I finally called him and he said he was doing to deliver it next and that he was near my house, I said no you aren't you're on the other hill. Then he said I think I made a mistake and let me call you back. I have a feeling he won't be calling me back and that I should just cancel my order as who knows what he's done with it, probably gave it to the last house he delivered at. If you can't keep track of stuff, don't deliver multiple orders at the same time. It also still doesn't show that he's picked it up in the app.

I explained that our order was canceled but it hadn’t been canceled on their end so he gave it to us. It was cold but free, so we ate it.
But from my understanding DoorDash has better customer service than UberEats.

I did get my food at 550. Mod got the order at 424 and it was done at 439. It was cold, reheated in the micro and it was fine. I lowered his tip and gave him a thumbs down. I sent a message through the app so we'll see what happens. He blamed the gps, if he was doing both orders for Uber their app shouldn't allow for delivers in opposite directions, so to me it's just as much on them. We'll see what they say. I have some screenshots of how things went and my receipts from Mod, but they can also see where his car when I'm sure.

I ordered their No Name cake (a ding dong) to get to the $15 and omg it was so good. You can tell they make it from better stuff and so fresh and good. It let me save the other half of the pizza for dinner tomorrow.

I'll stick to pick up going forward unless it's from mcd's during the day as I've had good luck with the retirement age men that have delivered it, haha.
 
You don't have to pay with your plat when using uber, the credit is already loaded in the uber/uber eats app so you can pay with whatever card you want, whether it's an amex, chase etc.

The credit currently no the gold, you have to pay with that card whether you use grubhub, shake shack, cheesecake etc.

ETA, oops missed you said amazon, thought we were still talking uber since there's a similar offer for both uber and grubhub. Course my grubhub is on my plat which doesn't help when I need it on the gold. Oh well.

9x MR Amazon offer isn't a continuous thing though. only other time i saw something similar(was 4x i think) was last year around the same time.
Id say, take the L and spend on amazon with the Gold card.
Ok, that's good news on both counts. Just gave my wife the number for the Gold card, because she's the big Amazon shopper.
And maybe a different reward will pop up next year.

I don't see why not. I think I have 5 or 6 different cards listed on my uber and it lets me pick which one I want to pay with along with the credit. It defaults to my gold so that works for the extra points.
 
When did you place the order? And did you use shoprunner so it'd ship faster?

It's normal for any place to put a hold fpr the entire amount and then charge as it ships and then the initial one will fall off. Saks has done it to me, shop Disney does it. I think amazon is one of the few that doesn't do it.
My makeup order was broken up into 3 separate orders. 3 amounts added up to the original order.

So the legitimate total was $251.93 and there's over $600 in additional charges. Also nothing tracked on ebates (either I got distracted and didn't click through or the shoprunner popup to finish the checkout disabled it). Still everything is listed as pending even though all but one item has actually shipped and when I click into 'view dispute activity' there is nothing there. Whatever is going on with this is a hot mess. It looks like they never even cancelled the card now.

If it's all still pending, there's nothing wrong. And if you didn't claim the original charges were fraud then they will still be on there until the one's that shouldn't fall off. Any pending charges on a cancelled card will still continue being processed unless you've told them they are fraud and then they'll open an investigation.

Also if you do the math, you can see what happened. They did the intial charge of the 251.93 because that's what they always do. Someone thought they'd be able to ship most of it in one order, which is the second charge of 224.36 which leaves the 27.57. Then they must've realized it wouldn't work hence the next charge of 126. But if you add up the charges from the 98 to the top 54, they add up to the 251.93 and I would guess that means 4 shipments.

What's your order tracking say? How many packages have shipped and what's in them? It should be easy to see and add those totals together. If it goes over 251 then they've sent you too many of the items, but if you do the math it's all stuff from your order and there's no fraud.

Shipping for a lot of places is both slow and erratic right now with it taking both longer to ship things and also multiple packages when you would normally get one. They also aren't all coming from the same location like they may have before. Unless your order shipped emails give you reason to think you are getting more than you ordered, just be patient, it takes time for both things to fall off and to post.

You're making me feel better. I totally panicked when I saw so stinking many charges and went into 'must be fraud' mode. I tried contacting Saks to see if they would be able to explain the pending charges. Waited online for the chat and finally get ahold of CS only for them to tell me I needed to call :badpc:.Thank you for figuring out the mystery. I am still very sad that my17% didn't track :sad1:

I just asked my wife if she wanted to use the Saks $50 before Dec 31st. I would have prolly freaked out too, when I saw all the charges!
 
