I take it you check luggage given you travel with large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion and a hair dryer? These are items I would never pack for travel. I consider myself more of a traveler than a vacationer and thus never check luggage. If I can’t carry it on my back, it doesn’t come with me. Around the world, even in the sketchiest of hotels, basic toiletries are provided. Many of us can and do get by on those tiny bottles.
Disney is not in line with industry standards here. They are being cheap. Telling people to simply bring their own doesn’t absolve Disney of wrong-doing. And just because you travel one way, doesn’t mean everyone does the same.
For those people looking for a solution to the disappearing lotion, Lush cosmetics makes solid body lotion as well as solid shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo and conditioner both work well and they don’t need to be included in your liquids bag. Haven’t tried the lotions. I’m using the solid shampoo and conditioner when I travel to the Arctic. Now the Arctic is somewhere I’m not expecting included toiletries—but I’ll be living in a tent. Maybe that’s the industry standard Disney aligns themselves with these days—remote expedition travel.
