I currently have a reservation under myself and one under my sister her reservation I linked hers to my Disney experience so if it's possible to change/modify does she need her own Disney account or will they all be changed with modify/change button if and when free dining comes out ? New to this

Ok, too much breaking down & guesstimating for this old brain. Thanks anyway

Thank you. This is what 4 hours of broken sleep does. I'm like I know it I just can't get to it in this brain.

So of course, since I'm brain dead I passed some time creating a spreadsheet. I'm sure everyone has already worked their numbers but if anyone needs to do any comparisons I got a cool sheet going. Still testing it so anyone want to practice? lol.

I would love to try it

No Christmas concert, but they do a little class party. (Which is a plus in terms of missing school days since it's a virtually useless day.)

I prefer the earlier dates because it's cheaper and sounds more peaceful from what I see on the crowd calendars, but I do feel anxious pulling her out for 5 days. We tried to plan so it would be 2 days one week and 3 the next vs. one solid school week, but I'm worried the teacher will be upset and judgy over it. I'm not worried about her being behind though. GAH.
Have you talked with the school? We pulled DD in kindergarten over Halloween for Disney and she missed 4 or 5 days. Her teacher was fine with it. We are planning on doing the same thing this fall (second grade) and I plan to talk with her teacher about it ahead of time and come up with a plan for make up work if needed. Also check your school attendance policies to be safe.

It doesn't bother me in elementary school as long as my kids are doing well. I am not about those crowds at peak time. Yes it's Disney, no it's not an educational trip backpacking through Europe, but is quality family time and absolutely worth it for me. Middle and high school may be a different story, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there!

We are pulling our daughter out in Nov to go and she'll be in 6th grade. They can judge all they want- it's really not up to them- it's your kid!! :hyper:Also she's a straight A student so that's a factor. If she struggled I probably wouldn't take her out.

We are going in august, and so I did all of my reservations 2 months ago, got everything we wanted for 7 people. My mom calls us last week and says that she and my dad might want to come with us! :D They decided this weekend that they definitely want to go. My dad went once with my little brother and I think they took my older brothers in the 70s, but my mom hasn't been since. I hope they have so much fun with us. My dad can walk ok, but definitely cannot walk all day. i think we are considering a scooter. Never done that before, so that'll be something new to learn! I've set up their room and the got sent over to dining reservations to try to get everything changed from 7 to 9. So much for making early reservations. haha. We actually got most of them switched easily. Just a couple I'm now going to have to hunt for. fun times.

We pulled the kids out of school last year (pre-k and kindergarten) for four or five days to go and the teachers were fine by I got a nasty-gram from the principal about "excessive unexcused absences". I told her to shove it. I'm their mother. If I say it's excused, it's excused. They're not skipping classes in high school.

Edit to add: and our dates for this coming trip are at the end of September, so they'll be missing again. We make wonderful memories on our family trips to Disney. Missing a few days of organized coloring is well worth it.

When are you traveling?how many PH plus days do you have?Dont forget to add cost of OOP food

We're Canadian. That cost includes the dining plan. Summer room discount, Cdn tickets and regular dining plan is around $5400.

With FD, we'd have to have rack rate room cost and full price tickets with PH (that's an extra $389) to get it. Cost for the same resort is coming in at $5800.

we stayed at CBR last september and did not have a murphy bed. we didn't need one so i didn't ask the front desk but i thought i had read before we arrived that the rooms had them.
