Where In The World 21. We are now completely legal!!!

Is this something that's not always there? Or free standing like a popcorn cart?

Technically, it's always there since it's in Aloha Isle but THIS is not always there. Nothing to do with popcorn. :tink:

Denise....awful train accident in WA this morning. :sad1: So sad and this was the inaugural run! Things like that are always so sad but especially hard during the holidays. :sad2: :tink:

Lucky us ...our temperature could get up to 80 degrees later this week and we're under SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH for tomorrow! Another "life changing" event for us this week...hope these "events" are finished soon...I'm one for a "regular routine". DH has UNRETIRED ...back at work full time beginning today. He's finally realized he's no longer able to handle construction work...way to many aches and pains. Last summer he was contacted by a good friend of ours, an employee in Waller County, adjacent to our county, about coming to work in the environmental department. He kept turning the offer down until it became one that he would have been CRAZY to turn down. They take VERY good care of their employees :D. He was hoping to talk them into part-time but the work load needed him to be full; I wasn't sure he'd take the position until he actually left for work this morning. He's "reserved the right to quit at any time" :-) and after his phone call a few minutes ago he may not make it through the day :rolleyes1. He's SO bored :rotfl:; I explained that would change after the first of the year...NO ONE is "busy" the week before Christmas  and he agreed. We'll see; we hate loosing the flexibility of our schedule but I will be grateful to NOT have to deal with "aches and pains" of construction work. The last "source of stress" settled for 2017...we hope. I'm ready for some ROUTINE! :faint: :tink:

Yes, I've been watching it on the TV here. I-5 is the major highway up and down the west coast. And it was right in rush hour. :sad2: So sad. It's saying 77 were transported to hospitals "multiple killed"

Wow! That is big news! With this new income, I'm sure you will be back at DW in no time! :yay:

Doesn't seem to be any identifying clues...just ornaments and maybe a bow so totally guessing...deluxe, moderate or value? :tink:

party: A little over 3 weeks of 24/7 "stress" is done and official. DD and her husband have sold their "oversize" house! party: The Monday before Thanksgiving a buyer's real estate agent called at 9 AM wanting to come look at their house at 10. DD left work and we did a quick "clean up", leaving as they were driving up. They received word that they were interested in not only the house and 2 acres of land but the entire 4 acre property with the rent house. :faint: By Wednesday morning an offer was made and by 5 that evening DD and SIL agreed to it....since the offer was actually MORE than they'd originally asked for. :yay: House inspection was set up for the following Monday and SIL was given 10 days to make necessary adjustments. Renters were told they'd need to vacate by years end and DD and SIL began looking for a rent house. They were hesitant to begin packing until final offer was made...the family had backed out of a previous deal 24 hours before they were to sign papers and frankly, they didn't trust them. They signed the pre-sale papers and were given until Dec. 8th to move. Found a nice house to rent which was great; downside is the fact that it's 7 miles from us. :sad2: A short 7 minute commute but when they've lived on the same street for YEARS, it's hard for Mimi and Pappy to let that go. They were preparing to begin moving after the weekend in Indiana and New Orleans only to learn the Friday they each left in different directions that the family wanted them out by Dec. 6th so they could move in. We all agreed to pitch in and make it happen but that was also time it decided to rain here for the first time in weeks...and get cold! A miserable few days but "mission accomplished" :faint:; papers were signed Wednesday morning and the "3 day change your mind if you want to cancel the sale" :rotfl: passed at 5 PM this evening! party: Such a relief for them to downsize :dance3:; not perfect (Cici is a "handfull" :faint: at her new home) but we're all adjusting. A VERY stressful few weeks for all of us but we're now REALLY looking forward to Christmas and a great new year! :goodvibes (DIANE...NOW we're celebrating! :rotfl2:) :tink:

that's great news not going to ask how much they sold it for lol will make me sad

:rotfl2: This is one Star Wars fan who doesn't have a problem with Star TREK :rotfl2:...a fan of both! You're probably right...you don't want to know what it sold for when comparing it to your home prices. :faint: What WOULD a 4-5 thousand square foot house, 1700 square foot house and 4 acres sell for in your area? :scared1: Unbelievable what some homes sell for...DH will watch HGTV and go WHAT???...that place sells for how much? :lmao: :tink:

Heard just now there were 6 dead :sad2:; breaks my heart. Yes...the extra income WILL help the vacation fund but he'll need to build his vacation time first. He'll be "treating himself" to much needed replacements items first. :yay: He had problems with his tractor AGAIN yesterday when he was trying to load trees on the trailer for firewood. :headache: I just MAY have to do a solo trip BEFORE he can take time off. :rolleyes1 Not making ANY plans though...I'm still not sure he's going to continue :lmao:; things may be "back to normal" the first of the year. :rotfl2: He HATES being bored; there's plenty work there (that's why they begged him to come help) but these next 2 weeks will be VERY slow. Just hoping he can stick it out until things pick up.

Is this a main tree at the resort? Seems very "bland"? Maybe a tree in a shop? :tink:
