I had the same thoughts. I know presales go fast, but that seemed VERY fast.
I wonder how many of those memberships they sold. They were such a rip off (imho).

This was much faster than in recent years. And I didn't used to have to queue up again for EACH registration. WTH?!?! And I had to type all my info -- address, credit card, etc. each time, even though that info is stored in my account -- WTH?!?! What a cluster. SO ANNOYED.

Also .... after last year I decided to size up on shirts I figure if they are big and I can't trade for a size down I can wear them more as a Spirit Jersey vs if I got my normal size and it was snug and I couldn't size up it would be unwearable like last years 5K shirt is

I don't think so. The Club RunDisney memberships don't officially start until October, so they wouldn't have access to early registration for this race weekend. My guess is that it's largely two factors. First, they probably reduced the number of bibs available to AP/DVC early registration as part of allowing TAs to register people early and second, I think the theming has increased the draw for the race weekend. People have been clamoring for a villains weekend for years.

I made it all the way to submit payment and then 5k was was sold out. Tried again for the challenge and same thing happened.
Maybe the universe is telling me it’s time to start thinking about my first Dopey challenge?

I was able to register for both the challenge and 5k for 2 people and my friends also registered just now for all 3. I don't think it is really sold out! Probably just a glitch

I've gone back in a couple times and the 5k, 10k, and challenge are definitely sold out.

I bet THIS is the reason. The theme is cool but I can't imagine it would make that huge a difference compared to recent years. But who knows. I'm just beyond mad that I had to queue up again for EACH registration and re-enter all my info each time. Ludicrous. I despise Disney IT.

Luckily with more than one tab open another tab had opened up for registration so I was able to sign up my daughter without having out and in again. I'm thinking the theme caused a frenzy, I'm guessing regular registrations will sell just as quickly. I know a few that weren't running it until the Vilians were announced.

Odd. I was able to just click the button add registration as I alternated between adding myself and a friend for the different events. I did challenge,challenge then 5k, 5k. I didn't have to requeue or anything.

I wonder if that was browser specific? I did have the 'add another participant' button which appeared after I filled in all of the fields for the first registration (DH's 10K). I did not understand why it could pull it as an emergency contact, but not for any registration address.

Everything but the 1/2 sold out before I could finish registration for 2 people. VERY FRUSTRATING!
Will I be able to upgrade to the challenge on the 10th or will I need to call? Not sure how that would work.....

I was on a laptop and had no option to do that having more than one tab trying to get in saved me I think. Because the only option I had was to view registration or log out. I viewed registration and tool a screenshot of the registration number then went to the different tab that had opened up.

Could be. I had chrome running on my laptop. Either that or maybe registrations were becoming scarce. I didn't get in to register until 20 after 10.

I was also able to register myself and my sister without having to requeue. I got both of the registrations set and then paid for both at the same time. I wonder what was going on that it worked for some and not for others.

This was me. I had no desire to run this weekend until they announced the villains theme. Now I’m running both the challenge and the 5k!

I just registered my husband and myself for our first ever half marathon. I think I'm insane. We're doing our first live 5K this weekend. We're pretty new to running but we're excited to do this!

I was on my phone - iphone w/safari. To be clear though, I added the second registration before I paid/completed the first one. At the end, I had them all in my cart, then added pins then paid.
