Life After Marathons: A Running/barre3/Coffee/Life Journal

I hate classic syrup. It is way too sweet and some times gives me a headache. I am that annoying person who will ask for my ice tea to be remade if I taste it. But I feel like the money we pay at Starbucks, it should be what we want.

I'll occasionally ask them to remake something if they did it wrong, but sometimes I just let it pass. They're usually pretty good about it when I ask (in fact, while I was waiting for my drink, they remade a drink for someone). If you order something and pay (a lor) for it, you should get what you paid for. So I totally get that.

They sell just the white band with rose gold accent for $30.

Interesting...
(Although, honestly, I'm only saving $20 getting the regular white and the rose gold band, so it might just be worth it to get the rose gold. I gotta think about it).

Thanks for the information gathering!

In other news ... I tried a new coffee place today, the bean. More expensive than Starbucks, but possibly lightly better.
Of course, the best option is probably to not have the second cup of coffee in the afternoon, but ... sigh.

So, I just registered for an event tomorrow night because of this:

#WillDoAnythingForAFreePintGlass

(It actually looks like a cool event, but not one I'd really feel comfortable at solo, and I dont so much have friends that I can coerce into going with me. So I dont know if I'm gonna go. But I'm registered.)

A few things ...

A) One to Two mini race-related updates over the next few weeks. Expect an update no earlier than Saturday night.
B) I am writing up my 2019 goals. Hopefully I will post those eventually. (I have 2020 goals too, but those will wait)
C) I confirmed my attendance at tomorrow night's pint glass event. I'm still not sure I'll go. It'll probably be a game-time decision based on how tired I am and how work went.
D) If I can swing it (I'll know later tonight when I'm done organizing some things), I'm thinking that if I track all of my food from tomorrow through June 3rd (except Friday night and Saturday, when my phone is off) and stay within my calorie range every day, then I get me some Rose Gold Vivoactive 3. Seems like a good incentive to get back on the tracking bandwagon. (Yeah ... that's not gonna happen)

If you get any other watch that isn’t the rose gold vivoactive you will regret it. If you stump up the extra $50, you will have a moment of pain when you do the transaction but from then on will have zero regrets! And the extra money is what - 10 Starbucks?

I appreciate the enabling, but ...
I actually think there will be no pain/regrets either way. The rose gold is super pretty, and occasionally I deserve nice things, so if I decide to spend the extra money on that, I'm fine with it (even if it means skipping a few Starbucks trips). I'll probably be annoyed at how often I have to clean the band (because the band is white and somehow anything I own that's white becomes dirty in like 5 seconds), but then I'll look at it and remember how pretty it is and how it makes me feel and I'll be okay with it.
But if I save the $50, I can spend that $50 on something else pretty, and I still really like the black vivoactive3. That's the watch I fell in love with in the store. Maybe it's not rose gold, but it's still pretty, and I can always buy a rose gold bracelet to wear next to it (or on my other wrist, most likely).

The good thing is, there's no losing in this situation. I just gotta think about what I want to do.

(Also, with all this talk about rose ... I'm gonna wear my Beauty and the Beast necklace today)

I love the fact that you already have goals for next year. I also have been thinking about whats next and its good to have something on the horizon.

I'm usually not this ahead of the same with my goals, but these goals kinda just happened. I definitely agree that its food to have something on the horizon ... it helps keep me motivated!

I think I am still leaning towards the white with silver. I like the rose gold, but I feel like it will clash with too many things. (As I look down at my wrist and see the hodge podge of watches and bracelets that I currently wear and laugh.) But the white with silver is the one that I wanted to begin with and I will probably just end up with that one. I know whatever happens and whatever you choose will be the right choice for you.

That pint glass is super cool! Definitely worth the trip but I feel you on the rolling solo aspect.

I get what you're saying about the rose gold clashing with things ... I hadn't thought about that. White and silver is probably the best for matching things ... cant go wrong with that. (Although if I dont go rose gold I'll probably end up with a black one because most of what I wear matches black and I won't feel weird wearing it after labor day)(yes, I am implying that I dont wear white watch bands after labor day ... I'm exceptionally weird).

Yeah, I kinda love the pint glass. But I'm having one of those days where I dont want to go to a trivia night with a bunch of random strangers. Maybe I'll see if I can go, grab the pint glass, and leave before the trivia ... we'll see.

When I bought my Apple Watch a long time ago, I bought the white band because of how clean it looked. Probably the same reason I want the white vivo. But then my mom also bought me a black band so I could change it up. I have been wearing it all black for years. I like the white vivo because I can do the same thing and get a black band and change it as I feel. So for you, before Labor Day = white, after = black. Haha.

This is 100% what I would do. LOL

Nice. That's smart. Best of both worlds!

Pint glass acquired. On my way home.
I'm not a terrible person, right? They had one reserved for me whether I went or not, and if I was in the mood (or knew someone I could drag with me), I might have stayed.

I'll be back at road runners tomorrow for packet pickup for the nutella run. Which is not necessarily my next race.
But more on that next week.

EDIT: I'm already getting terrible person points today because I saw my coworker waiting for the train and purposely walked to the other end of the platform to avoid her. (I'm really not in a people mood today ... I took the train with her yesterday and it was nice to have someone to talk to, but today talking to people was a big fat no, so I avoided her). So it's entirely possible that I'm a terrible person.
