if the tower is opening late 2024, then sales should start by summer, at the latest, with information regarding it in the spring.

It still think the decision of new or different resort will be known pretty soon.

Didn’t the cali tower open, but only for cash at first ?

They opened reservations for cash before points based reservations but the resort itself opened from the start on Sept 28th as a DVc resort.

With VDH, though, we weren’t waiting on information regarding its status.

We are for the tower

Which way would benefit Disney the most?
You mean new or keeping the same? That is why we have such long threads. Some of us believe it benefits DVD to make it new and others think they benefit more keeping it part of PVB

When the decision is announced, we will know which opinion DVD has!!! Personally, I see no real benefit to DVD to add it to PVB. I think abandoning resale restrictons on a project this big will hurt that strategy in a big way and why I just can't believe they have decided (and I do think they know but just don't want anyone else to know yet) to walk away from those that easily.

What happened at VGF with BPK is just not the same IMO...and why doing it for that small conversion from hotel rooms to DVC hotel rooms could be easily dismissed against the strategy.

But, the one thing we know for sure, DVD always does things that most of us can not figure out so I am pretty sure they will do something that leave both camps scratching our heads!!! LOL

Wonder if the new Poly2 studios will have a real table and chairs. The type of association is irrelevant. No table and chairs in the studios, not buying one point…..
We find this current design trend at the DVC resorts to be unfortunate. While the renovations at Boulder Ridge and Saratoga Springs are wonderful, we do not eat meals in bed or on the couch. Also, I occasionally have to respond to emails and take a call for work, and it is much easier to do while seated at the table than on the couch or in bed.

Good grief. Did owners not have a say? How does it benefit Disney?

The owners don’t have a say in those types of things. The POS gives that right to DVC.

Not sure why they decided that was a better design for the rooms. It certainly doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

Okay friends! The condo meeting is just a few days away! Hoping we get the answer we have been waiting 20 months for!!

Those there, please pay close attention to any slides that discuss the new projects and see if they use PVB or Poly Village Resort!

Yes with new renovations, SSR, BWV, and BRV studios currently do not have any table or chairs. This is such a downgrade.
Could this be due to the lack of space after installing the murphy bed(s)? I'm surprised to hear this... After renovations, Poly studios still have a table and chairs, but it's a tad more spacious.

I think that’s what it is. The designers may have envisioned guests sitting on the couch and raising the lid of the coffee table to create a table for eating or working, with two people sitting on the couch (and two on the small stools if needed). It sounds like that isn’t working out very well in practice.

Personally I don’t mind the absence of table and chairs. Usually just another surface for my family to put stuff lol. The balcony and sofa are usually enough for us, typically for a bite of breakfast or snack. But I could totally understand them putting chairs and table back because so many others need them. The extra space comes in handy though I wouldn’t mind losing it.
