I'm at the three hour mark on hold trying to get my two rooms at All-star Music switched to either Pop or Cbr. For anyone that has the Recovery 20 room discount (that lost the fd bounceback offer), we're you able to still keep it? Tried doing all this last night but their system went down and the cm I spoke with said that the discount still applied (but you now the misinformation they tend to give out)

Glad most people are finding success. My journey began yesterday while trying to get my park reservations. Monday and Tuesdays are always full of meetings so I made several attempts throughout yesterday and I got nowhere. I was about to hit the cancel button on my two trips but decided to give it one more try during my morning run. I kept dialing the 7639 # and after 45 attempts; made it through. After entering in all my info the hold music began. I think this is the first time I've run to the Trolley Song and Small World.....I almost fell when a CM answered after about 25 min of being on hold. He said he should be able to help me but then said he needed to reach out to a manager. I was put on hold and he returned very quickly.

Original Reservation was Gran Destino Club Level in August, he originally offered my CBR. If I were staying in a regular CSR room I would have been ok with it. I declined and explained that I didn't find this to be an upgrade. He came back with CR (Garden Wing). I'm not a fan of CR at all. Stayed there once (Tower) and didn't like it so I asked to speak to a manager. After explaining things he said he couldn't do any better. I explained my disappointment and asked if there was anyone else I can speak to. He put me on a brief hold and said he's try to figure this out. In the end I ended up in a Deluxe Studio at Boulder Ridge and I am thrilled. Kindness and perseverance pays off. WL is one of my favorite resorts and while the rooms at Boulder Ridge are a bit dark I have no complaints. I hope everyone else finds success and some magic. Also first time poster, this thread has been beyond helpful! Thanks everyone! Total-time on the phone today (only 45min). Not bad after spending hours on the phone yesterday.

Just hit the 100 call mark with the GS direct line. All busy. Guess I'll try again tomorrow morning... third day in a row waking up at 5am!

You should not have to pay anything different as long as you don't change anything. - You'll keep whatever rate you already had no matter where they put you. If they try to make pay the difference, don't agree...ask to be transferred to GS or hang up and try again.

So since we're only going for one night as a little add on to another trip, I wasn't gonna mess with the hour(s) long waits and everything and was just gonna wait it out and cancel if I had to. But I decided to give this magic 7866 number a try. Well, spammed it with two different cell phones for about 25 tries (all busy signals) before it finally connected. Was on hold for all of 10 seconds before a real person picked up. After her initial confusion as to "how I got this number", she looked things up and helped me out. She was actually SUPER nice and got our AKL king pool view (non DVC Jambo House) for Aug. 4-5 changed free of charge. She said the only option she had for keeping the same price was a Contemporary Garden View which I snatched up bc that room prob runs about $100-$150 more than the AKL room I originally had, plus I've never stayed in the CR.

I think I was on the phone a grand total of 10 mins. She was super nice, helpful and was even going to let me pick from options if there had been more than one.

She did say "I wonder why we're getting all these calls to this number all of a sudden?" And said they might have to change the number, so....call that number while you can bc it may be disconnected soon!

Has anyone had success in getting rid of a package and being able to keep the price the same? I have APs and had the recovery free dining, which required two day base tickets. I'd like to get rid of those tickets but I'm afraid they won't let me keep the 35 percent discount they gave me if they do...

I made it through. Asmo changed to Pop for our first 3 nights. 2nd resort stay was AKL Savannah view. Am being moved to CR GV in a king. Nothing else available (I needed 2 beds). I was told this or to cancel. Not happy.

I am also supposed to get a call back today, but I believe if we were told this last night those CM’s don’t start until 3:30. At least that’s what mine told me yesterday.
I have been trying to call the 7866 number for the last two hours, but still no luck getting through.

I was in the same situation. I was able to get rid of my tickets and still retain the 35% discount (as far as I know). I had already paid in full, so I'm hoping so see a refund in the next few days to know for sure.

Yay! I haven't stayed there, but I'm excited to! I own DVC there and resort wasn't open when I bought it, so it'll be my first time even seeing it. I used my DVC points for my Thanksgiving stay there.

After more than 6 hours on hold yesterday and 3.5 hours on hold today only to be disconnected, I called the direct line and talked to someone within 10 minutes. I was told my only option was to move my GDT reservation to the cabins at fort wilderness. It wasn’t my top choice, but I was tired of being on hold and just wanted to be done with it. Good luck to everyone still trying to get their reservations figured out

He first tried to give CBR, but we're not fans at all so I asked if there was anything else and he came back with Poly, no price change...so excited. After months of a rollercoaster of emotions and frustration ; we are back to excitedly counting down the days Good luck everyone...hang in there.

Finally got through and persistence pays off! July 28-August 2 at Coronado Springs. Paid $191 a night with the sun and fun offer. Rep immediately informed me that I had ”price protection” since Disney was responsible for our resort change. Rep then tried to get us to accept Pop and I refused. She then came back and said I have Contemporary available, did you want standard view or deluxe room? Of course, I chose deluxe room. I’m thrilled to have access to the monorail and walking distance to Magic Kingdom for $191 a night. Celebrating my birthday and 15th wedding anniversary.

Got through right away to 7866 #, moved from POFQ in Sept to CBR preferred room so not a big upgrade. Sad they said the Skyliner may not be running then...WHAT??!?
