Just some random food questions... (and a small thank you)

So, this Schoolbread in the Norway Pavilion.
Say I were to bring it home for breakfast the next morning.
Would that be a Yay or a Nay?

And if I came in at MCO around dinnertime and were to drive to an apartment at Windsor Hills, what would be the best place to pick up food to eat at the house, or even better order food to be delivered home.
(Is that even an option at a resort?)

Another thing I was wondering about; at MK and EPCOT there are some great breakfast CS/snack options such as Main Street Bakery, Kringla, and Les Halles but what are the places to have a (similar) quick breakfast at DHS & AK?

And besides these questions I just wanted to let you guys know, I am so happy I get to pick your brains for my trip, I'm loving the collective knowledge! I am no WDW expert (here, for my friends and family I am...) but if anyone ever needs an inside scoup on Amsterdam (and especially Restaurants in Amsterdam) don't hesitate to do some return-picking!
:-)

Schoolbread: Probably a nay. I don't think it'd hold up as day-old.

Windsor Hills: I'm sure you can find multiple things on route from MCO, including a Publix. Pretty sure Flippers pizza delivers that area as well.

QS breakfast at DHS and AK: Both have Starbucks. DHS is kind of weak for QS across the board. I think Satuli Canteen has stopped serving breakfast at AK, which is regrettable. It looks like Kusafiri has some stuff, though.

I like School Bread well enough but I agree with the PP. I'm not sure how well it would hold up the next day.

Breakfast at DHS: now that Starring Rolls is gone, I got nothin'. Starbucks would be the only thing I could think of.

AK: I :lovestruc the Anadapur Tea Company near Expedition Everest! It is almost always cold (so weird!) when we are at AK and a hot cup of tea is just what I want. They also serve pastries, iced tea, lattes, and hot chocolate.

Publix is a great option. There are some locations near WDW that deliver so go to their web site and check (Publix.com). They also have a much better bakery than your standard grocery store bakery.

And yes, school bread isn't a good day old thing.
I think HS and AKL are pretty weak in general for the breakfast front.

HS studio days I would say it's almost worth taking the boat over to the boardwalk bakery and then back for some great bakery items. But I don't mind the extra travel at WDW. It will build in about an hour to your day.

I have to disagree. If you get the school bread at the end of one day and eat it at the beginning of the next, it is perfectly fine. I did it more than once before it went off my list of foods I can eat (stupid gluten).

I second the recommendation for Flippers Pizza - they deliver to Windsor Hills. There are plenty of other restaurants and grocery stores near there as well.

I have stayed at Windsor Hills before. We had a 3 bedroom townhouse with a mini pool and really enjoyed it.
If I remember correctly there was a Super WalMart in one direction and a Super Target in the other direction. I believe that there is a Publix in the direction of Target. There probably is in the other direction as well.
If I remember correctly there was also a Krispy Kreme over towards the WalMart. My MIL loves Krispy Kreme and we don't have them where we live, so it was a big deal for her.
We never did delivery, so I can't speak to that.

I brought the school bread back to the room for breakfast the next morning. I asked the clerk to package it to go for me, and she put it in one of those plastic containers with the hinged edge and then in a paper bag. It was just as delicious the next morning. I'd suggest refrigerating it rather than just leaving it in the bag on the counter because of the filling.

Yes, you can get food delivered at Windsor Hills. If you stop in the clubhouse/welcome center they have a bunch of carryout menus for places that will deliver.

For school bread, I read a trip report once of a girl who picked up some just before they left Epcot and kept it in a ziploc bag to eat the next morning. She seemed to enjoy it :)

I haven’t written a trip report in years, but that is exactly what I do!

Schoolbread and coffee is the Breakfast of Champions at Disney World. :)

I order it before Illuminations and ask them to put it in a to-go box and bag. Back in the room, I seal the whole box in a gallon Ziplock bag. It stays perfectly fresh for the next morning.

I do the same thing with Frangipane pastry from Les Halles. It is a rich pastry filled with almond paste and so delicious. It keeps well in a sealed to-go box. I also like the goat cheese tart from there for breakfast the next day, but I keep that in the fridge and microwave it the morning.

These types of breakfast are special Disney ones. I’ve been on vacation with great breakfasts, but not as many choices so easy to get when you’re in Epcot at night. :)
