Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

I hope not too soon. We booked specifically to be able to walk to Epcot.
Us too! We love the convenience of the resorts to Epcot and DHS and we love that early morning peaceful walk accompanied by the squirrels and bunnies scurrying around whilst the ducks waddle past us. We too booked a garden view room specifically to watch the beautiful grounds and wildlife and for their closer proximity to the path to IG. Not wanting to experience the nightmares of Disney Construction zones again we chose our resort with care. I hope this wasn't a bad decision after all. We love the area but don't want our stay significantly impacted by more long term work. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that our stay is magical and praying to all the gods to keep any work back until after new year.... well after:crazy:

Not to disappoint, but to help with expectations --- the area near the IG where the Gondolas are being built is already behind construction walls.

April 2018 at Beach Club! We're so excited! Love the Boardwalk area, especially the restaurants, entertainment and proximity to Epcot!

Hoping to book at the BC for May next year, If we want to be on the ground floor next to lobby and transportation how lucky will we be in requesting this? :listen:

There is absolutely no way of knowing this or putting a percentage on it. Make the request, and when you arrive, before they assign you a room, ask if your request has been met. If not...politely ask if there's anything they can do to meet the request. Unfortunately, that's all you can do. From prior experience, the less requests you make, the better your chances of getting them met. The lobby and being close to transportation are synonymous. I'd decide what's more important....a 1st floor room, or being close to the lobby.....place your requests in order of importance.

Any reports from recent stays at Beach Club concerning noise from the gondola construction?

Anybody here have experience with buses to Typhoon Lagoon. Do they still share with Disney Springs? If so, do you go from BC to typhoon or BC to disney springs then typhoon? Im thinking it may be best to just uber.

I don't remember from last yr, but I do remember it took forever. We were like sardines. I plan on using uber to get back this year.

Have a wonderful trip and I am sorry about your son's diagnosis. I traveled with another family whose DS was dx'd at 7 yo with T1D. He was about 11 yo when we traveled. He had a pump, so no needles or extra vials were carried in the parks. The web is FULL of resources on how to have fun at WDW w/Diabetes. Put T1D on your ADR's. I believe that there was an app that my friend used to assist her son with meals. All the best!! XOXO
Thank you! I will check into that.

Safeway has a current promo thru 8/19/17 for $20 off first delivery order (minimum order of $49) and free delivery. Their pricing is competitive.

Thanks for this info! I'll add it to my grocery delivery post on Page 1.

I love learning about all of the different options for stocking up our Disney rooms. I also love hearing about ways for guests to save $$$ doing it!

Can someone provide me with a picture of the safes from a newly refurbed YC room?

Outside and inside would be great, bonus points if there are items in the safe to demonstrate the size.

Post here or email me at beachclubdee at yahoo.

:thanks:

That iron and ironing board seem to be taking up a lot of space. (In the photo above the safe.) I wonder how many people iron when they're on vacation. If they made it "iron and ironing board available on request" I wonder how much employee time would be involved in bringing those items to the guests who need them.

LOL - I actually used the iron and ironing board! I found the set-up to be quite nice and easy to use.

I was worried about the high beds and no carpet ( I'm 5'3") but it's not a problem at all. The resort is nice and quiet and has become our favorite Epcot area resort. Also had dinner at The Yachtsman last night and it was wonderful! Our Beach Club room in January was rather worn and only had a small balcony so I will definitely go YC in the future. Sorry the rooms a bit disheveled in the pics.

Is this a waterview room?

Not sure if you are still on your trip or not. When you are back home, if you could add your pictures and room description to the Yacht Club View Thread, I would appreciate it!
