Mickey's Halloween Party and Halloween Time Superthread 2018!!

So, I'm curious about the cauldron buckets: where does the popcorn go (i.e. does the top pop open?) and where is the hidden Mickey??
The top pops up and that's also where the battery pack is (it lights up). Yes, there is a hidden Mickey.
It's on the top among the bubbles

I'm so excited! I know we knew the cauldrons would be out today, but now that we have people who have actually bought them, it brings a new level of excitement. 5 days and I can get mine!!

I’ll be at the party tonight! Happy to answer questions if I can. I will respond either late tonight or tomorrow though as the wifi and my phone hate eachother. So exciting!

Yayy!! Can't wait to hear your check in! What are your plans for the party?

So excited to hear the reports from tonight! Our party is Monday!!

First party of the year is finally here! Have fun! I can't wait to read info on the parties! We (all eleven of us!) are going to the October 12th party.:yay:

Question for anyone that has been to the Halloween parties before- How sturdy, and how big, are the bags they give out for candy collection. Is it better to bring our own, or will the ones Disney distributes be fine?

Been wondering this too. Haven't been, won't until next Wednesday. But I've been looking online and at pictures, and it looks like the bags are pretty small, I think you should bring your own fi gathering candy is a big thing you plan on doing.

depends on how much candy you want. They're small-ish, so we brought our own. that said, we went through maybe 4 (?) treat trails, brought home two large shopping bag size bags of candy (like, trader joe size reusable bags), and if I hadn't thrown it away a month or so ago we would still have some.

You will need to have a clear view of the upper left side of the castle to see the orb. As you learned last year, make sure that there aren't any large trees obstructing your view. Walk around early during the party to see where you (personally -- based on your height and any details with your costume, like hats or complicated wigs) can get a clear view. Then aim to be in that area for fireworks viewing.

thank you! I think where I made my mistake last year was thinking the orb was above the left most turret, but it was actually more to the side of it, correct? I didn't see it so I'm not exactly sure. ha

Is the candy decent?

I’m still so confused about trick or treating! I am gluten free and don’t eat candy. Do they have healthier treats at each stop? Do I have to ask for them?

Anxious to hear from tonight’s party about what villains they have out! Can’t wait for our first party ever on Friday!
