A little off topic, but I always wonder how owners get into point situations such as this. Is this just a result of poor understanding of how to use points? Meaning how does somebody bank their 2016 points into 2017 and then use all of their 2017 and most of their 2019 points without ensuring that those 2016 banked points were used first?

My AKV contract was an example of messed up points last year.
I’d booked our 12/17 stay right at 11 months using current and borrowed points. Then the VGF contract I’d been waiting for - correct use year, points, price - was listed and I bought it. Once the VGF points were mine at about 8 months out I switched the last 4 days of my AKV stay over to VGF and called to cancel the corresponding AKV days. I had them use the borrowed 2018 points for the AKV nights I kept and return the current use year 2017 points to my account for future use. I did it that way so I could bank those 2017 points into 2018 to use for my 12/18 trip. So I ended up with most of my 2017 points and far fewer 2018 points. I chose that option because I knew I could bank those 2017 points into 2018, whereas the borrowed points would have had to be used by the end of the current use year.
It’s all more orderly now, since I’ve used all the AKV points & even borrowed some for my next visit

No, this BC was going to be in addition to our others. We actually just received the closing papers this morning for our poly!

They made a non agreed upon change to the contract that we noticed and pointed out once we received the paperwork. We tried to resolve it, but they weren’t willing to fix it. At that point, the contract was just far too overpriced for market.

Technically the do not disturb lock is only a "thread occupied" sign now and management comes in once a day to check it.
