Hugging Goofy?

Do you think we will EVER get to hug the characters again? I just can't bear not going to Disneyworld and not getting to hug GOOFY!!!!

Hope they let the kids at least. My granddaughters have a few favorites... Jack Sparrow and Cinderella. I would hug any of them right now (have a lot of men in my business that insist on handshakes so that never stopped for me) but figure its 2022 before things are cool enough for the cast members.

I don’t need to touch the characters. I can’t remember when we ever did. It was fun interacting with objects though. For example, my son when he was in kindergarten drew a picture of chewy and brought it for his m&g. The cast members all made such a big deal out of it and chauffeured him in through a secret entrance to meet chewy because he must have been part of the rebel alliance. Another time Pluto was playing with my daughters little Daisy doll. Those are the times I would miss.

The funniest meet and greets I ever saw was when I went to Disneyland and when I was eating at Ariel's Grotto and Chip And Dale were signing my autograph book and they saw that our table was full of food so Chip And Dale had to sign my book on top of Mom's hair and I laughed and laughed like crazy. Thank goodness Chip And Dale didn't pull Mom's hair or hurt her head. The second funniest meet and greet was at dinner at Goofy's Kitchen and my dad and I were eating when Max came to sign my autograph book and after we hugged and said hello Max went straight to Mom and Mom got all dreamy with him and although the character handler had to take Max to the other tables Max didn't want to leave Mom and when Max finally left Dad and I teased Mom about Max being her crush and she just laughed. But Disney Parks should make the characters hug and interact with kids again and have the face characters at least talk to the kids because it's moments like these that make a person or child special at a Disney park and they should've not taken this away from children because it makes them feel like they have met a new friend. I fantasize about meeting Star Lord one day and bringing my MP3 player with the Guardians Of The Galaxy Soundtrack downloaded so that we can dance to it together

The only character I've ever hugged at Disney was Mulan. I told her she was my favorite princess, and she smiled and gave me a hug. I've just never really felt the need to do it. However, I really would like the personal interactions to come back soon. My daughter loves collecting autographs and photos.

I would love it for the kids sake. My son loved running up to the characters to give them hugs when he was little, and I know how much it meant to him!! Hopefully in due time.

Hug? My DS was kissed on the cheek by Ariel at the Askerhus (?) Breakfast. He was 5. I was jealous. My DW didn't speak to me for the rest of the day.

Oh for me hugging the characters is one of the best parts of Disney... Theres nothing like a Hug from Goofy!!!!!

I just remember my 5 year old holding hands and dancing with the princesses
The “interaction” whatever it may be can be so magical. I hope it’s back. It existed decades without a pandemic. It can exist safely again.

They’re probably not much more profusely sweaty than the people hugging them....blech. Those guys deserve hazard pay! But I hope it comes back too—I’m still a giant kid and love to meet the characters!

I have a six year old grand daughter who just loves the Disney Princesses, she has 8 different dresses and wears one every day after school. So when we are at WDW, her biggest thrill is the meet and greets and hugging those princesses. Yes, I want it to come back, my fear is by the time it does she will out grow the thrill.

Goofy is my favorite so I love hugging him and telling him how he reminds me of myself. Hope someday we will be able to again
