finally get settled. I think my New Year's resolution is to view things that if they work out perfectly it is boring, so just hoping for a wonderfully imperfect year! (though even trying to think positively doesn't make it easier when your little one is upset about the situation)

We had the same thing on Buzz with my little guy controlling the spinning. I like that because it is a good excuse for not getting a higher score ;)

That really stinks about the bus situation and their answer. I get it that buses get full, but shouldn't they then adjust and send more buses and have the next one start at the first stop the last buss didn't get to? Doesn't make sense that the same bus stop (the South) would constantly get passed over if there are high crowds

That's funny how Little Miss didn't mind the Beverly! Love all your snacking around The World - I love burnt ends in general and have read nothing but amazing things about that burnt ends hash ... making me want to visit during Food and Flower Festival just to try that!

Hope you had a wonderful holiday despite all the stress and it was just the first of many, many wonderful memories in the new house!

Oh, and normally I'd say to get the FP for PP, but I know that cuts off the new queue, so if you haven't seen that yet you might want to go through the queue. Of the other two, I'd think HM is more likely to have a longer line, so would pick that

3rd FP should always be Peter Pan.

Although, really with any of these 3 you should be able to pick them up as your 4th.

I'm with the rest...Peter Pan...the others are much faster loaders...and fun queues...although I have not seen the new stand by one for PP and heard it is a lot of fun...

It is. Got there early with little wait. Fun to go through. Especially for little ones. They have one spot where they sprinkle you with pixie dust. Kids love it.

:thanks:We are loving the new house and neighborhood. The streets are perfect for walking (Something I have been trying to get myself motivated to do for a while now.) Little MIss already has a new friend (We met when we went to look at the house and found out last night that it turns out that they are just as excited to have us on the street as we were to have them!) We have been feeling very blessed.

:rotfl2: I may have done the same while down there! :rolleyes1:rotfl2::thumbsup2

I'm just surprised that they don't have a policy to have a bus call in when they can't finish the route.

I'm not sure it would be worth a special trip, but it was rather tasty!

Hope you had a wonderful holiday despite all the stress and it was just the first of many, many wonderful memories in the new house!
The timing ended up working perfect. and it also turned out that our first really meal prepared at the new house was christmas dinner.

Be on the lookout, more speed round updates this week.

All Aboard! (5/14/15 Part 1)

We decided to sleep in this morning and leisurely got ourselves to the park at about 10am. Thanks to the vouchers the Manager had given us we didn’t have to bother with the bus rigmarole and we were able to take a taxi instead.

As we were going through bag check it quickly became apparent that today would be different than the days past and that it looked as if the School Groups had descended out of nowhere. :crazy2: And while it definitely added to the crowd level we never did feel we had much issue with them.

Our first stop once we were in the park was to ride the one thing that we kept meaning to ride all week but had yet to do, the train! We had an early lunch ADR so we rode it around to the Storybook Circus Stop and got off.

We enjoyed our ride. I never realized that you get a short glimpse of Splash Mountain as you pass by. It was a neat little surprise.

Once we got off we pulled over to the side to help Little Miss into her Princess Dress. We would need it for where we were off to next.

Fasten your seatbelts folks!

Thanks to the vouchers the Manager had given us we didn’t have to bother with the bus rigmarole and we were able to take a taxi instead.

Where does the cab take you? Right to MK? Or the TTC?

As we were going through bag check it quickly became apparent that today would be different than the days past and that it looked as if the School Groups had descended out of nowhere. :crazy2: And while it definitely added to the crowd level we never did feel we had much issue with them.

Phew!

Our first stop once we were in the park was to ride the one thing that we kept meaning to ride all week but had yet to do, the train!

Great minds think alike.

We had an early lunch ADR so we rode it around to the Storybook Circus Stop and got off.

Went a little farther than we did, though.

I didn't know that it went so close to BTMRR!

We enjoyed our ride. I never realized that you get a short glimpse of Splash Mountain as you pass by.

Forgot about that.

I think you missed my guess posted last week.

The train ride can be so relaxing. I always wonder why we don't do it more often.

Enchanted Tales with Belle with lunch at Be Our Guest afterward.

Fasten your seatbelts folks!
::yes:::drive:

Well if you ask them too they will drop you at the COntemporary. Just tell them that you want the walk way to MK instead of the front entrance.

::yes::

Neither did I!

Forgot about that.
Glad I wasn't the only one then! :thumbsup2

What @pkondz no comment on your surge to the top 3 on the leader board? :rotfl:

I think you missed my guess posted last week.
:scratchin Possible. Do me a favor and quote it for me and I'll get you the correct amount of points.

The train ride can be so relaxing. I always wonder why we don't do it more often.
It was a nice way to get back there for sure. Took forever though! :rotfl: Its definitely for a time when you don't need to rush.

Enchanted Tales with Belle with lunch at Be Our Guest afterward.
:rolleyes1

I've never quoted anything, so I hope I'm doing this right.

That's funny that Little Miss like Beverly. With taste buds like that, time to push all the veggies!

I'll guess Magic Kingdom with an arrival of 7:45 and Buzz as your first ride.

Go with Peter Pan for the spring trip. You shouldn't have to wait as long for the other two.

What I'll do for two points!!!

I really enjoy taking the train. We often just pass it by and end up taking it back to the front from Frontier land if we are going to be heading out. Or over to Fantasy Land. One day I really want to take it from the front back to the front. But I know that will probably not happen.

I would have guessed Enchanted Tales with Belle and Be Our Guest, but someone already did. I'll be faster next time.
