Just a friendly reminder to those who aren't frequent visitors to this thread - Target no longer allows GC to GC transactions, so you can't use these to convert to Disney Gift Cards anymore. But if you need to do any holiday shopping at Target, this is a great opportunity to save 10%.

When did this change? I know I used the Target gift cards last year to buy Disney gift cards after putting the Target gift cards on my Target app on my phone first. I noticed the ad talks about not buying other gift cards but it is worded strangely.

Where can I find the online code? I only have the long barcode number on the Target app.

From my understanding, if you used the app you only have one option to use your 20% off coupon and that would be in-store only.

Those who purchased online and in-store received a coupon with bar code and digits.

So, I know Best Buy has clamped down in GC purchases with GCs. I have $45 in Cashstar rewards coming next month and want to buy a $150 Best Buy GC as a gift for someone. Any idea if I they’ll let me put my Cashstar rewards towards the larger BestBuy gift card and pay the rest with my credit card?

Looks like the $10 coupon at meijer doesn't count gift card purchases. Still managed to get $10 back in mperks though.

The discounted Target GCs are a fantastic way to get a blanket sale on the things that don't go on sale. Legos are our go-to gift, both for our kids and for birthday parties, and they are pretty much always excluded from %-off sales everywhere. I've been looking for a particular set YDS really wants for over a month now, and it never seems to be included in any discounts.

Now I have to decide how much money I want to tie up in Target GCs. And how much my husband will let me get away with (because he HATES gift cards).

Thanks. I have to admit I don't get to the DIS boards as often as I use to. But before any such things like the annual Target card extravaganza, I check in here first because I know you guys will have the scoop! Looks like I'll have to start looking at other suggestions for discounted Disney cards if my old standby of having everyone of my relatives buy Target cards for me in December won't work anymore.

Does anyone know if we can still "roll" a Target gift card into another Target gift card? I did a LOT of that last year. I bought Target GCs at my local Hy-Vee grocery store, used my Amex card and got 6% off (plus 20-cents off per gallon of gas) and then bought the 10% off Target cards with the Hy-Vee Target CGs. I'd like to buy my DH the $300 Bose Quietcomfort 35 II headphones and 16% off would be lovely. I bought him a pair from Costco but that are the "I" version and not the "II" version. I think he might like the "II" version better.

I checked Doctor of Credit after I asked here and it seems that you can still buy a Target gift card with a Target gift card. They don't allow you to but third party gift cards with Target gift cards. I'll give it a try on Sunday with a small amount and then go back for more if it works. Last year I bought a boat-load of $270 gift cards for my DVC dues and vacation spending money. I'll report back here with my results. Worst case, I've saved an extra 1% over the Target redcard and I'll use it up eventually like I did the last one.

Bought $150 Office Depot Happy Guys cards with a $20 off special today. Chase also allowed me to add a Office depot coupon to my credit card for another $10 off. Hoping to turn these cards into Dinsey gift cards this morning. Will report back but this would be a 20% savings.

Update: Success using self checkout. 3 transactions for $50 each and paid via credit card (IE: Happy guy gift card).
