I hope you didn't misinterpret my post. (I'm sorry if I confused you!) You ARE allowed to use both pools as long as you are a registered WL guest!

It's the same at AKL: regular resort guests and DVC guests are allowed to use all the facilities on-property! ;) It's all good!

Your MagicBand will open that quiet pool gate! :thumbsup2

YIPPIE!!!! that's great news!! and PHEW!! our boys are 19 and 16 so it's nice to know we can chose a pool to splash around in!

thanks!

I agree that is great news! The new DVC pools looks nice and we're looking forward to trying it out in August :)

If a guest on WL property, DVC or not, your MB should enable entrance to the quiet pool. It did for us in August (we were staying in the resort rooms) and I haven’t heard that that has changed. My DD works at WL so I will double-check with her and post again if I get any new information! ;)
Thanks. That’s the way it was before, but with new pool gated with MB access I wondered if something changed. I was surprised to see the quiet pool locked, as they didn’t do this to main pool when they gated it. They should have especially since it’s a small pool, doesn’t need pool hoppers.

I’m aware of the downsizing of the bunk bed rooms, and we’ve easily booked a bunk bed room twice since the renovation of the south wing began. But I’ve been searching for ANY date next year and can’t find a single date that one is available. I was just curious if there was something other than popularity of the rooms causing their unavailability. I even tried for the lastest date in the booking window and ...nothing. It’s a little frustrating. After staying in bunk bed room for 10 years, I can’t imagine a room without it.
There are standard view rooms that have bunk beds but they are by request only. They made all the woods view rooms into standard view and when they did that they eliminated the bunk bed category from the former woods view rooms but didn’t remove the bunk beds. So there are still as many bunk beds in the north wing of the WL but the only ones you can book are the courtyard bunk bed rooms.

According to DD, "technically" the quiet pool is the DVC pool, however, any registered WL guest is welcome to use it!

Personally, I think that's exactly why they have that one gated. They want to make sure anyone using it is staying at WL! The main pool is easier to "police" for those who don't belong! ;)

Even better since we're staying at BR for the first time in June!! So excited I can't stand it!!

Hey All

Two adults here. We originally were going for the beach club this summer but it’s sold out on the villa studios.

We stayed at animal kingdom lodge two years ago

We decided and booked copper creek villa studio instead since they had availability with walk in shower.

Is this place amazing and do you guys like the pool?

I heard the studio villas at copper creek are not huge but I don’t remember our Jambi house savannah view room being that huge either but it was only two of us

I heard great things about the rehash at copper creek and really hope we made the right decision.

Is it long to get to Epcot? Hope we made the right decision!

Beach club was sold out and we live near jersey so we didn’t want boardwalk cause it would feel we’ve been there lol

It was between copper creek and poly and I just couldn’t justify the extra 500 almost for poly.

Thanks guys !

You are asking people who love the WL and find it amazing. :) We really love the WL. We haven't stayed there since they opened the new villas pool, but it looks great. We absolutely love Geyser Point. It is on the shore of Bay Lake with a wonderful view of the lake. You don't feel like you are in Disney with a view like that. :) The boat to MK is a huge plus to this resort, too. :)

As far as I know, both WL and AKL turned regular resort rooms into DVC villas and studios. And I think resort rooms at WL and AKL were about the same size. Therefore, I would think that the WL studios are about the same size as the studios at Jambo House.

The bus to Epcot takes about 20 minutes. We prefer it to the monorail to Epcot that you have to take when staying at the Poly. It isn't the monorail ride to Epcot that we dislike as much as the monorail back to the Poly at the end of the day. That line gets huge. We go to Epcot frequently when staying at the WL and the buses have never been a problem for us.

Thanks for the help and responses. Its a big help. As 2 adults with no children, this seems like a nice place to unwind at when the park days are over. Seems like a nice and welcoming place at the end of the night

Do any Copper Creek studios have enclosed balconies? I don't want those. Anyone also have a photo of it?

Is there a floor I could request that does not have that. I would love an open balcony.

Thanks

We are going in 30 days to WL as a couple for the first time without children. After staying at many of the other Disney properties with the children, we are looking forward to WL as a place for two adults to unwind after a day at the parks.

The top floors of each section have the enclosed balconies. Floors 1 through 5 have open balconies. :)

Make sure you spend some time at the geyser point bar

Went last March, wife and I without kids, had a great time although took a little while to get used to not having kids there with us

We checked into WL the Saturday after Thanksgiving & stayed for a week. We had wanted to stay there for several years and knew we would love it (especially having read these pages for months in advance of our stay!). What we didn't bank on was how much we would fall in love with the resort from the moment we arrived on Timberline Drive! We LOVED everything ... the fabulous smell upon entering the lobby, the breathtaking lobby, the relaxed atmosphere, the music, the decor, the CMs, the pools, Geyser Point and especially the magical boat ride to and from MK. I used the Touring Plans room reservation tool and got the exact room we requested (7044) so a big shout out to them. Our room faced the MK and the view was the stuff of dreams ... especially at fireworks time! Our 4 and 6 year old kids told us every day that it was the 'best day ever' :) We definitely found our WDW home to such an extent that we became new DVC owners at Copper Creek (the only thing that stopped serious sobbing upon leaving was knowing we are going back!). We still have a serious case of withdrawal symptoms which is why I can't stop reading this thread. We've already booked to go back the same week next year and until then I'm buying red-and-black-buffalo-check-everything in the after-Christmas sales so we can try and decorate like WL next year (Mr Fett's patience is wearing a little thin on this one), plus drinking coffee from my WL mug helps too ...

Thanks to everyone here for the awesome tips & advice before our trip! :worship:

Happy New Year when it comes and Happy Planning everyone!!

Did you happen to eat there for breakfast? That's when we plan on eating there.

We have 8:15am appointment for the Keys to the Kingdom tour so we'll need to eat quick and run!

Sorry, I only just spotted this!
We didn't eat breakfast at RF as we tended to make breakfast in the villa before heading to the parks. That said, we did see that breakfast was available at both RF and Geyser Point will both hot food and grab and go items available. To be honest, I think you'll find that most Disney food court breakfasts are pretty similar with perhaps the odd unique item.
Hope you have a great trip!

Can someone who has stayed at a copper creek villa studio tell me if they felt the room was to small?

Its just me and one other person going.

I am still knocking my head around keeping my copper creek villa reservation or wait listing beach club. Ay yi yi

Just posted in the CL thread. Just wanted to update for those looking to upgrade to CL rooms in April they might be available now. I had a posted a month or two ago that it was strange there was no CL availability for April and May, but peak times around Easter and Feb vacation were available. Someone else posted that a CM said a renovation might be happening during those months. I just happened to check this morning and availability was there for 4/11-4/16 the days I was looking for. My agent had said she just checked yesterday and there was nothing. So most have just happened. Anyway, hope this helps anyone looking to book CL in April.

We spent 3 nights in a CCV studio with shower. Two adults, and we kept the sofa bed out and made up the entire time. Plenty of room and we loved the room. .

Well with the entire South wing being converted to DVC Villas, the number of bunk bed rooms was cut in half.

I feel like I should know the answer to this, but are any of the Boulder Ridge 1 bedrooms equipped with bunk beds? If so, can they be requested, or are they all pull out couch/pull down beds?
