3/13 Member Services Calls

Awesome To know! I wish my points had been kept out of holding. But I think it has to do with borrowed status. So, hopefully the email I sent yesterday will have them removed!
Mine went to holding because our waitlist came through last week and it was within the window. The system put them in holding and then used them right away. Never would have noticed had it not been for this.

Good news is that I think the CMs and the Accounting Team are getting more knowledgeable on how to handle things.
 
So our reservation is for next Thursday. Should I wait a few days to try calling since all I'm getting right now is the busy signal?
 
Good luck everyone! I'm praying for kindness, understanding and for the first time, I will be asking for Disney Magic.

We planned to arrive in the middle of next week and I am praying they will be kind with point return. My contracts are going to be in a tangle. The upcoming trip is using by banked 2019 points and my summer trip is using some borrowed from 2021. So even if they don't put my points into holding, they need to be applied to the summer trip... and then what about the fact that I had to borrow?!

I made it through the busy signal and am on hold.🤞
Were you able to get your points put back without the points being on hold?
 


It seems like the reservations will be handled appropriately. Curious about annual passes that will expire soon. We booked our trip to utilize our APs
 
I have an April UY and the reservation is 3/15 - 3/17. The points were borrowed from 2020. I'm wondering if the reservation was cancelled what would happen to the points.

Some have had luck getting the points to be put back.

We had no problems getting the 220 points for our trip put back into 2020. Only issue we did have was we have 13 points that were banked so most likely will lose them.
 
I called last night got through. We were suppose to check in tomorrow. They canceled for me and told me they would move the points out of holding but it could take up to 10 days. There was some sort of form she had to fill out.
 
It took a while but my points will come out of holding and the ones I borrowed will go back. I was told it may take up to 30 days, which I’m okay with.
 
Can someone give me the abbreviated version of what DVC is willing to do? I have a trip scheduled for 3/31-4/6 and will need to cancel (we are high risk, so even if they re-open WDW 4/1, I think it would be unwise to fly cross country to visit.) I was assuming all of those points would go into holding, but maybe not?

They won't go into holding. By default they go into wherever they came from (banked from previous/current/borrowed) though there is flexibility around that. Figure out when you're going to go and where you use year is and ask. i.e. if you're past your banking deadline because your use year is June, explain your situation and ask for them to be banked into next year.

Thank you, this will make rescheduling easier, especially w/ rebooking the United Airlines flights.
I think I’ll wait a few days before I try to call since the phones are likely crazy at the moment.
 
They will extend them the number of days park is closed. Currently, that is an additional 15 days.
That doesn’t do me any good, if I can’t get availability within that time frame. As of right now, there are no reservations for those dates.
