Suggestions on What to Do Evening of Later Flight In?

Going on my third fully solo trip in April (and ive done a couple of trips with solo days and friend days). So not new to the solo experience. However, I normally fly in early. This time around, I land at 7:00pm-ish and judging by the current hours, i won't make it to a park before closing.

I'm wondering what to do that evening that isn't just hanging at the hotel. Im staying all star sports so not exactly a resort i want to "spend time" at. I booked it for a roof over my head! I was thinking disney springs, any suggestions for dining solo there? or do you think the boardwalk is a better option?

disney springs is great for night visits - disney springs is also a lot easier to get back to your hotel from than BW. if you are using WDW transportation.

See if you can get a spot for the Star Wars VR experience at Disney Springs. It might be hard as a solo as I think they need to combine you with another group, but there could be slots. You have to book in advance.

If that doesn't interest you, Disney Springs is still your best bet. Go have a nice, late dinner and enjoy the atmosphere.

Disney Springs because you can stay late and easily get a Disney bus back to your resort. I like Morimoto Asia when I’m solo. The ribs are fantastic!

I did Star Wars VR twice last trip in January! otherwise i totally would. :)

I've never eaten at morimoto but ive heard nothing but wonderful things!

I have the same issue for my solo trip in July. Landing after 7 in the evening. Depending on how tired I am I plan on Disney springs but I plan on rope dropping mk in the morning I might just food court dinner and get some shut eye. Though I'll be in Disney and probably won't want to sleep lol
Morimoto was excellent solo last year, I sat at the bar and the sushi was amazing but expensive.

I live in NYC, so im used to expensive sushi ha!

Yeah I think there's also the realistic bet I'll just be too tired by the time i drop my bags off to want to go to disney springs. That's like, 75% more likely to happen :rotfl2:

I actually JUST discovered Morimoto exists here (Ive lived here my whole life. how did i not know). So i think im going to skip it, just because I can go to the one here. I have been eyeing this amazing canoli shake thats from one of the gelato places. Maybe i skip dinner and go all sugar ha!

Sounds like a good plan. I was thinking of going to (insert food idea here) then heading to the bakery and blaze and get leftover goodies for the hotel room.
By the way, love watching your vlog. It helped me a lot planning my first solo trip last year.

I'm going in May and land 6.25pm. It's a Saturday and I'm expecting the current MK closing of 9pm to change to 11pm or midnight for that day and I fully intend to throw my stuff in the room at POP and make a run for it to MK.

Even if I can only do an hour or so I don't really care, what I really want is to see the Kiss Goodnight and I think that would be my only opportunity on this trip.

If the hours were to stay at 9pm for some reason, then I would head to Disney Springs for some food and a couple of drinks. Splitsville has a nice bar for example, and I love Blaze pizza!

So for solo dining (returning to this thought while planning my next solo trip) I believe The Wave has a counter/bar that's full service that you can eat at. That's been on my list to try for solo dining. If I was going to Disney Springs solo (and I'll want to know what you end up doing because this is something that'll happen when I go alone for a week), I'd want to check out The Edison if you're skipping Morimoto. Raglan Road also seems like a fun solo place to eat, since it seems like a lively place, lol.

I'm intrigued by the Edison, but I've had to turn all the reviews off so far because I just hate the music they play in the background!
