@Haley R The only airline transfer partner with the Rewards+ is JetBlue (at a rate of 1000 to 800). If you eventually get a Citi Premier or Prestige, you can combine the points and transfer to many more partners. But you can't get the SUB on those until 24 months after your Rewards+ SUB posts.

They seriously have different levels of thank you points? I get that there is with ur but its sold as cash back. I thought all typ could be transferred otherwise they're even more useless.

They do! I guess it's like how you can't transfer to partners from a Chase Freedom and would need a CSP or CSR. TYP has a lot of other rules that I find pretty confusing. I like URs better. The only reason I'm interested in TYP is because you can get Disney with them.

But at which level? At this rate if I see a benefit I'll prob just keep my premier and suck up the ad and get a sign up bonus with another card. I know you can pc but it's never fully sure it won't reset the 2 yr clock.

Does anyone have XFinity? Do you have Peacock Premium or just Peacock Free with your service?
I have Xfinity and it comes with the Peacock Premium. I haven't used it though.

RE: CSR retention offer, my AF posted 11/1 and I've called 3x today and denied all 3 times! They didn't even transfer me to the retentions specialist. Should I try calling another time to see if an offer pops up or am I just out of luck? I was planning on PC to another card next month because it'll be 48 months on 12/20/20. Then applying for the CSR again. I'd appreciate any advice. TIA

I'm visiting my parents and they do and they have premium. Although I'm confused because it still has commercials.

This has turned into a working vacation. I am teaching them to stream, set up a wifi extender and tv for their lanai, built a fireplace tv console, and set up and taught them to use a new wifi printer. I just hope they call my sister when I leave and they can't figure out how to get anything to work.

ETA: I guess it's premium plus that doesn't have commercials. Premium has more content than the free version.

The Rewards+ gets 1 cpp through Citi Travel. So I guess all the TYP cards will have the same redemption for that once the Premier loses the 1.25.

I paid the Premier AF the first year. Didn't even ask for retention because I was afraid they'd accidentally close my card. I was thinking about applying for another Premier or the Prestige when my 24 months is up, but then I see talk of 0/6 inquiry to get approved. So decided to take the chance and downgrade to the Rewards+. It seemed safer than the Double Cash since it's in the same family (but yeah who knows). Lucky no account number change! So saves my points and punts my decision down the line.

I've seen DPs of $95 retention on the Premier if you want to take the small risk on that.

Isn’t that a no fee card? I think that’s what I have. Wondering if I should give that a try.

It is indeed a no-AF card.

Amex has occasionally offered retention on no-AF cards, but you had to call and they were never that good. This offer wasn't great, but it's better than it would have been on a no-AF card last year.

I was 0/6 when I applied, didn't even know it was a thing when I did. It's possible the Hilton hadn't hit my cr but the plat was old enough to have so I'd have been 1 or 2 in 6 months.

Question on the AmEx Platinum streaming credit. The only streaming service we use is netflix and it's prepaid for a few months from buying giftcards at Walgreens when they had their buy 2 netflix cards, get a $10 walgreens card deal going on. Can I prepay another $20 with my new AmEx to use up that credit in November and December?

Similarly, with the wireless credit, can I just pay $20 using my card to get the credit? DH just switched all of our phones around, so it's also paid up for the month, but hate to let the credits go to waste if I don't have to.

I know with the SUB, it's well worth it, but I'm not sure I'll be using the airline credit and possibly the uber. Our closest town that has uber is about 20 miles away, so we'd have to do carry out to be able to use up the credit. Not that we can't do it, but it's kind of a pain. I really don't like driving 20 minutes back home with carryouts because the food is somewhat cold by the time we get to eat it lol!

DoC has a list of what works for the streaming credit. There are some things on there that you might not usually think would work.

Don't forget that Uber for December is $35.

I think it's 0/6 inquiries. Your Amex apps probably didn't even have a hard pull?

ETA: Also I think it's somewhat recent, along with all the other credit tightening.

Thanks for the info! I’ve never flown JetBlue before

If it's just inquires then yes my last would have been in Nov and I got the premier in june or July.

Do car loans add to your 5/24 or is it just credit cards? I see the loan account for DD’s car just hit my credit report as a new account and I hadn’t thought about that.