You don't have to pay with your plat when using uber, the credit is already loaded in the uber/uber eats app so you can pay with whatever card you want, whether it's an amex, chase etc.

So I transferred $50 of Uber Cash from my Barclay Uber card into my Uber App, which can now be used for Uber Eats, Uber rides, and JUMP (whatever that is).

And I think I will pay with my Uber Card, since it's 5x for Uber Eats, Rides, and JUMP. That's even better than the 4x on the Amex Gold.

@Albort or anyone else - uber refunded for my order tonight. 3 in uber cash for the tip then the 15 of my wallet plat funds and the rest to my card. Do I need to use my 15 tomorrow? I don't see where I can find an expiration date and this is how it shows up.

As I understand, the Amex Uber Eats Cash points disappear at the end of the month, and new points appear on the 1st (no roll-over). So yes, use your Amex Uber Cash today (Nov 30th).
Even better, tomorrow, on Dec 1st you will get $35 in Uber Cash (the December $20 bonus).
 
No L3 data from Target to Amex, correct? I have a $2000 redemption spend and I'm thinking of picking up a $300 Target gift card in store Satureday to get 10% off. Just wondering if this will get me in trouble.
 
Tell him to skip Madden 21 and keep playing 20....Also if you have Gamepass ultimate I am pretty sure Madden 21 is now free. You want to look into that....best way is to load up on a couple years of xbox live gold and for $1 convert every month to gamepass ultimate. It is an insane value.

I don't think that's right. I'm assuming you're referring to EA Play being included in Gamepass now? EA doesn't add the current Madden to EA Play until around the Super Bowl. There is a 10 hour demo for Madden 21 through EA Play via Gamepass, though.

However, I agree that unless you're playing on a Series X, Madden 21 is junk on the One X/S and Madden 20 is better and free to play through EA Play/Gamepass.

I understand that but it's now in the form as a refund from uber so it may not be tied to amex any more that's why I need to know. I'd rather not have to go get anything with it tonight.

You are correct....I thought Mahomes was on the cover this year and saw that in Gamepass app but I guess Lamar is on the cover lol.
 
Weird Amex streaming credit dp. I only currently have one streaming service being billed to my CS platinum because I cancelled hulu. So my netflix charge showed up on 11/28 for $12.99 as did a $5.99 streaming credit (but there's no corresponding charge it is offsetting). I assume the Netflix credit will show up soon. ETA: $12.99 credit just showed up. So I got an extra $5.99 this month. Yippee!
 
Back from WDW! I booked 6 nights at POR for 5 of us over a year ago, for thanksgiving week, with AA miles. Recap: When I found out that POR was not opening, I called disney twice to see what would happen but they couldn't/wouldn't do anything because I booked through AA. I knew contacting AA was going to be useless, and it was. They could only refund the points, but there were no more disney hotels to book through their site. So I put it off so I could think about it. Considered going to universal instead. Emailed disney guest services just to see and they transferred it to their "wholesale" dept. They were great and upgraded us to SSR, 2 bed villa. :banana:

It was fabulous! It was not a refurbed room, and it was still fabulous. Loved the resort. Now I wish I booked longer because we needed a few extra days. :D Having a kitchen and laundry is a game changer.

Parks were great too, definitely a different trip than usual, but not unexpected. Parks were at their pandemic capacity (tried to change a park reservation and couldn't). Long waits without fastpasses (also expected). I read other accounts that posted wait times were less for a lot of people. Not true for the holiday week, they were pretty spot on. And popular rides were around 80-90 mins. It was nice to see some queues that I've never seen before because they were on rides that I always had a fastpass for. :rotfl:But pandemic capacity was noticeably lower than a normal holiday week. For example, after getting food and drinks around EPCOT, we were always able to actually find a seat. :D The COVID precautions were good. Though it made the lines reeeeeeeeeeally long. Finding the ends of some of them were challenging. I'm looking at you, Flights of Passage. Felt pretty safe though, with the mask mandate, 6ft markings in lines, reduced capacity of park, rides and restaurants. Only thing I would skip is Disney Springs at night. While the stores were limiting people, it was still very crowded walking around (at night, daytime was fine) and hard to avoid people.

Buses not too bad. It was nice not having people squished in on top of you. Had a short wait most of the time. One was 30mins and it was a little frustrating to try to leave AK and have 4 contemporary buses pull in right aside of you while waiting for SSR. First world problems...
Anyway, we are all spoiled now and it will be hard to go back to one room for the 5 of us. :cool1:

People have been reporting weird credits showing up on r/churning. Likely it'll be clawed back eventually (sorry to be a killjoy).
