New "My Cruise Activities" Page

DCL has updated the My Cruise Activities page. It looks to provide a little more detail about each day, but I don't see the ability to search for availability of events that happen on multiple days during the cruise (e.g., Palo brunch, meet and greets, beverage tasting). I can only search day by day. Has anyone figured out how to conduct a broader search over the entire sailing? Thanks.

Funny I was looking at it yesterday and it still had the old style activities page, but admittedly that was from my phone. Today is the new style and you are right I can't see anyway to search all days of the cruise, which is annoying.

I also don't see a way to look for other available times for activities I already have booked. For example, I've got brunch booked but have been looking for a different day. From what I can tell, there's no way to do that without canceling the reservation I have :badpc:.

I had better luck with Firefox than with Internet Explorer -- but I still could not find a way to search across the length on the cruise, I could only look at one day at a time. I was, however, able to see brunch availabilities on at sea days other than the one I have scheduled. It seems they are still debugging the new look - the picture accompanying our meet-and-greet with the Princesses was the SWDAS logo???

i cant even navigate through the different days.. i miss the complete top header with the date and arrows, regardless from which device I log on...

On IE I was only able to see the first day, or every day. I could not navigate to the second day, etc. In Firefox, I could see navigation arrows on either side of the ship image when I was looking at the single day view. I admit, I am a dinosaur and fear change...I prefer the older version.

I'm not a huge fan at this point. Our activities have closed since we leave Saturday (woo hoo!!), so I'm hoping the kinks have been worked out before our next sailing in April.

So far, I'm not exactly enthusiastic about the change. There is one that I would have liked to have seen incorporated, but I guess they don't know how to program it.

Since they only allow you to book one Palo Brunch at a time, they pretty much make you take a leap of faith if you want to change a date/time you already booked. They will tell you that there is a spot available on a day (days that are sold out will simply say SOLD OUT), but not how many seats are available, what time, etc. until you cancel the spot you already have reserved. Meanwhile, if you do cancel your previous spot and you find that the time available doesn't work, it's only good for 3 people instead of 4, etc. you have to scramble back to your original date and try and rebook the spot you just freed up - that's if someone didn't just scoop it up while you were looking at the new date/time!

They should have it where you can see/preview the other date/time slots and if you choose one it will say: "You already have Palo Brunch booked for XX/XX at YY:YY. If you would like to book this new date/time, your previous reservation will be cancelled."

I don't like this new format either. To see a different day, if you hold the cursor over the date shown and click on it, it will bring up a calendar that you can then click on the date that you are interested in. Not the best, but at from there you can add/change your activities.

Hope that helps.

Yes, I agree, I am not keen on that. What I don't understand is that it was an option on the previous design, so why has the coding not been implemented again in the new design? Did they change the background programming language and thus have to recode those options back in?

I like that they added the 'See Your Full Itinerary' option, as that was missing before (esp for us as we don't always get cruise docs in time) but losing the ability to search multiple days at once and the ability to test and trade bookings makes it a very displeasing transition to a new design. They should 'enhance' with a new design, not take away. Hopefully those features will return over time.

Nope I don't have that header at all, it's blank (bleu), no date, no calendar, no arrow....
I was on the phone with DCL for an hour yesterday and they had to escalate to IT cause they don't know what the problem is.
I tried laptop, desktop, phone, tablet and tried IE,chrome, safari and firefox.... all with the same result...

We are on the 12/30 Fantasy Eastern and I can see things I've booked but can't book or see anything else- get a page that says 'we're working on it'. Not sure if it's bcs of the transition to the new format or if they are moving us to a western or what.

I mainly log in from my phone (iPhone) have had no problems. I log in and select My Disney Cruise. It pulls up the main page with the basic info. I then can select Book Now under My Activites and it shows Day 1 with current Sail Away activites listed. Under that, there is an area that lists Port Adventures, Adult Dining, Spa & Fitness, and OnBoard Fun. I've had no issues looking at my current Palo reservation, excursion bookings, or beverage tastings. I use the arrows at the top to change the days of the cruise and am able to see other options for activities and excursions and what has sold out.
Not sure what it looks like from my Mac bc I haven't had any issues from my phone.
I wonder why there is such an inconsistency with different browsers and devices accessing the page?:confused3

Can't you book more than one Palo brunch if you want to? I can't understand why they would only allow you to book one. Weird...

I thought you could never book more than one online in advance. And one dinner (unless you did that first night thing they were trying out). You've always had to try to score second or more reservations on the ship.

Brunch is only on sea days, and generally there are not many of those. I guess limiting it to one booking per cruise helps spread the availability around so that the most people possible can get a reservation if they wish? Kind of makes sense, in the same way that meet and greets are ticketed once per cruise. That way, the majority of those who want to do it, can do it.

oh, I'm OK with it and the practices makes it sound fair to everyone. I just figured if people wanted to spend more money on extra activities, that's their choice LOL

.. which is exactly how it used to be, I also dislike the change that you have to cancel 1st before you can even attempt to change
