Mousecellaneous - does David's tell you if the renter cancels?

Definitely not the same situation as now, but we rented a few years ago where the renter cancelled. They were able to rerent the points and asked that we change the names on the reservation in exchange for $1 extra per point. I am assuming they were able to collect their fee twice since it is nonrefundable?

I feel for the folks that had their reservations cancelled or will have to cancel their reservations if they are not comfortable traveling. I have been procrastinating selling our extra points right now with everything up in the air.

I honestly didn't pay any attention to personal mortgages - that doesn't touch my area. Sorry, lol!

I didn't mean how it's affected by the bill but in general what's considered a fed backed mortgage and what isn't. Guessing it's similar to student loans and it being a subsidized stud loan means it's fed backed. So that my pnc mortgage isn't but a va or hud loan would be.

I understand the language in the bill and want to make sure it doesn't apply to me.

Oh and I should also add that it seems unlikely they would revise any of the language in these sections over their current tiff. They are now arguing over a cap on unemployment and an oversight in the calculation but I don't know why that argument would cause them to go back into any of these sections I detailed.

Because if you let 3 people complain and fix then the others will start coming for it. It's not done til the senate passes it, and I realize it still has to go to the house after that.

The good news is that most of the language (in those areas) has remained consistent as compared to the first draft I read last Friday.

I’ve been thinking this brownhaired_girl is going to be pretty grey by the time we are done social distancing😳. We ordered pizza delivery tonight to support our local business.
I am capable of correcting grey on my own hair, so Target it is. Otherwise I’d be totally gray by the time this is over (since you may not see people for a long time, it would be a great time to grow it out if that’s one’s thought, unfortunately I am still working.
- Any reports of retention offers on SPG Biz (Bonvoy Biz)? My AF is due and I don't think I really want to keep it. I paid the AF last year so hoping that would help keep the Amex popup away, which I think it did.
I have the same issue, except I’m wondering how long the wait time is if I call.
I survived Trader Joe's. They made you wait outside which was fine. No lines to check out, clean carts, gave everyone hand sanitizer before entering. Well stocked. Only thing I couldn't find was orange chicken.
I may have to check them out. I did stop at Target today for makeup (yep, I’m cheap) which they did not have. They did however have chicken and flour, both of which were out last week. I even got my boss a bag of flour since she mentioned she hasn’t been able to find any. DS and I will be baking next week.
I am going to need girl time, a massage and a good coloring when this is over! It is rough when your son has online school and homework and his besties are off school. For now, I am just going to enjoy a cocktail!
It’s a pain having kid and DH home all day when you’re still working. On the upside our local tapas place sent an email today that they are doing takeout on the weekends including sangria. Will be ordering for sure since we would have been in New Orleans this weekend eating well.

In work news, I WFH Tuesday/Thursday last week and this week. Now the powers that be have decided we will work from home in 2 week shifts. WFH 2 weeks, go to work for 2 weeks. Rinse, repeat. TBH I don’t want to be out for 2 weeks, so much changes and you don’t find out if you’re not there. Last week there were no COVID 19 patients, now there are. Procedures are changing daily. So my boss will go to rounds for me daily and text me updates. Because management is “immune” and she will be there every day.

I believe Fannie and Freddie are fed backed mortgages. There used to be a tool to look up whether yours is or not...during the housing crisis of 2009 stuff.

I’ve had bangs my entire life. You made me grateful today that I learned to trim them a long time ago. Some definite mishaps along the way 😆

I have bangs, and I can trim them. Not as well as my hairdresser, but I can do it. However, I was trying to keep my hair a little longer and thus didn't get as much cut off last time, and now it's way too long and driving me crazy. I'm waiting for DD to come out of in-house quarantine and then hoping she can help me trim it. I don't think she can do an ok job, but it would probably be better than anything DH can do. It stinks that on top of all of this I can't even look halfway decent.

Thanks and interesting since I always thought PNC owned it since that's who I refi'd with and who I pay but Fannie says they own it. So confused now. I don't like them controlling evictions when I've already had to file on him once in the past 5 months. Might make me awful but the problem was prior to this and I'm not here to float someone. I'd feel differently if it hadn't already been an issue but he's been late every month since October. At least this month it was only a couple of days using the 5th as being late as that's when the late fee kicks in. And his check bounced last month so now he can't pay online or with a check.

Our first house was backed by Fannie but the mortgage was owned by Wells Fargo.

Really grateful right now that I no longer have bangs...

And I just discovered that when I French braid my hair, it makes it all so much easier to see the grays I didn't previously realize I had! :scared1: Thankfully no one will be standing close enough to me to notice!

Gonna get a teeeny bit of spend since I will pick up fast food on my way in to work (for me and a couple of my team), plus tonight is fuel night (debating on whether to use the Freedom or the CIP, honestly) and then tomorrow I plan to grab breakfast from a nearby local restaurant that we love. It won't be as good after having traveled home, but I want to support them. I'm afraid they're gonna go under.

has anyone noticed one credit card company refund funds faster then others? Amex has refunded a lot faster then chase has. Maybe just my experience but I wish chase would refund my account lol.
I've always found Chase to be pretty slow, Amex is the fastest and CITI takes forever. I don't know how it is for other people, but this has been my experience.

