Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

If I recall correctly, It used to be significantly more than $50 to add CL to a regular booking at WL. I think it was something like $120 per room per night (a steal!) then increased ($180?) then discontinued as of now.
It was $50 for sure. We did it several times prior to their closing the lounge for the remodel. I don't know that it ever returned after that. We stayed at WL CL in March 2019, first guest to stay in our room post remodel. It opened the day before we checked in. Then Disney shut down 4 days after we left.

Must have varied in $ then. Definitely was more than $50/night when we did it. A no-brainer at that price 😀

One question: I've heard that non-CL guests at WL are sometimes offered access to just the lounge for about $50 per night. Is this common/still happening? The lounge is really the main draw for us, and if given the chance I'd rather save the $150 and do without the concierge service, etc. I know it's never guaranteed and we'll probably just keep the CL room, but I'm still curious. . .

The club level access option used to cost $50 additional per night when they first started to offer it. Then the price slowly went up to just about $200 per night when we last bought the add on in August 2019. I'm not sure exactly how much it was, but it was more than $150.

Are we 100% sure that they are not letting guests add the club level option to their non-club level reservation? I hate the 7th floor dormer balcony rooms but really love the club lounge. :)

Do all of the CL rooms have the dormer balcony? I've never stayed in a room that has one, but it looks like the view is totally blocked if you're sitting down, correct? If that's the case, yeah, a bit of a bummer as we love relaxing and soaking in the sights. . .(but we'll survive ;-).

Yes, all of the WL regular CL rooms have the dormer balcony. I don’t totally love them either as it’s sort of a bummer to sit and not be able to look out. But it’s also one of those things that if I didn’t routinely read about them around here I might not even think all that much about it. :-)

Unless I’ve missed something I don’t think we’ve seen an actual report from someone who has asked recently.
That's good to hear. :)

I don't think that this option is used very often. We've added on cl for at least three trips and only once did we see another couple accessing the lounge from a room that wasn't on the 7th floor. I hope they are going to continue allowing guests to add this option. After all, they know that many guests prefer to have a real view. :)

Wilderness Lodge CL review

Overall...amazing! Staff was so pleasant and helpful. Food amazing for breakfast and dinner. Enough for a meal, easily.

Breakfast variety rotated about every three days, included a hot egg dish, oatmeal with toppings and a meat (sausage, crispy bacon, ham). Also included fresh berries and melon, yogurt, pastries.

Midday snacks were a little disappointing, but not terrible. Bagged chips with assorted dips (these were tasty!), wrapped single serve fruit, veggies and dip.

Dinner was amazing every night. So much variety! I can’t even remember it all. Each night had a smoked meat (ribs, chicken, brisket, all delicious), some kind of cold chicken salad (traditional and curried), a cold fish salad type dish, cheeses and fruit, kids dish were a roasted chicken and veggie mix and a beef pasta. I watched multiple kids smash bowl after bowl of that pasta!

Desserts were great as well. Fruit cobbler, two kinds of dessert shooters, mini cupcakes and cookies.

Housekeeping was daily and excellent. Rooms bright and clean, love the refurb.

Happy to answer any questions!

Thinking of surprising my BF with a trip here in October and your review only makes it more tempting 😅 we LOVE WL and with our recent BC CL experience last week, we are positively spoiled lol. Now to decide if 4 nights versus 3 nights is more worth it :scratchin

I came here to report on three things I've read and been talking about and then I'll shut up for the day since I'm sure you're all tired of seeing me jabber on. First, with all the odd GDT room posts I'm pretty sure I'm blocked by someone, I'm really confused. Second, my friend texted me this morning and was let know late yesterday that the BWI thing is an IT issue, and CMs that don't want to do digging won't know that it IS indeed CL now, they are working to fix it but it might be a while since it's bottom of the list. Also, she says that currently the extra CL at WL isn't going on, but she said you never know when they could decide to bring it back so never hurts to ask when your trip rolls around. In her exact words "with restrictions being lifted they may feel more comfortable letting more guests in the lounge sooner rather than later, so you never know, they don't want to pass up a chance to bring in more cash."

and with that I am off, don't want to bother everyone today, obviously I've annoyed someone long enough

It made sense for them to offer the add on option since they lost half their CL rooms. But, right now with their limiting access I can't see them allowing it. When things are fully normal again, running normal operationally I do see them allowing it again. I prefer the non7th floor views too

The non-7th floor people you saw may have been Deluxe room guests since those are not all on the 7th
