The ABCs of Another Steppe Into Adventure!- Last Africa Ch. + World Showcase Pt. 2

I was aware of all these but i also put Tabasco in my cocktail sauce.
I'm not big on spicy things, so the ketchup and horseradish (spicy in and of itself) are sufficient for me. ;)

Which is why my standard Burger King order is a Whopper with Cheese, no ketchup or tomatoes and has been for over 30 years. Although I too am starting to lean towards the whopper Jr. as well since my apetite isn't what it used to be.
I was mentioning this more for @Captain_Oblivious since he was complaining about mayo. I was making the point that mayo is in a lot of things. Well, before I lost this weight, I used to order the double whopper, but likely would only be able to handle a whopper jr now myself.

Only small briny oysters. Giant ones make me want to gag! :lmao:
When DW eats raw oysters or clams, I tell her to kiss me before she starts eating because I'm not kissing any slimy stinky lips after. :lmao:

Since you knew all the others, did you know that Caesar dressing has anchovies? I did not until about a year ago and while I hate anchovies alone, Caesar dressing is yummy.

Yes I did. When there was a Napa Rose Cooking School at DCA F&W we actually made Caesar Dressing.

All this arguing about food. I like just about everything mentioned but escargot. I haven't ever tried it but just don't like it on principal, slimy = yuck. :crazy2:

Absolutely! slimy! Like... chicken! Ew! Gross! Can you imagine eating a bird??? Or.. bacon... totally gross. That comes from an animal that likes to wallow in dirty mud! Yuck!

:rolleyes1

3) Let’s see how carefully you were reading: How many items did Steppe buy at Food & Wine?
13
4: Did I find my pin before I left the park?
yes
5) Does Steppe get ill later that night from her debauchery?
absalutely! But so worth it!
6) I got an Instant Pot the other day. What delicious Disney food should I make in it next week? (In case you’re interested in cooking stuff from Disney, did you know A complete list of Disney recipes existed?)
a) Loaded Mac n’ Cheese
b) Le Cellier Cheddar Cheese Soup
c) Raglan Road Bangers n’ Booz
d) Carrot Ginger Soup from Boma
Definately a)Loaded Mac n' Cheese

All you funny people feaking out over your kids learning how to drive a car. I'm just over here freaking out over your Mother flying an aeroplane!! Bwahahahaha!
I'd be freaking out about MY mom flying an airplane too...she's 80.

Not too worried about YOUR mom.
:rotfl2:

Are you trying to bait me?

I just don't do snails. Would it help if I told you I remember eating Spam when I was a child and liking it?

I don't like oysters either, which is unusual for someone from South Louisiana.

Are you trying to bait me?

::yes::

But in a totally friendly, non-judgemental, just having fun way. :)

I ate a fair amount of Spam in Hawaii.... I got home and bought some.
Haven't gotten up the nerve to open the can yet! :lmao:

I'm not a fan either. See? We agree on something.
Although... I had Oysters Rockefeller once and liked that.

(And don't tell anyone... but I really don't care if people like escargot or not. I just like to tease them. ;) mum's the word.)

I don't blame you. I've loved oysters for a long time, but I learned that I'm eather particular about them. The ones i had in New Orleans were were big and chalky and made me gag. I like small ones you can eat in one bite.

Thousand Island = Mayo, Ketchup & relish
French dressing = Mayo & Ketchup
Ranch dressing = Mayo & Milk & ranch dressing mix :lmao:

Along the same lines of something folks may or may not know...
Cocktail sauce = Ketchup & horseradish

I was mentioning this more for @Captain_Oblivious since he was complaining about mayo. I was making the point that mayo is in a lot of things.

Exactly--look at all the stuff they have to add to it in order to make it taste like something! :rotfl2:

Ketchup = food of the gods
Mayo=necessary for potato salad and tuna salad
escargot = gross

Jill in CO

I can get behind that.

Never. I would never mok anyone. Mark might maybe mok, ma’am.

As long as there's no mayo.

Only small briny oysters. Giant ones make me want to gag! :lmao:

Jim Gaffigan again: "Who was the first person to eat an oyster? Hey, I found this rock with snot on it...I think I'll eat it."

Absolutely! slimy! Like... chicken! Ew! Gross! Can you imagine eating a bird??? Or.. bacon... totally gross. That comes from an animal that likes to wallow in dirty mud! Yuck!

Disgusting! I'm sticking with hot dogs and scrapple from now on.

She named her youngest AndrewRebekahMichaelaZacheryAnara....

:rotfl: Funny because it's true.

My thread’s a runaway train; off the rails I tell you!

Please make yourselves at home while I work, sleep, and watch from a safe distance. Your hostess will return after the next ridulously crazy couple of days.

Meanwhile, I need ideas for a big family’s MSSHP costumes. Besides the Incredibles. Because me in tights would be scarier than raw oysters with mayo on them. GO!!!

Hmmm...I'm a big Pixar lover, so I'd want to do Monster's Inc characters, or Inside Out characters. Or Toy Story!!

You could do something with Beauty and the Beast, and base your costumes off the costume design from the recent live action movie.

For non-Disney...
The Addams Family?
Or Wizard of Oz

Hmm...what else...?

Hocus Pocus characters? Though I guess the witches would be distinctive and the other characters not so much...

Steampunk Disney princesses? (Maybe even if gentlemen are joining you? :hyper:)

You could probably get pretty creative costuming the Peter Pan crew.

Jungle Book realistic-ish costumes from the live action film. Or based on the original.

Into the Woods? (Technically I think the live action film was Disney?) Or, on that note, maybe pick a costume design style and try your hand at fairytale characters?

Muppets? :lmao:
