Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

No parts of the pool are closed. Just some bridges. Really has minimal impact overall. Crowds slightly less than last time I was here in July 2021 (that kind of thing can vary by the hour though). Overall YC and BC are looking great, IMO. The exterior work that has been going on lately (aka, seems like forever) was really needed but it’s starting to shine now,
Thanks for your reply, good News!😁

May I ask all of your opinions?

If you had the money saved (and enough for restaurants/spending also) would you book a water view at Beach Club? Or just save the money and do a standard view?

We don't want CL and we would prefer not to stay at Yacht Club. Balconies are fine if we get one or fine if we don't.
If there was a distinction between pool water and lake water I would do it - I really like the crescent lake and boardwalk views. But it is my understanding that you cannot specify and our last water view room at BC was overlooking the pool and very loud (we go to bed early so this may not bother you).
I would have honestly rather had no view so to pay more for it was a bit annoying.

I was watching a recent YouTube tour of the Yacht Club and they had a king room. The bathroom had a single sink and there was a separate bar type area with a mini kitchen sink. Is this common in the King rooms? Are they all like that? I thought deluxe resorts all had the double vanity

There are a couple of that layout on each floor, mostly located around the intersection by the exit to the quiet pool closest to the store. All garden view, or at least that’s what we had booked when we ended up in them. Not common, although we’ve ended up in them more than a few times.

We've had several king rooms at the YC and all of them had the regular bathroom with the double sink. Many of them had a shower instead of the tub/shower combo.

As the previous poster said, there are a few of the odd rooms that aren't the normal configuration, but not too many.

Seems like we’ll be at Yacht Club for the 4th of July. Do they do anything special?

Great question! Would love to hear from anyone who has been there during that time the past couple of years.

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

:cool2:

Got back Wednesday from a 3 day stay at Yacht Club. It is my third time staying there. Every time I stay there it really confirms that this is my favorite resort on property. The location, the service, the amenities, just love everything about Yacht Club. Just got notice that I will be back again next May. Can't wait!
Glad to hear that you had a fantastic time and that you have another stay coming up!

I'll add you to the list.

:cool1:

Well, we had booked boardwalk for a quick weekend 6/10-12, then thought about adding a night, checking in on Thursday. . .and all that was available was beach club CL. . .soooo what’s a girl to do? We decided life is short, and we will be at BC from 6/9-12. I haven’t stayed at CL at beach club in probably 10 years, so excited!
Excellent plan!

Have a great trip.

I'll add you to the list.

The importance of a view is very subjective and what is important to one family can be very different from what others want.

For me, personally, view is unimportant, but a balcony is. I tend to book the least expensive view.

When is your trip?

We were at the BC for 4th of July in 2017. They had a big schedule activities which included a beach party. They put up a stand on the beach and sold hot dogs and other "beach" food. They also had some lawn games and plenty of pool games.

I'm sorry if this is a question that's been asked before but I'm getting lost in threads today. I've read that the best way to place a room request at the Beach Resort is to fax them. Can anyone point me in the direction of their fax number? Thanks.

You don't need to be limited to FAXs. You can also call 407-934-7000 for the Yacht Club Just call with 9 or less days before your arrival data.

At the 10 day mark your reservation(s) are moved from the CRO system and to the resort section of a call center for room assignments.

This group of CMs can make notes of any room requests. Different resorts share groups of numbers within the call center but each group is more knowledgeable about the resorts vs the general Cast Member group.

What I've read here on the Dis is that resorts don't look at faxes anymore.

You can call 1-407-WDISNEY and have your request added to your reservation.

If you call the number that you think is the hotel, your call will be answered by someone at an off-site call center who might not have ever even been to the hotel you booked.

Some people pay for a subscription at www.touringplans.com and make a room request through them. We have heard that Touring Plans makes the requests by email.

Some people have good luck with those methods. Some people do not have good luck with those methods.

We decided to split the difference and book a garden view. :)

Price not much higher than the standard view, seems peaceful and possibly may get the wall of rooms that are basically steps from Epcot.

I am glad we don’t have any trips planned until the fall.

It just occurred to me that, with the current peanut butter shortage at WDW, it likely means the No Way Jose at B&C is unavailable.

Does anyone know if the Tervis cups are still available at the Beach Club or the Yacht Club? Here’s a pic of the Yacht Club one.