From what I’ve read this one does have an income ceiling...what I saw was...
Singles AGI $75,000 and under....gets the full $1,200 ....over $5 is deducted for each $100 of income...no one $99,000 and above gets a check
Married AGI $150,000 and under...get $2,400....phased out at $198,000

edited to add also $500 per child which if you make over the $99K and $198K will should increase your income phase out
Whatever money we get will go towards the 2019 taxes we owe. I don't care that much about the money I just want people to be able to go back to work.

Been MIA.....but I hit my spend on the CIP w/ a quickie trip to FL last week.

As a teacher, as soon as I was told MI was closing for 3 weeks, I joked w/ my students that I would be online teaching from the beach. Little did I know, I'd be able to pull it off. I managed to get 3 RT flights on Delta from DTW to MCO for $150 (was $300 but used $150 in Delta GCs from the Aspire/Delta cards). I got an AirBNB for $900 for the week, we had a pool. My daughter's 15th bday was St. Patrick's day, we ventured to the beach. We were NOT like the spring break photos you saw. We set up far from the college kids, or really anyone else. The rest of the time we were at our house, hanging at the pool.

While everyone back in MI was in a panic, my kids were in the sunshine and a corona-free bubble, as Orlando/FL was much slower to shut stuff down. We came back on Monday night, to the shelter in place in Michigan. Our flight to MCO was maybe 50 people. Shockingly on the way back, the flight I tried to change to was cancelled. The one we flew back on was nearly completely full.

I know A LOT of people think I'm insane. Outside of the airplane, my kids were just as isolated in FL as they would have been in MI. Being away was great for both of their mental health. And I guess, since I'm dating a pilot, I've been exposed to all the germs he is being exposed to for months already. I honestly think we both had this back in Jan, and my son had it shortly after that. We all had a terrible cough we could not shake for weeks.

Now with that said, I have a flight to FLL next week but I am cancelling it. It's very tempting to still go and isolate there. The pilot I'm dating has said Spirit is flying planes with as little as 10 people right now. He's said as of now, the airlines will continue to fly until the government shuts them down. As soon as I get the voucher for FLL flight, I want to try and rebook while the prices are low (guessing when in the future we might be back to "normal"). I also need to rebook my April flights to RDU on Delta. I'm hoping to take the vouchers and turn 2 tickets into 3. My daughter and I were going in April to see Jimmy Buffett. He's now moved his concert to June, so that's what we'll be trying for.

It will also be interesting to see how the school year plays out in Michigan. As it stands right now, any online learning we do can not count for "seat time". There is of course petitions to get our legislature to change that considering the situation. As of now we're out 4 weeks (until 4/13). Next week is our spring break, and initially we were supposed to return after that. Now we honestly don't know. I will say, it'll be interesting if I have to finish the year online w/ my students (seeing as I teach Engineering and Architecture, and they need certain software they can't all get). Right now everything teachers are doing in MI can't count for grading. It's "enrichment".

And in credit cards news...since I hit my CIP spend, I have no spends to meet. I'm not sure what card I want to look at next. I guess it's time to start looking.

We are close to finishing Dh's Capital One MSR. None of our transactions are eligible to be "erased" with our miles we've earned. Has anyone ever used their Capital One miles for Amazon? I see that's an option, but I'm not sure if it's a good redemption or not.

Trying not to think about work while I’m home, so was talking to DS20 and DD18 about future travel plans and filling them in on how all this reward business works. They know we haven’t paid cash for flights in over a decade thanks to SW SUB and CP alternating between me and DH and they’ve heard me talk about some of our reward cards, but we talked about it in a lot more detail tonight. They both have upcoming trips they’d like to take with friends and were immediately interested in getting their own CIP- especially since I mentioned there may be changes coming to that soon. So I’m looking for advice from those who have had kids that age apply and get approved. DS has been selling Pokémon cards (and other things but mostly cards) on eBay for about 10 years now- only makes a few hundred $ per year but it’s something. DD cleans houses and has been doing that since she was 15. First, can they use those as their business? Second- and this is my concern- they both just get paid cash and have never paid any tax on it. So should they not use that info? Also, is there any kind of flag raised with Chase with multiple apps from the same address? They’ll both be able to meet the MSR with college expenses. Quick history- DS got the student Discover card when he turned 18 and got the PayPal credit card in January. DD has no credit cards yet. And if there’s a reason this is a bad idea to begin with let me know your thoughts. Thanks!!

None of my kids has a CIP (I think @wendow is the one with kids with a CIP) but I think your daughter might have a problem because Chase prefers (requires?) 6 months to a year of proven credit. OTOH, there's no real harm in applying--a single inquiry on her credit history will not impact anything. Good luck!
